everything was greater than the expectation”
We stayed there for a week and we had a fablous time entire our whole stay! The hotel is pretty close to the airport (approx. 10 mins drive) and especially the staff was very nice! If you are going to visit Koh Samui island, then I definitely recommend to stay at the Sala Samui Choengmon Beach!! Choengmon beach area is much quieter than Chaweng beach area so if you are looking for nice and quiet holiday then Sala Samui Choengmon Beach is the place to be at!
Amazing highly recommended hotel”
we stayed in a sala pool villa for 10 nights during our honeymooning june this year. we had an absolutely amazing time and would definitely go back. the whole resort was beautiful, very well looked after and very clean. choosing the sala pool villa was definitely the right choice. we loved our 'outside' bathroom and had no privacy concerns whatsoever. the bedroom felt very luxurious and the bed was super comfy and massive! we did get a few mosquito bites overnight, though as part of the turn down service the hotel staff do spray the room and light an insect repellant incense. it was amazing having our own pool, sun loungers and day bed and we spent most of the time in our own pool area. it got sun almost the full day, especially if you're willing to move your sun loungers around a bit! we did spend our last day at the main pool area (there are 2 communal pools) and also loved that. again the staff were super friendly and handed round iced water, some pineapple and even a taster cocktail. the breakfast was very good, with anything you could want, including a large variety of fresh juice ranging from orange, apple, pineapple to very exotic juices such as lychee. we only ate in the restaurant twice apart from breakfast - once for lunch and once for dinner. our dinner experience was the only disappointing part of the stay. we booked for the sea food bbq and despite booking a table in advance, when we arrived our table was not set. it took 10 minutes for it to be fully set despite us asking repeatedly. although there was plenty of pre-prepared food, we were also disappointed at the quantity of seafood available for bbq-ing. this put us off eating there for dinner again and preferred to eat outside the hotel where there were some lovely and very reasonable restaurants in choengmon, both on the beach and main street. captains choice and a smaller thai restaurant on main street (next to gift shop). we would highly recommend sala samui and choengmon.
So close to perfection!”
Me and my partner just stayed at Sala Samui for the last 2 nights during a week holiday in Samui. Before Sala we actually stayed at the W Retreat for 5 nights which wasn't great enough for relaxation and we were so glad that we changed to Sala instead of staying 2 more nights at W - since Sala truly offered us a much more relaxing experience. We arranged a car to pick us up from W to Sala at noon, the driver was friendly and talkative. When we arrived the hotel, it already gave us a relaxing feeling with its simple design (white and wooden everywhere, with lotus planted around). After check in the girl (sorry I forgot her name but she's sweet and spoke very good English) brought us to our villa - the one we stayed was one of those one bedroom villa (#58 two levels) and we couldn't be happier with it - compared to the villa at W - our private pool and deck area was twice bigger!!!! The villa was very ready when we walked in, with music playing, and a big plate of ham platter & big bowl of fruits awaiting for us! The girl also had a tray of different pillows for us to choose from, which I found extremely attentive because you could actually feel it rather than reading description from a pillow menu. Apart from the pillows, she also made us choose the soap and body lotion that we liked. At Sala, there are only 2 places that you can find food! One is at the hotel entrance, kinda felt like it's detached from the hotel but it's not. An Italian restaurant called Pangaea restaurant, it's not charming at all to eat inside, but the cocktails were pretty good! And the serrano hams they have are good but cheap! Another restaurant is Sala Restaurant which is located right next to the beach. We did enjoy the food very much but suddenly there was a street cat just popped up from nowhere! And there was another cat when we were on our way back to the villa - I did get quite freaked out after all it's a hotel!
Wonderful Stay.”
Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms. SALA Samui Choengmon Beach is a nice hotel with excellent food and service. Breakfast is good. Overall the experience was wonderful and enjoyed swimming as I booked pool-villa room type I will definitely stay there again if I have a chance to come back Samui.
Perfect Beach Vacation wtih Exceptional Service”
The Sala Samui is located on a quiet section of Choengmon beach with two beautiful pools. The hotel is picture perfect and the service is stellar. The rooms are awesome with all kinds of amenities including selecting your own pillow type (from five options) as well as your own soap scent (we were fans of the lemongrass). We stayed in the garden view room which was perfect, but if you have the budget definitely up grade to a room with a personal pool!
Paradise At Sala Samui”
We stayed here for the second leg of our honeymoon in Koh Samui. The first half was spent elsewhere which only had a handful of villas and was away from the beach. Sala Samui offered a different experience, and not in a bad way. We stayed in a 1br pool villa which was simply breathtaking. My only comment to others is privacy is what you get. We pretty much hung out at our villa, barely went to the beach, and checked out the public pools briefly before or after breakfast. We never even got to take a swim at the beach (albeit a lot more private than Chaweng Beach) because our private pool villa was just too awesome. Staff was nice and friendly but because the resort is on the larger side their busy-ness can sometimes be mis-interpreted as rude. Overall it was a great place to stay, especially if you want peace and quiet on Samui.
This best resort on the beach”
This is our third stay at this resort. We had booked into two other resorts for our stay but could not resist finishing our holiday at Sala as it is the best resort on Choengmon Beach. I would love to review the other two resorts Muang Samui (booked through Agoda) and Q Signature if you would be interested.
Exceeded Expectations!”
We read lots of online reviews of resort hotels before deciding on Sala Samui and we were not disappointed. The design and layout of the Sala Pool Villa was prefect -- pool was larger than expected, the outdoor bath area allowed us to take full advantage of the perfect tropical weather, and the room itself was very comfortable. Providing a choice of four types of pillows was a nice touch. The restaurant was ok for a resort hotel. The casual place near the entrance was nice for light dinners of pasta or pizza but for some reason seemed under-utilized. The hotel is located at the quiet end of a pretty busy beach, filled with other hotels and restaurants, making it easy to find variety for lunch and dinner.
If you wanted a getaway spot - this is it!”
We stayed in a beautiful Sala Pool Villa which had everything we wanted (including 4 different types of pillows), an outdoor bathroom (the novelty we never grew tired of) ... and its own private pool (which we used at least twice a day). The resort itself has very relaxing feel - and that relaxing feel is made even more pronounced by its location on Samui. It is sits on a beautiful quiet (almost secluded) beach with only a few other resorts ... the beach forms a little bay. The water is warm, waveless and relatively shallow for a good way out. We enjoyed having mocktails by the beach in late afternoon. The staff and service they provided was excellent. They always stopped what they were doing to greet you on your way past and would do anything to provide what you wanted. Breakfast (included in our stay package) was of fabulous. You could have anything on the buffet as well as order anything off the menu free of charge. And one morning we ordered breakfast room service and that was also free. We had a truly wonderful time at Sala and when it came time to head home we were very sad to leave. PS Even though for us it was a long over due honeymoon we noticed couples with younger children and older couples as well - they seemed to spend time by the 2 separate resort pools. So while it was a romantic getaway for us (and if you want to hideaway in your villa you would never know other people were around) it is still a place for more than just couples.
Lovely relaxing hotel. Fantastic service”
What is there not to like. This boutique hotel just gets it. We couldn't decide between staying at sala samui or akryan so stayed at both. 4 nights sala, 3 nights akryan and sala wins hands down. We are a professional couple in our late 20s early 30s who were looking for a high end place to relax with the option of accessing other areas and in striking distance of good restaurants Rooms We had a pool villa. Bedroom was a good size. Be warned the bathroom opens directly onto the outside, think four wooden posts supporting the roof with white linen curtains and option of pulling down a thicker cover if you chose. Very nicely done. Pool in our villa was smaller than Akyran but still a good size. Having seen both the garden pool villa and pool villa not really sure what the grand difference was bar a slightly bigger bedroom at the latter, certainly don't think you will miss out by having a garden pool villa. Service From the moment we arrived we were greeted with welcome drinks, whisked to our room where we were given a choice of pillows and a choice of soap. Nice touch. The lovely lady whose name I can't recall (with braces) was superb. Immediately put you at ease, friendly and always seeing how we were during our stay. Little touches like tradition Thai sweets left during turndown where nice too.
Nice and Quiet 5-Star Beachfront Resort”
Choengmon beach is a relatively nice and quiet area of Samui, not far from the airport or local attractions like the Big Budda. We had a garden pool villa and a 2BR pool villa, both were comfortable. Beach access was nice. Staff were helpful. Food quality was good. Overall, this is a charming and comfortable place to stay for a few days. There are restaurants nearby that provide good-quality and reasonably priced Thai food, like The Mother and The Orchid. A day tour to Ang Thong National Marine Park is very nice and can be arranged by the hotel.
Luxurious hotel but a bit cold”
we stayed 3 days at the sala samui with my girlfriend. we took the villa garden with the private swimming pool. our arrival at the hotel was charming, they welcome us very nicely with some drinks. we liked our room really much but i was a bit disapointed by the size of the swimming pool, was expected a bit bigger, but it is not important. the hotel is nice and very private. each room is private too. breafast is ok, a bit disapointed but it is ok. the nicest things about this hotel is how quiet it is, the nice swimming ppool and the nice beach. i however think that this hotel is slightly overprice, and you can have better for cheaper, like the rocky, where y stayed and where it was amazing.
SALA Samui Choengmon Beach Review”
An unforgettable and pleasant experience over at SALA Samui! Tip top service & provided the best for their guests at optimum level. All staffs were very friendly and humble. A place suitable for all ages especially for honeymooners. A very beautiful villa we stayed at surrounded by the tropics. Beautiful stars sparkling in the sky as we walked down to the dark-pit beach at night. Something that we definitely can't see it in Singapore. Lovely & good job SALA Samui! 👏💯😘
Worth every penny ”
First stay in SALA Samui for the purpose of attending friend’s wedding and secret propose arrangement for my own. Excellent resort for couples n family, fair price with the most private swimming pool, comparing to Conxxx Samui. Will give 10/10 for the staffs always with smile on the face anytime. Special thanks to staff YAM for the propose arrangement, thank you YAM n SALA Samui that she said YES.
Superb!!”
All of the staffs are very polite, flexible and professional. House-keeping ,cleaning-staffs and Beach-boys gave us smile every time they found us. They always met our requests as much as possible. I've stayed at Sala Phuket and Sala Rattanakonsi(Bangkok). This Sala Samui is the best branch in Sala-group so far:) I will try another Sala in the future also and will come back to Sala samui again:)
Incredible”
Our honeymoon celebration at Sala Samui was incredible. We were totally in awe of our amazing room and its amenities, the perfect location of the hotel, the friendliness and attentive staff (who do whatever they possibly can to please you), the multi swimming pools (communal and private), the relaxed vibe on the beach, the restaurant (which has the most fantastic breakfast buffet, and their other meal menus are excellent) and the fitness center (which is pretty well equipped). We would go back to Sala in a heartbeat.
Super Sala”
Sala is a great spot to relax and enjoy the services and facilities provided. The hotel is set on right on the nicest beach in Samui. The hotel is located away from the night life action but that does have it's positives. Taxis to Chaweng cost 300 baht each way, however scooters cost around per day. Hotel food is good quality but there is also cheap neighbouring options to eat and drink. We stay in the Sala Pool room which includes all extras - pool, bath, flat screen, dvd, etc. You won't regret coming to the Sala.
20th Anniversary Stay at Sala Samui”
We celebrated our 20th anniversay at Sala Samui. I don't think it could have been any better. We were greeted with roses, champagne and our bed decorated with rose petals in the shape of a heart. The staff treated us like royalty. The location on the beach is excellent. The 2 swimming pools are wonderful. The food is delicious - especially the green curry. We'll definitely return to Sala Samui.
Location and service is wonderful”
Hotel located near the beach and airport, the environment is great and silent. Ideal place for the leisure trip in Koh samui. Inside the villa is clean and tidy, the staff also very helpful and professional, especially the turndown service, they will spray to kill the insects. Private pool’s temperature is Not too cool which is suitable even in evening. The room service is perfect. We don’t have to leave the villa for the whole afternoon. A little thing which would be improved is hotel should try to offer the shuttle service to new coming guest as airport taxi is quite massy and ask for a high price.
Exceptional”
The SALA Samui is a beautiful small resort in Choeng Mon. The food in the main restaurant is fantastic, the two pools (one for adults only) are beautiful and the beach is safe and clean for swimming, paddle boarding and kyaking. The two bedroom pool villa is amazing with two bathrooms and a lovely pool and relaxation area. Fisherman’s Village is a 15-20 min cab ride and Chaweng is less than 15 mins. However the hotel’s restaurant was so good, we often ate there at night. We stayed in July and the hotel had a nice relaxing feel about it, not too busy. The hotel staff were fantastic, always friendly and helpful. Our kids (early teens) loved it too.
