Back Again Sir? - No I live here!”
So actually - the reason I have reviewed this hotel so many times that if perception was reality I never seem to leave. Being in KLIA2 airport - this is an excellent place to stay when transiting with Air Asia or in my case avoiding facing up to the KL traffic. There's no pool here but hey - this is a transit hotel and there is a Tapas Bar just outside reception. The only reason Sama Sama Express isn't excellent value is - as those of you who have been paying attention to my reviews know - that the standard offering on Agoda is only 6 hours and additional hours at check in are relatively expensive compared to the original Agoda Price. Now if you extend as often as I do ( it feels like I've been here 3 years already) the cost adds up - like at $AUD13 an hour! Nice money if you can get it! The staff are like friends - I mean after 3 years we've really got to know each other. I can even recite their explanation as to why the additional hours are so expensive. However be careful what I wish for. If Sama Sama Express and Agoda resolve this one issue by offering an online 9 hour option, they will be forever fully booked and I will be forever in the Tapas Bar. So if you arrive and the place is full - don't blame me. Just come over to the bar and we'll have a drink. It's going to be a long night.

Nice but for the extension price”
Back again (anyone would think this is the only hotel I stay in). For a change I wasn't alone and as usual when we are transiting through KLIA2 with Air Asia we stayed at Sama Sama Express. I've sort of gotten over myself and having fallen out of business class with the last round of cost cutting I no longer expect a pool and a piano bar in a low cost airport hub. I say sort of as the bar is actually just outside reception. They maybe sick of me saying this but...the only reason Sama Sama Express isn't excellent value is that the standard offering on Agoda is only 6 hours and additional hours (generally only available on check-in) are relatively expensive compared to the original Agoda Price. (My average 3 hour extension is around $AUD41.) The staff are really friendly up to the point they have to handle a random jetlagged incoming guest wanting to know why the additional hours are so expensive. They were quite unable to handle the explosive US visitor who detonated at reception. Fortunately the rooms are quite well insulated and the sound of his echoing protests were quickly lost as I closed my door. So Sama Sama Express and Agoda - how about it? You could resolve the exploding guest syndrome and enhance staff retention just by offering a 9 hour option, thus going 5 star across the board. My only problem then would be that Sama Sama Express will always be fully booked and I'll be stranded in the aforementioned bar. Cheers!

Extension Price - not so nice”
So as anyone who has read the reviews know - I practically spend more time in this transit hotel than I spend at home. So these same people know that my only beef is with Sama Sama Express is that the standard offering on Agoda is only 6 hours and additional hours (generally only available on check-in) are relatively expensive compared to the original Agoda Price. (My average extension is 3 hours costing around $AUD41.) I pretty sure the staff would dearly like to tape record a message from management to answerer why the additional hours are so expensive. Anyhow this time I boycotted the extension and sat resolutely in the bar awaiting a check-in time exactly 6 hours from my preferred check out time. For those tempted to follow my lead - don't. There is only so much red wine and tapas you can consume in 3 hours so I returned slightly under the weather and over the weight and begged the Sama Sama Express staff to charge me for the extra hours. If Sama Sama and Agoda could just offer a 9 hour option, I could retain my dignity and waistline for my next visit. My new problem then would be Sama Sama would always be fully booked and I'll be back to red wine and Tapas for 6 hours. Oh this could end very badly for me!

Exceptional customer service”
The staff at the Sama Sama Express KLIA2 were exceptional, nothing was a problem Thank you . I have been travelling for close to 40 years and this is by far the best customer service that I have ever experienced. If you only have a short layover in Kuala Lumpur and Be sure that your luggage is checked to you next destination at your point of departure -this is the hotel of choice. No need to clear customs , your checked luggage stays with the airlines and you and your carry on luggage go to the Sama Sama Express inside the secure part of the airport .

Very Nice but for the Extension Price”
Given this is a hotel within the airport this is an excellent place to stay when transiting through KLIA2 (Air Asia). I mean you shouldn't expect a pool and a piano bar in a low cost airport hub right? The only reason Sama Sama Express isn't excellent value is that the standard offering on Agoda is only 6 hours and additional hours (generally only available on check-in) are relatively expensive compared to the original Agoda Price. (My average extension is 3 hours costing around $AUD41.) The staff are really friendly and only loose points due to their embarrassment at having to answerer why the additional hours are so expensive (heard a US visitor going quite ballistic my last check in). If Sama Sama Express and Agoda could just resolve this one issue by always offering a 9 hour option, this would be an all-round excellent proposition. My new problem would be Sama Sama would always be fully booked.

Awesome”
When I firstly booked Sama-Sama Express Hotel KLIA2, I thought it just a hotel located near to Tune Hotel. But it was in satellite building right after your immigration check point and walked for 6 minutes until you reach ERAMAN duty free shop, turn left before you step down to escalator. My 1st impression was WOW!!! I rated 5 stars cus its clean, super cold a/c and nice location~Well, I booked Sama not because Im transitting flight but my next flight to HK was the earliest, so I slept overnight in Sama and boarding relaxly without rushing. I will be booking Sama again on my next early flight😃 CONS: You can only bring carry luggage to stay in Sama. NO checked luggage allowed

Home in an airport”
Yes it's me - back again transiting through KLIA2 (Air Asia). No pool but there's a little Tapas bar by reception. This was one of the rare times in memory the 12 hour option was available on Agoda but when I arrived there was no power due to some jack-hammering worker bee somewhere in the airport getting a quick frizzy hairdo as he severed the main power. I was about to let the jetlag get the better of me when the lights came back on and I got a free breakfast. The staff were really friendly and handled me - and the situation very well. If Sama Sama Express and Agoda could always offering the 12 hour option, I would be a forever happy traveler. Except then they would be forever booked and I'd be forever sitting in the Tapas bar opposite with the now unemployed worker bee with the permanently smoking hairdo.

Super location for transit passengers”
For 8 hours' long wait for my transfer, I booked Sama-Sama Express KLIA2 Transit hotel for 6 hours stay. It was super decision I made. The hotel was just on the Transit hall which had lots of restaurants, duty free shops. It was so convenient! You can easily find the hotel with well directed sign from gate. The room is not that spacious but it was enough to take some rest for 2 people for few hours.

Grateful for a comfortable bed - but annoyed at transfer gatekeepers”
If you don't mind spending a few extra dollars, and are keen to avoid the additional hassle of going through immigration to get to the transit hotels located just outside the airport - Sama Sama Express is a great option. The room was clean, shower was great, bed was comfortable and the staff very friendly. I had an 11 hour overnight transit on fly-thru ticket. The airport staff member guarding the 'transfer door' closest to the food court and Sama Sama area of the airport (satellite terminal) would not let me enter saying 'too long'. Advice from the staff member on the transfer desk was 'go to the other side of the airport (main terminal) and enter transfer area there'. I followed this advice, and was allowed to enter. Then simply walked back across to the satellite terminal and checked-in to the Sama Sama. It seems a bit ridiculous that even with an onward journey boarding pass, and a confirmation at the Sama Sama, that i was not allowed in through that first transfer door

Fantastic find”
As a solo traveler, and then as a couple, it was easy to find ways to kill time during a stopover, but now we have a baby/toddler, those relaxing days are gone. Sama Sama Express to the rescue. It provided a much needed opportunity to take care of the baby's needs (quiet feed, nappy change, comfortable nap without distractions) mums needs (let the toddler go for a minute while I eat something) and both adults needs (have a shower and a decent coffee) On top of that is the ability to book a room for the 6 hours we needed is just clever. Very happy to recommend this place to one and all - no matter what kind of traveler you are, so long as I can still get a room next time I am at KLIA2.

Convenient: great for a long stop-over”
Good location for in-transit stop-over with restaurants and shops available without passing through immigration and customs. Make sure you know your flight is using KLIA2! If KLIA then use the other Sama Sama hotel. Friendly staff, clean room. For a sleep and a shower no window is no problem.

Excellent”
Such a great to stay (given its inside the airport) when transiting through KLIA2 (Air Asia). The only reason it isn't excellent value for money is that standard bookings are only 6 hours and extensions (generally only available on check in) are relatively expensive per hour versus the first 6 hours on Agoda. I generally extend on arrival by an average by 3 hours each visit - around $AUD41 additional. The staff are really friendly and only loose points due to their embarrassment at having to answerer why the additional hours are so expensive (heard a US visitor going quite wild my last check in). If Sama Sama and Agoda could resolve this one issue by offering a 9 hour option this would be an all-round excellent transiting proposition.

Excellent travel hotel”
I enjoy staying at Sama-Sama Express KLIA2 on overnight layovers in KL, and have had a nice visit to the bigger Sama-Sama hotel outside of the airport as well. The room I got on this visit was comfortable and clean, but there was a strange unmarked door on the far wall without any interior lock for security. It gave me the creeps but I slept well and had an otherwise good visit.

Good Place for a Stop over”
We stayed at Sama Sama Express KLIA2 (Klia TWO) for the 1st time during our recent trip back to Indonesia. We had a 6 hour layovers in KL and booked ahead of time to ensure we were able to get a room. On arrival, finding our reservations and checking in took a little time but it was low fuss in the end. The room was quite new and very comfortable - we had one with a comfy double. Didn't have to clear customs and immigration to get there - and it was super easy to find - just follow the signs. Showers are a highlight as others have pointed out, the rainhead shower is just to die for, after a long flight from Macau. Prices are a bit high for only 6 hour-stay, but I would recommend this hotel as a way to spend your layover.

Money well spent”
First time stying at Sama sama and it was well worth it for our 8 hour layover. Booking process was a little confusing as I wasnt sure how to book for the correct time slot (flight landed at 4:30am and hotel policy said check in was 2pm) but after emailing the hotel they told me your time starts when you check in and you can check in anytime for that date. Room was small but clean and comfortable and had everything we needed- even basic toiletries so we could shower before our next flight. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone with a long layover at klia2

Convenient”
Booked many times at Sama-Sama KLIA2 for myself when traveling solo, with my partner, and also for my family (parents and sister). It’s pricey but the convenience it offers makes it worth it. A place to get a good sleep, clean shower/toilet and it’s within the same floor as all the forex/restaurants/shops. Staff is helpful and also the one responding to emails for queries answers on time and offers other helpful options. I haven’t tried the lounge area/option for shorter flight gaps but I’ve seen the chairs in the area, I wish they are reclinable like the other lounge rooms in airports so travelers waiting for their next flight can also stretch their backs a bit and chill.

Great airport accommodation”
Great way to pass the time and freshen up whilst in transit. Myself and my wife used the Sama sama on the way to and from KL and couldn't fault it. The rooms are new and spotless, very clean. The only faults were the shower gels/shampoos etc must have been refilled as both times they were not very generous with topping them up and there was no TV, maybe you had to pay but it didn't bother us as we were just resting/sleeping. The wake up call service so that you don't miss your flight is also great. Myself and my wife forgot to mention that we were out of the room shopping and at the next door bar and on returning to the room found the staff walking the opposite way from our room after them trying to wake us up and calling etc! At least you know, even if you're in a deep sleep they won't let you miss that flight!
