Located on the northern part of the island, this resort is ideal for a laidback vacation. Samui Buri Beach Resort is located on the white sand Mae Nam Beach while Bophut or the Fisherman's village is just 10 minutes away. The Nah Pra Lan Pier is just five minutes from the resort from which you can catch ferries to some of the excellent dive spots nearby. Golf enthusiasts will be pleased to know that Mae Nam Beach is home to the only 18-hole golf course on the island - Santiburi Samui Country Club. At the end of the day, make you way to the resort's spa for some luxurious massage treatments. For a relaxing holiday in Samui, away from the crowds, Samui Buri Beach Resort should definitely be considered.

Excellent Stay, top class facilities, service & beach.”
Title says it all really. Great service on check in, big spacious rooms with large balcony. Good wifi. Excellent restaurant for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Really nice infinity pool but we spent our time on the sun loungers on the beautiful sandy beach. Samui Buri was a great choice. Highly recommended.
Beautiful resort right on beach”
My husband and I chose this resort due to it's quiet location, we booked an 8 night stay in a pool villa, the breakfasts were fabulous all staff polite and happy, there are a few maitenance issues which need to be addressed and the pool in the pool villa is more like a large pond, the photo's on the web site are a little misleading, however we loved our stay and would come again and reccommend to other travellers who want a picturesque, quiet and more mature vibe. Note it is quite a distance from Chaewang so if you don't mind paying for taxi's or hiring a motorbike then it could be ideal for you.
It would be nice to see them update their fitness equipment. The location for the fitness room is amazing, but what they have inside is extremely disappointing. Some travelers like to workout while on vacation!
Lovely pool and restaurant on beach”
The property is long and narrow so no villas or rooms have ocean view. All have private little pools but the main pool is large, clean and very close to the beach. Beach has coarse sand and is rather dirty - the staff never cleaned up the garbage washed in at high tide. Restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. Breakfast quite good but could use more variety - exact same fruit choices every day. Dinner way too expensive so nobody seems to eat there - several very nice local restaurants nearby. Biggest disappointment is that the rooms are completely sealed - not one single window can be opened - very claustrophobic - forced to use a/c all the time which I hate when close to the beach. However, rooms are large and clean but too dark. Shuttle to Chaweng only at 4pm - inconvenient time and no return service. Airport transfer way too expensive but several taxi services just outside the property with reasonable prices
Shame they messed up our booking! ”
Having booked a month ahead for a villa with private pool - the best room available - we were surprised to be told on arrival that the we were to be downgraded due to over booking! I have never heard of that in a 4* hotel. The girl friend was not impressed. As compensation we were given free tickets for the evening BBQ but that didn't really make up for the disappointment. But after a day or two we settled in OK and enjoyed the rest of our stay.
Very clean very nice got upgraded to pool suite excellent service
Fantastic beach location and great for a quieter family experience”
This was a great hotel - I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay away from the hordes in Chaweng and Lamai. The beach was lovely - it felt as if we had our own private beach. The staff were very attentive and breakfast was both plentiful and delicious. The massage ladies on the beach were wonderful! There is the offer of a free shuttle bus to Chaweng or Bo Phut every night which we did - it was lovely however to return to our quiet retreat.
What a wonderful place for a family stay on Koh Samui. Excellent facilities and an amazing room/accompanying pool to die for. Brecky spread was the best we've seen on our three week Southern Thailand trip. We will be back.
Very good and quite hotel at a nice beach”
My girlfriend and I went for a relaxing and a bit adventure trip. The hotel was perfect to relax. There are not so much hotels located at the Maenam Beach. Despite the quietness there are some nice bars and restaurant next to the hotel. A beach bar were belongs to a german man and a little nice restaurant and travel agency belongs to a young german man. The staff was perfect. All of them were so friendly and helpful. The facilities are ok but there are better hotels out there. Maybe a little renovation should be take place.
We stayed just 1 week here and it was so nice resort with Thai style, fantastic pool with seaview, quite beach and clean, the staffs are friendly and the food was perfect... Thank you for your services, we will come back soon with our whole family.
Very Good stay however on arrival was informed breakfast for children under 11 was 250 Baht. When booking Hotel it was informed children under 11 stay free when using existing bedding. On arrival we were informed 250 Baht is the standard rate for under 11 year olds, we had a 7 year old girl. If this is a standard charge why not include this in the rates when booking on line rather than being deceptive and hiding the cost and informed on arrival ? On principal I refused to pay the 250 Baht and received a call an hour later from the Manager reducing the cost to 150 Baht, which I very reluctantly accepted. My message to Hotel Management is include the rate in your booking details so Customers know up front and not when they arrive.
children breakfast extra 300 Baht/day”
It is not a cheap hotel, and it was very disappointing that as soon as we have arrived they told us we must pay for my five year old's breakfast. On agoda it was written children under 6 are free if using existing bedding. So, I really don't understand... He eats two small pancakes for breakfast is it really that much that is worth to disappoint a guest at arrival??? Above this the room was nice, the garden is beautiful, the pool is also good, however I only suggest it if your child can swim already, cause it has a very small part which is not deep. If you want a relaxing holiday far from everything, and you are not with children it's a good place to relax
Hotel is a little far from the main road. Limited dining options around the hotel. The hotel's secluded location also meant that the place is quiet. Room was big as well as the bath area. Sound proofing can be improved as the couple living 1 floor down came up and told us that my kids were making a din. Staff was courteous. The hotel furnish a mini ice bucket at about 1800 hrs daily, which I thought was nice.
Relaxing and Secure”
We were greeted with a lovely drink and cold face towels on arrival. Lovely. Spacious room, delicious breakfast, lovely staff - they came to turn the duvets every evening and left a flower on the bed which I thought was sweet. I felt safe as there were cameras all around the resort. Fabulous breakfast, wide choise, I personally loved sushi. The sand on the breach is abit rough but had fabulous time swimming in the sea and pool. All well looked after and I would recommend this place to anyone who look for a quiet and relaxing holidays (option to take a taxi to chewang i think) for busier night life.
They are trying but it's a tired "resort" ”
It was fine, I don't know if I would go as far as to say it was a resort. It's very out-dated, a lot of heavy dark wood etc. The staff tried to me nice, it was fine but not worth $100 per night. Wouldn't rush back.
Really pleasent stay. Quiet beach, nice swimmingpool, good breakfast, really nice and clean big rooms, friendly staff and just 10 minutes away with a motorbike from BoPhut. I would really recommend this place. And around the hotel you have some really good, clean and cozy local restaurants!
We had an enjoyable stay it is a relaxing comfortable hotel.it is on the beach which is good and has a good pool and restaurant.the staff are friendly and helpful. We had a pool outside our room which was very convenient.
Bungalow with plunge pool: Pros: Spacious room, private pool, beautiful gardens with good staff. Perfect for a romantic holiday. Cons: The layout of the Bungalow could have been better to be more useful. Overall We enjoyed our stay there a great place to be if all you want to do is relax, swim and enjoy peace. The gardens are really beautiful with birds too. Its an amazing hotel and right on the beach. Very nice having breakfast by the beach too. If you want to indulge and have peace this is a good place!
This is a VERY nice hotel!”
This is a very nice hotel!! The staff are very attentive with the little things that make such a big difference. The only thing is that the prices in the restaurant are expensive. A small bottle of water for 60 bath and if you want to buy breakfast they only offer the buffet for 500 bath. Otherwise I just love it!
Big pool right on the beach!”
We chose to take the mini-van offered at the Airport to anywhere on the island for 150 baht per person, and it turns out this saved us 300 baht from what the Hotel would have charged. We were greeted with a drink and cool towel and the Reception staff were very helpful with all our questions throughout our stay, as this was our first time to Samui. Our room was huge, with two double beds, and as well as a welcoming bowl of fruit there are some other nice touches that appear during your stay - I don't want to spoil the surprise, but they are thoughtful additions that we have not experienced anywhere else before or since in Thailand (and we had no problem with wi-fi, which was free!). We enjoyed the varied choice of breakfasts that were freshly prepared to order, but didn't use the Restaurant in the evening - it looked a little pricey for us - but there are half a dozen very nice Restaurants within 10 minutes walk. We used the free shuttle (make sure you book in advance) to Fisherman's Village and this was a nice change as there is lots more choice, and a street market in the evening - we paid 300 baht for the taxi return. We took the 10 minute walk along the beach to the Ferry to book our tickets, and when we were leaving the Hotel provided a car to get us there free of charge. Although this was our most expensive Hotel in our stay in Thailand I would recommend it as it is in a serene location and the staff and extra touches made us feel like we were really having a special holiday!
