Best in gili air”
We stay here for 2weeks and had a great stay. Staff are very friendly. The property is clean and well maintenance. Pool area is very comfortable. Also this resort has the best restaurant. We try all the food and it really fit to our taste

Be aware it's a 20 min walk from the harbor and it's very hot but the staff meets you at the door with a cold washcloths and refreshing drink.

Pros: good location, lovely garden, helpful manager. Spacious bungalows. Cons: loud band several nights a week. Even though bungalows away from the bar, quite intrusive. Loads of staff but not very efficient. My bathroom was dark & dank.

Problem with bedbugs terrible in 1st room (Leo)”
Staff was fairly responsive but absolutely didn't know how to handle it. Didn't know they needed to clean around bed very well & after 2nd night of seeing them (4th night in room eeeks!), they upgraded us to new room in Demeter villa which was really nice, gd AC, had tv & fridge in upgrade. Rerented Leo room without fumigation, etc. Breakfast only fair. Kitchen & other staff very nice, but restaurant food only fair. Pool & location great.

Cute place. Staffs were so cute and lovely! Constantly smiling. Perfect location for sunrise view on the ocean, and great snorkeling spot right out from the beach front. There’s rental shops for gears and bikes, and diving shops. Less happening if you’re looking for bars and night time events, more for the day time more peaceful time. Pool was sketchy.. but there’s the entire ocean so didn’t matter. Recommended!

This place was a very pleasant surprise and it wasn't our first time on Gili Air! We stayed at the Zeus cottage; the gardens are lovely, the cottages are close together but still feel private enough. The good: - Each cottage has a hammock and a lounge outside, so you can relax with Bintang:) - Perfect location close to all the good restaurants and the clean part of the beach. - Very powerful good aircon - though if you leave it for the day it struggles a little - works well at night though. - Turtle Beach is just around the corner - go snorkelling there and you will indeed meet a turtle. - Beautiful light but filling breakfast, everything was fresh. - They use coloured linen and towels which is particulalrly smart in Bali - they never look dirty or washed off. Smart choice! The meh: - Lots of mosquitoes, so make sure to bring your own repellent and tablets for it - the one provided isn't enough *there's plenty of powerpoints though, so you can have a few running at the same time. - No hooks in the bathroom despite it having lots of space - not very convenient, we had to drop clothes on the toilet. - A pool would be nice - the back garden is quite bare and could definitely be upgraded into a pool - wait, am I dreaming? :))) The verdict: we'll be back, overall loved our stay. A Wonderful welcome to Gili Air”
This hotel is a wonderful base for Gili Air - in just the right place for getting anywhere in the island and in the heart of the restaurants and bars. The best thing are the staff - we arrived to a misunderstanding about our second room (we wanted a twin for our boys and got a double) but very quickly they added a good quality extra bed for one night and changed rooms around to let us move the next morning. But it was not only this - the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The villas are very comfortable and the attached restaurant/bar is friendly. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

We had an excellent stay at Salim cottages. We stayed in a superior room and they were great. The AC was great was the bed was good. There was on open style shower so there was the odd mosquito, but they weren't an issue at all. The shower head was quite low, but again was not an issue. I would definately recommend.

Our stay was really great. The staff really made us enjoy our stay because of their friendly attitude. Our cottage was nice, with a shower and toilet under the stars. The hotel also has a "cinema" above the reception. We would stay here again if we'll ever go to Gili Air again.

I had such a lovely time here. All staff were very friendly and kind. The room was clean and cozy. One of the greatest thing was having breakfast seeing the sea. Banana pancake with pineapple juice were a perfect meal! I definitely recommand this hotel to anyone who will stay in Gili Air. Thanks a lot.

Nice pool”
We had an extra bed added which meant there wasn’t a huge amount of space. Room was fine with furniture to put things in. Really liked the fact that they refilled glass bottles for the room - very eco friendly as no plastic used. Setting for the bungalows is really pretty and staff maintain the area well. Pool area was lovely with enough sun loungers and some really comfy circular beds. However, chemicals in the pool turn swimwear and goggles green! Breakfast was tasty but was often lukewarm. The pancakes came out hot and they were delicious so I’d recommend them. Meant to be in front of the best snorkelling spot on the island but was disappointed with this. Saw mostly dead coral, a few fish and no turtles. Having just come from Gili T where we regularly saw 4+ turtles snorkelling at turtle point from the beach, this was disappointing. For most of the day, there is no beach in front of the hotel as the tide is so high. You have to walk further up to get beach outside Scallywags. Highly recommend the bbq at Scallywags - the unlimited salad with an bbq purchase is amazing - so many tasty choices. We hired bikes to cycle round the island but quickly realised this wasn’t the best idea as deeper sand in many places makes it impossible to cycle parts of the circumference. Bikes are great to explore inland though. Overall the hotel was fine, but we deliberately booked it for beach front location so disappointed by the fact there was no beach outside. If I’d have known, I would have booked a cheaper place a short walk in land.

We spent a few days staying at Salem and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cottages are clean and comfortable, swimming pool great with lovely loungers. The position is excellent with a popular restaurant overlooking the sea. The staff really make this place they were friendly, helpful and great fun. I would certainly stay here again.

The location was the best and the personnel were very kind. The views from the restaurant were beautiful. Only minus - and a huge one - were the roosters right next to our cottage. Every single morning they started their morning crows at 6 am and we couldn't sleep after that. Very annoying. But maybe the noise isn't so bad to other cottages.. But if you wake up at 6 am anyway, this wouldn't be a problem!
