Staying at samui beach resort”
We have stayed at the samui beaxh resort for 4 nights. When we saw the pictures we were quite excited, everything looked fine. I'm always a bit sceptic about the photo's on internet. But i must say it was better then our expectations. The food they serve is very good. The location is quiet and peacefull, just perfect for relaxing a few days. The resort has everything you need, from massage to scooter and boat rental. I would really recommend samui beach resort when you wan't to escape the big crowd on koh samui and just relax for some days.
Paradise on a budget”
I came for 2 nights and ended up staying a week. Samui Beach Resort is a little slice of paradise on a budget. I stayed in one of the fan bungalows and in Jan/Feb it was perfect... not too hot at all. My room wasn't the nicest in the world but comfortable and enough for what I needed! I didn't come to stay in my room... I came for the beach! My room was a 1 minute walk to the pool or beach. There are plenty of lounge chairs for either one. The pool is a nice touch for people who don't want to get in salt water. The beach view is beautiful and quiet... not too many other people there. The waves on Lamai are bigger than some other beaches too. SBR is close to a great viewpoint too... grandfather/grandmother rock. It's kinda far from the main strip of resorts on Lamai.. plan to walk about 2k or get a ride up there. The restaurant has a nice selection of food, Thai and Western. And the quality is good too. It's cheap by Western standards but not by Thai standards... but what do you expect from a hotel restaurant? The week I was here they has 2 BBQ buffets with live music for only 350 baht (~12 USD) The best things are really the staff and the owner. The owner is like a friendly innkeeper... he comes around, talks to the guests and makes sure everything is great! The staff is friendly and they do their jobs well. By day 2 they all knew my name and my preferences to take care of me. The only downside is the wifi. There IS a signal but it's spotty throughout the resort. It's great at the restaurant/poolside/beachside, and in the front reception office. Everywhere else, it really depends on your room and what's going on with the signal. I'd definitely stay here again!
Great place to stay in Lamai”
I was looking for a quiet place on the beach, but not too secluded, and this place was perfect for that. Walking distance from the town but still had my peace and quiet. One minute walk to the street (7/11, shops, travel agencies) and less than that to the beach. The restaurant is by the pool with a view to the sea and serves good food, the room was clean and large (although the shower was a bit small) and the stuff was friendly and helpful. The hotel beach had comfortable beach chairs (free to use) and the hotel supplied beach towels. Good wifi connection as advertised. Overall, I had a good time there and would definitely recommend the hotel (and Lamai beach) to any friend traveling to Samui.
Good, cheap and clean hotel.”
My stay at Samui Beach Resort was everything I expected my stay to be. My only very minor complaint, and I didn't expect this at the price I paid, was I like my water cold, and there was no fridge. I think a fridge is a necessity in every room, even a dorm room, in countries with tropical temperatures. But, for the price, if it is not there then that is acceptable to me. Apart from that, I enjoyed my stay immensely. I am not a night owl, being an older, quieter type, but there were no raucous carry-ons by drunken yobs, no brawls or screaming matches, and if there were it wouldn't have bothered me anyway, as I am there to relax, and if my sleep had been broken I would have just stayed in bed longer in the morning. Samui Beach Resort is a great place to stay for those seeking good, cheap, clean accommodation, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, not that I had much interaction with them. Once I am checked in I don't need my room cleaned for the few days I was there, or my bedding changed, being a very clean chap. I was asked a couple of times by the cleaning ladies as they went about there tasks with smiling faces, but I just smiled back and said, 'mai kaap'.
Relaxing, convenient, amazing ”
Samui beach resort is amazing. There is a restaurant that has an ocean view and serves amazing food. We ate there a lot and eachother dish that we ordered was delicious! The beach chairs ae free to use! The beach is steps from the hotel. The pool is good. We stayed in the garden rooms and had no complaints. The beds were made everyday and they supplied us with more toilet paper. The only thing is that it is about a 15 minute walk to the market of Samui. So you can walk on the beach at night which is super dark or on the street with cars whizzog past you. Not my favourite thing.
A warm greeting with simple and affordable resort”
it is a lovely place in lamai beach after escaping from a crowd of chaweng beach, which we got a very noise place before. we were lucky to have this hotel, samui beach resort. we got a front beach sandard room with fan. it is a clean hotel, simple hotel with a warm welcome greetings by the owner. we booked for 2 days but finally we took longer because we feel this is a comfort resort. it is worth it as we dont want to spend much money but we could have front beach view, sun bathing umbrella and small swimming pool infront of the hotel. we also were lucky because at the first night we stayed, the hotel provided a live jazz music performance in the opened mini bar. it was so romantic. eventhough the price doesnt include breakfast but you also can order if you want. the mini bar reserve meals, drinks and some food. however, nearby this resort, there are 2 small markets and several small restourants that have a very delicious food with a cheap price. you also can get easily to reach grand father and grand mother rocks as they are only 2 blocks from this hotel. you feel like at your own home, for sure. natural and quite. thank you mr jangkung, the tall guy, the owner of the resort. thank you for your warm greetings and the services.
Perfect Stay ”
The stay at the resort was really good. Everything was nice and clean, the room had a good size and the pool / beach was just a walk away. There were always enough seats at the pool and the beach, only a few more umbrellas would have been nice. The beach at that area is very quiet and good to swim at. Restaurants and shops are in waling distance. We really enjoyed our stay at samui beach resort! :)
A comfortable, modern hotel with great beach acces”
Having booked my stay in desperation from the wifi at the 7/11 near the port where I was stranded, I turned up at Samui Beach Resort the day following my reservation, but the staff didn't mind, as it was the off season. The premises are long and well-manicured, full of cool statues and traditional wall engravings. The end of the property holds the pool and bar, opening on to a fantastic stretch of beach. There were a few cool people a the bar, and while I only stayed for a night, I'd heartily recommend the place as a comfortable, reasonably cheap beachside resort. on the downside, the bar/restaraunt is overpriced and mediocre. But it overlooks the beach, so bonus points...
A fantastic team running the place.”
We stayed at Samui Beach resort for 4 nights and loved it. The staff and manager are very warm and friendly and looked after us while we were there. The rooms are set in a lovely quiet side street and is less that a minutes walk to get to the beach and its swimming pool. They have a great restaurant with western and local food just by the pool and overlooking the ocean. We were very impressed by his place and hope to stay again soon.
Paradise Hotel - Best Deal for PRICE”
we had an amazing stay at the samui beach resort. staff is super nice and friendly, service is great. whatever you'll order on menu will be delicous. on the beach. walking distance from koh-samui attractions.
Very comfortable stay”
The fan rooms are very nice, modern and spacious! It was nice to have a room that close to the pool and the beach (could see the beach from our cosy terras). Rooms were cleaned daily! All the rooms are located in a very well maintained garden. The beach is very clean and calm (away from busy bars) enough lyingbeds and a good sea to swim in. There were some rocks in the water but since the water is clear you could see them pretty clearly. The staff in the hotel was very friendly and helpfull and nearly all of them speak very good English. The restaurant was a bit above our budget but we did eat there once and it was very good! On the street right outside from the hotel are a couple of stores where you can buy drinks and food. The centre of lamai is half an hour walk over the beach. There were plenty of cheaper options for eating in Lamai centre (very good foodstalls at night with seating area) As backpackers we don't mind walking the distance to Lamai centre but for those who do there are plenty of taxi's available. We enjoyed a very relaxed and beautiful stay!
Great stopover for sightseeing.”
We stayed in the hotel's best room as it was the same price as the average rooms in other hotels. It was spacious with full length glass windows all around looking out to the pool/sea. If you opened the blinds, anyone walking past to get to the pool/restaurant could see in! It had dining table/chairs, big fridge, tv, settee. The standard rooms were also lovely, just a lot smaller. They were all white and nicely decorated with towels made into shapes on the beds. The smell of the bad drains were overpowering in the bathroom, but that's quite usual in Thailand! The whole complex was small with a good atmosphere. There were unusual statues and ornaments everywhere which gave the place a modern outlook. The curved wicker sunbeds around the pool gave the place a luxurious feel, and there were more sunbeds on the beach for the hotel's customers. Thai women have an area on the beach at the front of the hotel and they are so friendly giving massages. Small nice warm pool open late into the evening. Lamai area needs pools to swim in as it is usually very windy and the waves are extremely rough. The restaurant/bar had very friendly staff and good food and service. The breakfast wasn't included in the price of the room but you could order what you wanted at the restaurant (varied cheap options) and you could have it anytime. The staff at reception were a bit more disinterested. They offered us a private taxi when we left which was twice the price of the taxi we hailed from the street (the hotel's owner had told us to do that by email prior to arrival!) He was from Holland and very nice, spending time with his customers in the bar area in the evenings. He gave us a free late check out, as we had checked in late just the night before and so we were able to spend the whole day around the pool and in and out of our gorgeous room.
Great hotel with nice staff”
Enjoyed our stay at Samui Beach Resort. The staff were all friendly, the breakfast was good and they are close to some good restaurants. They have a beach BBQ on Wednesdays with a live band. Many guests were enjoying it, I didn't care too much for it. This is at the northern end, and it's about a 10 min walk down the beach to the main street.
I randomly pick hotels on the web.and looking for a nice, homey and not old-fashioned hotel on the smaller scale. I select AGODA to fullfill our dreams, and booked Samui beach resort. The welcome was warm and professional.and its so enjoyable beach and swimimg pool in side the resort. such as a paradise on earth.thanks q so much AGODA.
Great budget hotel right on the beach!”
we originally booked for 3 nights and ended up staying 10 nights. we rented a motorbike/scooter to zip around the island and also spent time on the beach relaxing and getting massages. wifi by the pool was very helpful. on at least 2 of the nights they had bbqs and live music - very nice. the room was comfortable enough. the shower did not have a curtain so the whole bathroom floor got wet, but atleast it was large enough that clothing on the counter (at the other end of the bathroom) stayed dry. we will stay here again when we go back to koh samui
Samui Beach Resort - tranquil”
Lovely two days at Samui Beach Resort. Modern rooms and facilities, located at the South end of the main Lamai beach area. This is away from the main tourist strip, and quiet. Hotel staff were attentive, the beach-side restaurant good for both quality and value. Beach vendors (food, massage, souvenirs etc. ) available but very respectful -- no hassles. Fresh roasted corn followed by mango makes a fabulous light lunch!
Brilliant value, a great place to sit back and rel”
I chose samui beach resort for the great prices with the look to relax and unwind for a few days. The beach is just on the doorstep with a nice sized pool. Food was great and reasonably priced. All staff were really friendly. My room was massive, clean and bright with a balcony and ensuit. Air conditioning was amazing too! The only down side to this place is the location, there's not much near by to do so you need to get a taxi if you want to go out at night or eat somewhere different. However there are a few nice places to eat and bars along the beach. A great hotel to just sit back relax and do nothing away from the busy crowds.
We chose Samui Beach resort because some friends were already there. The locations is ok, shops and restarurants nearby. The beach is beautifull, nice to hang-out by the pool in the evening. We rented a skuter, had free internet, fresh towels every day. If I visit again, would chose the same bungalow with ac and big tv,confortable bed but not the ordinairy room (dont like if shower is together with toilet). The staff is friendly. There is a safe in reception, you could rely on its safety. Go for it!
Nice hotel, comfy beds, clean rooms”
for the price this is a great place to stay. room was clean and kept clean all 5 nights. shower was hot and the tv had a few movie channels. wifi did not work in our room but anywhere around the pool area or up at the lobby it worked fine. food was fine at the resort. lamai is about a 15-20 minute walk on a beautiful beach. beach at resort is fine for swimming if u like big waves! otherwise the pool is great.
Wonderful location on a quiet stretch of beach.”
We stayed at the Samui Beach Resort for 11 days during out CNY vacation. Although the rooms are a bit dated, they were comfortable enough and were cleaned daily. The rooms could use a few seats and small table, this would make them much more comfy. The dining and pool area are right on the beach, beautiful vistas all around. The food at the restaurant was good, best pad thai we had in Samui. The resort has a great BBQ and live music on Friday nights which we highly recommend. We didn't get much ocean swimming in due to the high waves but we enjoyed the pool. All in all I would recommend staying at this lovely resort. The staff were excellent as well.
