Ideally located in Cebu City, this property is within close proximity to Basilica Del Santo Nino, Magellan's Cross, Patria De Cebu, La Nueva Supermarket, Cebu City Hall, and much more. With major attractions, popular shopping malls, and entertainment centers just a drive away, it is surely a good location. Sampaguita Suites Plaza Garcia boasts a variety of elegant rooms that are suitable for couples, families, and business travelers. All in all, Sampaguita Suites Plaza Garcia is worth the stay.

Best inexpensive place to stay in the heart of the city”
Booked a Family Executive room and it was spacious enough for four people. The staff were nice during our stay. I love the location because you're just a few steps away from Magellan's Cross and Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño de Cebu. Also, right beside the building is an Islands Souvenir shop and across the street is McDonalds. They have a cafe downstairs and room service is available. We ordered three times, so it's safe to say we liked their food. My favorite is their tapsilog. There's always a 30-minute waiting time for the food though, so it's not for you if you're in a hurry. The only thing that's missing is a bidet. Our comfort room didn't have one. But overall, it was a great stay. Will stay here again if ever I come back to Cebu. ❤
Location is excellent, bathroom and room very old and has a mildew/moldy smell. Staff excellent. Will not come back!
I and my partner checked in to this hotel last July 14 before we proceed to our country side tour to Bohol. So far the place is okay, near to the landmark and one ride going to the Pier to tagbilaran. When we get there around 3 pm we just stay at the hotel. Sorry but the this hotel offers no complementary water. I ordered water and the water was delivered to our room quickly and I asked the guy(house keeping) if what jeepney we need to ride going to Pier 1. He's very polite and smiling face unlike the FO. So far the hotel is okay .
The AC is not excellent, room is small, no complimentary drinks (bottled water) and no free soap and shampoo. The cable has limited channel. Most downfall is the Internet which is most necessary for us travellers. for the entire stay Wifi is not accessible at all.
Walking distance to pier - perfect for a overnight stop in Cebu ”
Very basic rooms but all you need if like us you are only staying the night before moving on to somewhere else. Air con worked, bed wasn’t too bad, bathroom shower pressure was good enough. We got a metered taxi from the airport which came to around 400P and walked to the pier, about 10mins away.
Old and poor facility, good location”
We landed at ard 2am so we wanted to save money and stayed in a cheap hotel. I know you get what you pay for, but I still found the environment a bit dirty. There were small cockroaches in the toilet and bad smell in the room. Anyway the location is excellent, close to the pier that we walked there to take boat to Bohol island next day.
The place is in the heart of the city. Beside that its near the Sto. Niño Church and Magellans cross. You can walk around 3 to 5 mins.
Near SM Mall”
Reasonable price for short stay because early check out to the pier
Very Good Location”
Location is near the church and other tourist attraction areas. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, they were able to accommodate us some of our requests especially additional beds even though the hotel is fully booked at that time.
Beyond our expectations ”
Considering the low price we paid, we were very surprised that the equipment works very well ( A/C and hot water) and the room so clean. The staff is very kind. The view is also ok from 4th floor ( city view). It took us less than 10 minutes walking to Pier 1, the departure point to Bohol by Oceanjet ferry. It's also perfectly located for Old City walking tour. Don't miss dinner at KKD STK+BBQ at 5 minutes walking.
The place is accessible to everything like convenience store, fastfood, supermarket, several attractions in cebu etc. Room is clean very nice staff even though check in time is 2pm we arrived as early as 8am they accepted our baggage and roam around first. We came back earlier than check in time but since there is 1 available room they let us check in earlier maybe for humanitarian reason because my little girl is sleeping in their couch lol... What i just dont like is there is a foul smell in the elevator but for the very affordable price that's ok.
A TALE OF TWO HOTELS WITH THE SAME NAME/OWNER”
Booking on-line is convenient but sometimes problematic and mistakes can't be corrected. I'd previously stayed at the Sampaguita Suites near Osmena Circle years ago, and wanted to stay there again. However, the problem is that unbeknownst to me, a second "Sampaguita Suites" is now open in midtown Cebu (Garcia branch). I mistakenly booked the wrong branch. Agoda doesn't allow you to cancel (with a refund) even if it's 5 minutes after you book. So, I sucked it up and had to lose my money for the booking. The Sampaguita Suites*Garcia) admitted that the two branches were owned by the same company but would not allow us to transfer our booking. So, we took a taxi across town and paid again. After all is said and done, I'd say it's a decent deal for the money as far as budget hotels go in Cebu City. No complaints other than they aren't very flexible/accommodating to assist when they know it's an honest booking mistake.
I was with my parents when we bookes our stay at Sampaguita Suites. We were bound for Bohol last May 14 and the location was very convenient since it was near Pier 3 (Cebu To Tubigon). I booked a Standard Triple room and got just what we paid for and more. They have cold and hot shower to offer and wifi, though the connection is faster down the coffee shop. The utilities were okay. The three of us have bath towels and soaps but no shampoo or toothbrushes included. The also have good food at the cafe, though this is paid separately since free breakfast is not part of the arrangement. The staff were very polite and accommodating, as well as their security guard who hailed the taxi for us. Overall, our stay at Sampaguita Suites was lovely.
Good location and that's it”
If you're planning to take a trip to Bohol after a city tour, this place is perfect for a one night's stay. Walking distance to Magellan's Cross and other sights, and also close to Pier. Place could use a bit of cleaning; aircon is too loud; elevator is out of order; food in room service is below par. The property is also unresponsive to queries made in Agoda. However, we got the rooms on a discounted price, so it seems like we got what we paid for. At regular price, however, it would not be good value for money.
Good for an overnight”
We stayed here because it was a 5min walk to pier 1. We arrived at night and left early morning. Good for an overnight stay and if you travel by ferry the next day. Didn't checked the neighbourhood actually.
Rooms were clean and spacious. Hotel was walking distance from the ferry terminal and some attractions. There's plenty of food nearby as well! I wouldn't rely on there being WiFi in the rooms. Even though there are WiFI routers on each floor for this, ours wasn't working in our room (as advertised) that night. When we informed the front desk, the staff did not take action to investigate or fix this – the only advice we got was to retype the password (which I responded we already had) or use it in the lobby. We ended up having to use the WiFi in the lobby next to the guy who wouldn't lift a finger to reset the router. Never have I ever been so awkward and annoyed at the same time. However, at the end of the day, despite the disappointing response from staff, at least there was usable WiFi in the building.
I was with my mother (senior citizen) and my husband who has mild stroke and we have to always use their basement which is sooooo dirty & smelly & the ramp from the basement to the road is quite slippery that my husband slipped, luckily I was holding him so he wasn't hurt that much... Also, I have to ask for a pail & dipper since the water in the shower is going out on all joints when we take a bath....
Cheap & comfortable ”
Location is very good, very close to/from South Bus Terminal. Facility is clean, strong hot shower, really good value for money. Need to be careful about calling a taxi from front desk. We requested front desk staff to call a taxi (to airport) for us, and the staff asked us to take a "private taxi" waiting in front of the hotel. Driver quoted us 495php. We told the front desk staff that we like to take a regular taxi not the private one. A regular taxi was 261php and we paid 300php with tips.
Location is great if you would do the old cebu city walking tour. It is also near the pier if you're going to Bohol. The room is clean, however, for the restroom, the sink is clogged and the water flow or pressure of the shower is low. Overall, the experience was nice. Highly recommendable. Will definitely book again.
Worst than pictures ”
I booked in this hotel to be close next morning to Cebu pier. There was no water when we arrived at night till the morning. In the morning when the water came it was very week. Every thing was very old in this place.
