We really enjoyed our stay. Although, it was quieter than usual on the island the hotel has a beautiful pool and Haad Salad is great for kayaking and snorkelling close by. We’d recommend it for a quiet or family stay. The hills are pretty steep so be mindful of this

Fantastic room, remote location”
The room is by far the nicest I have stayed in at this price point, period, and could easily go for twice as much in a more densely populated area. It is located at the bottom of a steep driveway, which they shuttle you up and down on request. You can rent a motorbike at the top of the driveway, which is what we did. Access to local restaurants and shops is by beach access only. Limited connectivity by road.

I had a pleasant stay. The hotel sat on a quiet strip of beach which made for a relaxing stay. The staff were wonderful, helpful, and very responsive. I thought the hotel was well kept for the most part. The pool and dining areas were very clean, my room was clean. A little dated and small but comfortable enough and served its purpose. I had a wonderful massage at the hotel as well. I would recommend to my friends and would definitely return.

Not cheap. But for a wonderfull view this is the place to be. Nice pool. Our room (family room) was specious. Good beds. Keep in mind that if you need stuff from a supermarket, you need to go outside salad beach.

fantastic location”
The Salad Buri is actually a great resort at one of the most spectaculae spots on Phangan. Unfortunately, it is apparent that it has been hot by the pandemic, as its restaurant is closed and the huge pond, sprinklers and waterfalls are out of order. Nonetheless, the remaining staff are doing their best to keep the place up and running. So there is hope that this place will be up and shining again in the future.

Good point: staff very friendly, good restaurant not expensive, good location on the beach, nice swimming pool area. Downside are: a bit expensive for what it is, room are a bit old (but functional), villa with pool never get the sun hence the pool remains cold enough (like 24degrees), some villa can get very height (like 7 building floor to climb everytime you go to your room) but our was only 2 building floors height.

on photos hotel looks luxury but in reality its outdated - old furniture in rooms, dont have douche near pool If it was 3star hotel for 50 bucks a day - it will be okay, but not with prices theu suggest for their rooms

Bad Start”
We arrived around 8pm at the ferry port in Thong Sala. Pick up worked out ok, but the welcoming in the hotel wasn’t inviting at all. It smelled like piss in the lobby because of the open standing door to the toilet. 1st: the toilets shouldn’t smell in a good hotel. 2nd: if so, the staff should be aware of it and close that door. Then the check in.. Not a word about the facilities, no information about anything. They just guided us to our room and left. By then it was around 9pm and we had to discover, that all kitchens in the restaurants on the beach where closed already. So we had to go to bed hungry, because there is no supermarket or anything else in that area. Also next days where mediocre. So we changed hotel after two nights. Maybe in Main season it is nice to stay there because it’s more quiet, but I’m off season it is too quiet….

Weird COVID times but still wouldn’t recommend. ”
Granted due to covid, the hotel was pretty empty but I’m sorry I still wouldn’t recommend the hotel to anyone. The rooms are very old and smell a bit moldy. The furniture is old wooden and outdated. Upon checking in my electricity didn’t work nor the hot water, once again had to call someone to fix them. The staff kept telling me the hotel was closed and that’s why nothing worked.. but then why is management putting the rooms on OTA? Finally I settled in and then of course realized the WIFI that was provided didn’t work either, and no one was answering reception. This went on and I decided to stay the time I had paid for and go to a different hotel. I did not feel welcomed to the hotel nor were the rooms nice to be in. I don’t understand why Agoda dated a 4 star to be honest, perhaps the upgraded rooms? - Be careful the hill to get down to the hotel is VERY steep. I am a very experienced motorbike rider and it’s nearly vertical. You will need a bike as it’s is 10min drive from town
