"The most beautiful place to stay in Siem Reap."
October 2, 2018
Sala Lodges provides accommodation that features real Khmer wooden houses on stilts. The property is located away from the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap, yet it still provides easy access to popular attractions such as the Old Market and the Night Market, both of which are only a 7-minute walk away. In addition, the Resident Royal Palace, the Post Office, and the Angkor National Museum are a 15-minute walk away, while the heritage site, Angkor Wat is only 8 kilometers away.
Each house has its own unique history, with the oldest house dating back to the late 1950s. All of the rooms are well-equipped with air conditioning, safe, mini bar, en suite bathrooms, and a private balcony.
Top features include a saltwater swimming pool with a poolside bar overlooking panoramic views. Other services include free Wi-Fi throughout the property and a 24-hour front desk for currency exchange, tour arrangements, ticketing, and concierge services.
The Sala Lodge Restaurant serves both authentic Khmer dishes and Western dishes. The pool bar serves a selection of refreshing beverages.
"Would recommend without hesitation and would stay again."

Very beautiful and friendly place! ”
Only pros no cons!
More beautiful in reality than in pictures ”
The most beautiful place to stay in Siem Reap. The owner, a thorough gentleman. He cares for his residents amd is always finding ways to make them happy. The staff is excellent, exceptional service. Very polite people. I will certainly go back for longer next time to soak in the beauty and peace of Sala Lodge. Alamdeep Kamboj
My husband and I can easily say the Sala Lodge is one of the best and most beautiful hotels we had the pleasure staying at. The grounds are gorgeous, the staff is very attentive and friendly, great location and the food/drinks are delish! We came to Cambodia with no itinerary and the Sala Lodge staff helped us quickly make all of the accommodations needed for a great trip. A true luxury Cambodian experience.
Excellent stay, great hotel, wonderful pool - disappointing at check out”
Excellent pool and grounds, each lodge offers wonderful privacy. Dining staff was great. Reception staff was reliable and friendly until we checked out and planning to change to a nearby hotel. I remembered thinking RT transfer was included in our rate (like it is at many SR hotels) and asked them to double check, but my memory was wrong ; not a big deal, except they wanted to charge us $10 for a 1/2-mile ride. Instead we grabbed our own tuk tuk for two bucks, on principle, but the send-off left a bad taste, and the friendliness vanished. There are tons of high-end offerings in town and it was low season, so I’m surprised they wouldn’t avoid such a slip-up.
One of the most beautiful places I have stay”
Beautiful Place! All the rooms are different! Each room is a Traditional house from Cambodja! Decorated with such good taste and attention to detail, great job. Would definitly come back and recomend to my friends. Everyone makes you feel so special!!! didnt want to leave!!
Authentic, charming and tastefully design both interior and the garden as well. ”
Great service from the management team and all service staff members. Good quality of food. Peaceful and very private Neighbourhood. Everything was perfect and beyond our expectations. Will definitely be back and stay longer. Keep up the excellent work!
Beautiful hotel with wonderful service”
The hotel is truly unique, far above the standard of other places we have stayed in Cambodia. The beautiful antique houses and attention to detail in the rooms and grounds are wonderful. The price for the hotel was a very good value compared to other places we stayed. Our only complaint was that the food could have been better/better priced compared to what we had elsewhere in Siem Reap, and services such as laundry were ridiculously overpriced for Siem Reap. The service from the staff was wonderful and attentive and of very high quality. With slightly better food, Sala Lodges would have been a dream hotel, and even so, we were extremely happy! We will definitely stay again if we come back to Siem Reap.
A perfect little hideaway!”
So glad we stayed at Sala! The staff were so kind and nothing was too much to ask. The lodge rooms we very tastefully decorated and the pool was small but nice. The breakfast was very tasty. We had dinner here one night and were a little disappointed, but overall everything at Sala was delightful!
Resort style but very closed to attractions”
We visited Siem Reap, Cambodia in May 2014 for 5 days and we spent the first two nights at Sala Lodges. We requested for Room 1 and staff tried their best to accomodate us. Swimming pool is not big, but there are not many people (altogether there are just eleven rooms). Staff from reception and restaurant are all very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended if you want a relax trip in Siem Reap.
Loved our stay! ”
Best breakfast we have had so far! Loved every part of our stay and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommend it for anyone wanting to experience a perfect balance of traditional and modern aspect of Cambodia. :)
Amazing Stay at Sala Lodges”
If you're visiting Siem Reap, you MUST stay here. Nothing else compares. The houses are traditional wooden Cambodian homes that have been refurbished so you have all the luxuries. The staff really do go above and beyond and always greet you with a smile. My Mum and I had dinner nearly event night at the restaurant as the food was so good!! All locally sourced, fresh and organic ingredients. I can't wait to return with my partner as it is a very romantic and special setting.
We loved our time at Sala lodge and will definitely be back! It was like a brain massage - and a perfect place to relax. The staff were lovely and unpretentious. The owner is a lovely guy who gave us some good tips on where to travel. The description and presentation of the food was excellent - we loved the cocktails deserts and breakfasts but main courses were a little disappointing. Thank you everyone at Sala for such a special time!
Sala Lodges was a perfect place to spend four nights. The rooms are magnificent (we stayed in the upstairs room of Lodge 4), old converted houses that retain their charm yet have been modernized for comfort. The staff were always helpful and welcoming. Just a short tuk tuk ride from town... But who wants to leave when the hotel is as nice as it is?
Staff is not friendly”
By first Cambodian travel The hotel to which We are looking forward. In a tour of TONLE SAP lake. I'd like to participate and worried The effect I want to sign up for a tour was told, but before knowing the price, I was applying, so if I thought whether it's expensive and declined once, but the effect proposed as expected after consideration was told, it seemed troublesome, and you took the unpleasant attitude, and he said bad things by Cambodian words at the back entrance of the telephone, and regrettable concern was done. When I'm unpleasant from first, travel becomes regrettable. A restroom has also overflowed. It's surprise.
Dear Nao, Thank you for chosen staying at Sala Lodges in recently. Regrettably heard that you did not enjoyed your stay at Sala Lodges as we are working towards guest satisfaction. Go through the points and investigations, tour boat to Tonle Sap lake was not recommended by the hotel, it is your decision on its booking. However our apologies for what you have found about staff attitude which they're always positive and professional on duty. But what you have heard is must be his repeated word in order to re-arrange another thing for you. Our staffs are well trains to have always politely attitude. Regarding to overflowed of restroom, our concern department has taken action and fixed immediately. With this issue we should have informed immediately as it need to be fix only in couple minutes. In the future should there be any chance you will visit Siem Reap and stay at Sala Lodges. I will personally meet you and assist you to arrange any request which will be made. DOS So
Sala Lodges is a very unique hotel, with authentic Cambodian lodging in a luxury setting. The place is only a short tuk-tuk ride away from the city centre and yet it feels incredibly calm and relaxing. The staff are extremely nice and helpful.
stunning place, unique and very special”
Avoid the bland nondescript standard hotels, stay at this gorgeous place instead. We are vegetarian and ordered 3 items from the vegetarian section of the dinner menu, all the dishes were wonderful -- unique and creative, excellent preparation and presentation, delicious. Will definitely recommend Sala Lodges to everyone, and really hope to be able to stay there again.
The environment was very nice. Everything is good, except you are frog and lizard phobia people. Staff arrangement was perfect. They can prepare the take-away breakfast for early leave tourists. They created a beautiful scene for us to celebrate our anniversary trip. Thank you ...If I come to Siem Reap again, I must choose this hotel again
No words to explain how good we felt! Congratulations to the os era and the great team running the lodge.”
Amazing lodge, rooms, gardens and sharing areas. All the team excellent...!!! Very helpfull, warm and professional. The place and the team make us to feel great. A really very nice place to expend some days in Seam Reap. In case we go back to Seam Reap, we will repeat for sure. Everithing was perfect...!!!
Original, authentic villas & friendly service ”
The hotel houses only 11 villas making it a quiet destination (if you don't mind the ongoing noise from nearby village) Comparing to another hotel we stayed at in the city during our 3 day getaway to Siem Reap, the service though professional, was nowhere near to being able to accommodate our requests. The only cafe/restaurant serves a mix of Khmer & French cuisine which was disappointing. Our vegan versions of dishes were simply bland. Breakfast experience will maybe satisfy any omnivore with variety, for us however, the fruit platter served (one of the five items on the full set menu that any other guest would receive) felt unrewarding. We felt awkward that we need to ask for a double portion of such staple product in any SE Asian country. Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The check-in was smooth and rooming professional. It's a cute, charming hotel if you don't expect too much. Good for families, I suppose. Not sure about the role of the western staff members hanging around the bar but not helping out much when obviously the local staff has some language barriers to overcome.
Fabulous experience at Sala Lodges”
It was great. The team really went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. The rooms were really big and also very clean and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful, and had a really nice pool. All in all, it was a great experience.
