A little paradise easy to get from Rayong. ”
it was fantastic, we never left the hotel in the 2 nights we stayed there. It literally took one minute from my room to the beach, a beach that was uncompromising, quiet, no vendors, calm waters. Te staff arranged for us to have a beach bbq for a very decent price we got fresh crab, squid and huge shrimp. We swam from morning to midnight in the calm and clean waters right in front of the little resort. Getting there was also a breeze, Ao Noi Na the first stop if your travel by speed boat, they drop you off right outside the hotel and the vacation starts immediately. It is also the last pick up so you are in Rayong bus station in 20 minutes! I found a quiet paradise and I ll go back.
Clean, sleepy stay on a quiet part of the island”
Had a lovely stay. We speak Thai so not sure how the experience would've been on English. The staff are Burmese and very helpful. Was nice and quiet (other than the renovations currently being done) and very reasonably priced. At the time we stayed there was no dining option so I would recommend taking your own breakfast (but from rayong or 7-11 on koh samet if not fussy) unless you're happy to pay over $10 for an average breakfast next door. There is a little food shop over the road that make yummy, simple Thai food for as little as 50 baht. So close to the beach and a nice quiet part of the island. Definitely worth hiring a motorbike to get around.
Beautiful QUIET beach ”
Overall beautiful beach and very slow and quiet for Koh Samet. Staff a little slow and I had to wait for awhile to check in arriving at 1030 and being told no room ready till 12 was a bit annoying but it was a beautiful place with decent food in a great location and had wifi free. I nice quiet little getaway. And I recommend renting a motorcycle across the street as taxis are expensive. It's a 15 min ride to the party side of the islands by ao prao
Great location right at the beach, but small room”
We delighted our stay at the Samed Seaside Resort because of its very charming location right on the beach where sunrise every morning is awesome... We enjoyed the quiet environment. The hotel staff is friendly and polite although they do not understand english (except the manager who is not all the time at the resort, but reachable through cell phone). The room is small, no cupboard nor hangers (would have been very practical)... We could also take the cab for 200 baht to the popular Sae Kaew beach in 5mns where all the restaurants and fun activities happen.
Quiet Beachside Location near town and Sai Kaew”
My family and I sayed at the Samed Seaside Resort. The rooms were fine, opening to the garden area facing the restaurant and the ocean. It was nice to sit down at the restaurant, hear the surf and enjoy a meal as a family. The food was well cooked and priced affordably. We liked the location a short bus ride from town, the main pier and Sai Kaew Beach. Sai Kaew was a nicer beach, but it was filled with shops, restaurants, bars and resorts. There seemed to be a lot going on at Sai Kaew Beach, while the Samed Seaside Resort beach area was quiet an restful.
Nice beachfront hotel. Our room was just right on the beach only a few steps away from the sea and it's private. No one there when we stayed (low season). Food at the hotel is tasty but also pricey (Not many restaurants around there) so you don't have many selections. If you look for some quiet beach, this is one of them.
pleasant and quiet”
It was a quiet and pleasant resort.not an ideal location but not too far from shopping/restaurants.if you want to relax and stay away from the hustle and bustle then samet is not the place to go.it does what it says...weekend break not far from the mainland/bangkok.the island itself needs some serious cleaning as litter can be found almost everywhere.
4 days fully enjoyed”
The sea view room we had was great, the hello kitty sheets were unexpected but... we can get use to it (and we spent only the sleeptime there so... no matter the sheets actually) ^^ the staff was friendly but 2 of them aren't thai so it's not easy to share something. The «little cooker girl» is amazing. Pure thai, cooking good as hell, we enjoyed every single lunch and dinner there. I would recommend that place just for the food, but the beach and sea view are great also. Believe me, the food there, true thai flavours and really really tasty. I took E-san food as local food as typical thai food, always always well prepared and tasty.
most impressive is the beach which is only 20 steps far from the hotel, very beautiful, peaceful, few people and a bar beside. the room is clean garden is good, staff is friendly and price is reasonable.
Quiet and relaxing away from the noisy nigh life.”
Resort was quiet, relaxed and away from the major nightlife area though access to that is easy if thats what you are looking for. Staff were friendly helpful and efficient food was okay. Some great restaurants within walking distance and easy transport into the National park and the major beaches.
perfect,stayed on longer”
The staff are the most welcoming and friendliest i have met in in the world, let alone Thailand, and i am well travelled.Ice cold aircon in a large comfortable clean room, comfty bed and large bathroom, meters from the sea. Was only ment to be staying for four nights but ended up staying eight. Perfect
Clean, quiet, beachfront”
About 2km by road from the noisy parts of the island, but with its own private beach. Works best for the independent traveller who will hire a bike (only 300b/day) from the pier. Rooms are new, and it's a quiet, beachfront resort. Pretty basic, but great as a low-cost base for activities around the island.
beach- only at the evening”
first of all - everyone wrote that there is beautiful beach...but it's huge simplification. beach is present only during the evening(sea tides are present (sea is changing the water level depending to moon phase, and day/night cycle), during a day there is just sea. it's quite far away from center of koh samed and best beaches in the island (2 km, 20 mins walk or you can catch the taxi if you're lucky) hotel is still under construction/ renovation, wi-fi was working dependent from sea level :p, air con working, but every loudly, and if we turn on air con, there was almost all room vibrating, and when our neighbor turn on air con, our room enhanced this vibration (like resonance box), hard to fall asleep. comfortable beds, clean bathroom, no "small guess from outside", a ot of gekons but they are cute :) almost no mosquito. tv only in thai, and quality of signal very poor. this hotel will be probably nice for next seansów, when they finish all those work. localisation - no special view (due to east part of island, even no sunset view), no beautiful jungle or beach, just hotel far away from the city.
very nice ”
very nice location , very quiet also , the people are friendly and the rooms are clean
They should learn to smile ”
Not only are the rooms tiny for the cost but so is the resort , it is being built around a semi knocked down resort and has absolutely no amenities, could not even get a coffee there in the morning I paid for the deluxe but it was exactly the same as the standard , all glass windows and doors on the outer facing wall , but there was no net curtains so you were either on view to the whole world or you drew the curtains and were in darkness . They are trying to be chic but i don't think they really have a clue , there was no service from the limited staff , they did not tidy even bottles left on the table by the sun lounger stayed there 2 days, lots of pots of water but no fish so problems with mosquito's We had a visit from the health authority who were putting anti mosquito pills in the pots , but i only found out what they were doing as i asked them , the resort never mentioned it I highly do not recommend this resort it is over priced and badly run
It was good location that room in front of beach. Friendly staffs.
Quiet beach but far from major tourist attractions”
We stayed over the New Year so there was not quite a lot of options for us. I'd say the comments are quite true, there is a nice tiny beach quite close to our room to enjoy oneself. Facilities are okay, room simple but you have everything you need. And quite good food actually!
horrible, poor staff, dirty”
this was my first time in koh samet and our family went traveling for the thai holiday songkran. when we first got to the hotel the girl at the front desk didn't know how to find my reservations and it seemed like she never used agota or any other hotel booking agency. waited 30 minutes for her to figure it out. once she found my booking she argued with me about paying extra for my 8 month old baby. she then dropped the keys down on the counter and told me to follow the other girl to our room. when we got to our room we noticed a pink stain on the sheets. the bathroom was so nasty that we didn't even feel comfortable taking a shower in it. we ended up staying out at our friends place down the road and coming back in the morning to check out and go to our next reservation. i never experienced such terrible service from a hotel before. beware of this place.
The beach front room is amazing. Huge modern room And Beach front view
