Family stop on Koh Samui”
It’s a great location away from the bustle of Koh Samui but close enough to shops and restaurants. Staff organised scooter hire which was easy and fun. Restaurant breakfast is reasonable and included. Hotel pool is in a great location overlooking the beach. WiFi was very intermittent and TV channels poor and almost zero picture quality.
Lovely location right on the beach Beach cottage was fine, room cleaned each day, aircon worked Food wise breakfast fine,bar/restaurant was ok for snacks, place next door to it was cheaper but plenty food places 5 mins away Swimming was small but perfect only downside it fills up with Russian kids who aren’t staying at the hotel,so if you want a sun lounger get one by 1030 before the non guests take them Definitely would use again
Peaceful little cottage right on beautiful beach”
All you need without fancy bells and whistles can be found at this little gem. Cottages are basic and old but clean and has everything you need, including a nice little infinity pool overlooking the ocean which is a few steps away. The restaurant serves excellent food at reasonable prices and serves happy hour cocktails every day between 1-4pm, they are really yummy. Location is excellent as it us away from the hustle and bustle from Chaweng but still close enough to get there within 10 minutes. This is a very nice swimming beach as well and there are nice little restaurants and massage shops all around. Really good value for money.
This place is so worth the money. If you are looking for a lovely beach, nice pool and friendly and helpful staff, this is the perfect hotel. We had an amazing time on choeng mon beach (we also stayed at Chaweng but the Choeng mon beach outclasses Chaweng). This place is so worth what we payed for it, we have been traveling Thailand for a month and this is definitely one of the places where we have gotten most value for the money we paid. Highly recommend! Four backpackers
A Peaceful Retreat”
Nice location on the beach, , easy going staff, generous breakfast, lovely pool with swim up bar, room 15 & 16 have the best view of beach pool and restaurant. Great massages all along the beach. White fine soft sand and crystal clear shallow water...excellent for kids. Be aware of jetskis and stay in the area they ask you to stay in. If you go elsewhere there are rocks far under the sea but they'll charge you big time and say you've scratched the bottom of them. We saw this scam happen and couldn't believe it was happening in lovely peaceful Cheongmon! Small street behind beachfront with great restaurants and a few 5* hotels set up romantic dining on the beach thats not too expensive. Take taxi up to Thongson Bay, 10 mins away where there's a small petty bay with deeper turquoise water and 2 resorts with a nice Thai bar/restaurant. Make sure you book taxi both ways as no taxis are staying there.
Great little place”
This was our second stay at Honey Cottages and it's grown a lot over the years! The room was fine, clean and pretty quiet. The pool, restaurant and beach area were all lovely and the breakfast good. Some of the staff seemed a bit tentative and some didn't speak much English but I think that's been recognised and is being addressed. Not a huge problem though. Just an observation, the beach seemed to have lost its atmosphere in the evenings - no deck chairs and fewer beach bars/restaurants compared to our last visit. Where does everyone disappear to?!
Lovely beach oasis, relaxing.”
On our arrival we were offered a room that was not a deluxe garden view bungalow, even though that is what we booked! We were eventually offered a bungalow that didn't have a view but was nice enough and near to the beach. The room was clean and had a kettle, fridge, hairdryer etc and a big bathroom. The mattress was old and really in need of changing. The staff in the breakfast restaurant were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. The front desk staff were less helpful and not so polite. The beach was lovely , this place is at the quiet end and it really is a beautiful spot. There are massage salas on the beach, but no loud music or too many beach sellers. It had a good atmosphere and the resort had plenty of loungers on he beach, but not so many to spoil the view. Would stay there again for the beach.
Lovely little cottages set in a lovely garden.”
loved our stay at honey cottages for 1 month. cottages and pub a few steps from the lovely serene choengmon beach. fantastic little restaurants right on the waters edgeand in the little town to chooise from every night. breakfast is in honey restaurant a little walk to the right of the hotel but right on the beach. have a lot to choose from for breakfast from fruit to all eggs, bacon and thai food etc. lovely rim flow pool right on the beach. staff friendly. thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and will go back.
Nice Hotel on the beach”
On the beach with a good bar overlooking the water although a bit pricey by Thai standards. Staff were good. A bit of a dark walk at night to the main area of Cheong Mon Beach, but it is much safer than overseas standards. It is closer if you walk via the beach. It as a beautiful romantic spot, much quieter than Chewang Beach, which would be fine if you are looking for the night life and a crowded but rocking beach. In Cheong mon beach, look for the Cocktail King Bar, cheap cocktails & lovely staff, the restaurants across the Rd are excellent as well. A thoroughly good stay unless you are looking for rocking good times.
Old and not friendly but good location on the beach”
The location is great on the beach but It's very disappointing that nobody is friendly in this hotel...the hotel is old and need some serious renovation, bed linen and towels had holes in it, curtains were dirty...hot water was a problem...
Great simple accommodations. Good value. Beautiful beach. Nice staff at bar and restaurant. ”
Clean and pretty pool next to the beach. Love the koi ponds throughout the property.
Lovely cottages in a peaceful location ”
Our cottage was spacious and clean and had all the amenities that we needed. The bed was also very comfortable. The pool area is lovely and is right on the beach. Overall it was a very peaceful location, but there were still many restaurants and shops nearby. It was also very easy to book taxis and car hire through the staff.
Old hotel old room”
I booked this hotel for my colleagues for their business trip. The actual hotel price is actually about RM200 but I booked this hotel via agoda, it charge me almost RM350 per room. However this hotel is old and room is not that great as per review. During the period of stay, there were raining non stop and the whole hotel black off at the middle of night so they total can't sleep. Not recommended for anyone who came here for business trip and my colleagues said there are many more better hotel nearby.
Relaxing beautiful place”
This place is a little far away from most sites you may want to see. Highly recommend having a motorbike to venture out on. But the benefits of being out of the way are great. It is very quiet and so relaxing here. The resort offers a free breakfast (eggs, meat, toast, coffee, orange juice, etc.). They have several kayaks you can take out for free. The beach is quiet, soft sand, and the water is shallow quite a ways out so it is great if you have some little ones that like to explore. The pool is nice and clean. They have several small fish ponds around with fish that follow you around looking for food. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to relax, and especially if you have smaller children. Will definitely go back again.
Idyllic little beachfront hotel”
This is my second jaunt to Samui Honey Cottages. I returned because I love the smaller size of the place; this is not bustling resort but a quiet beachfront location with friendly staff, proximity to good restaurants, a slower pace, an infinity pool, great price, and simple comforts like air conditioning and clean linen without any over the top fuss. I love the garden villas even if they are showing their age because the villas are simple, comfortable and right on the beach. The day after I arrived I encountered two heinous guests yelling at staff and demanding they should get a garden villa because they asked for one on Agoda, but an Agoda booking does not ensure a garden villa (something to keep in mind and something that can cause confusion), however an Agoda booking usually nabs you a refurbished poolside room which is much fancier than the garden villas. I really love this quiet little spot and it is perfect if you are seeking relaxation away from the crowds.
Friendly and helpful staff. Nice clean room- serviced everyday. Good spot right by the beach a beach which is not too busy- but has restaurants. Saff able to book ferrys and trips. I would definitely stay again. Great massage place too.
Our stay at Honey”
The two weeks my husband and I stayed at Honey Cottages were two of the best weeks we've had on holiday anywhere we've been in the world. We've stayed in plenty of 3 - 5 star hotels and this one would have to take the prize for being the best. The location was quiet yet bustling (even in low season); the staff were welcoming and extremely helpful, the proximity of our cottage to the beach was brilliant (20 metres) and the options for eating out were awesome. Being so close to Choeng Mon village gave us plenty of shopping options in a village atmosphere and the opportunity to get to know some locals. An absolutely brilliant time was has and we'd be back there in a hearbeat!! We certainly intend to return as soon as we possibly can.
Lovely hotel with great location”
this is the most remerkable beach view i ever seen in thailand. the hotel is located with choenmong beach where travellers may enjoy unbelievable natural beauty at the beach at the time of sun rise & sun set. there are many beach restaurants with delicious food to attract the tourist to feel the great atmosphere.
idyllic, pardise just like a bounty commercial”
I loved this hotel fantastic value for money. It has everything you need. The restaurant is at an ideal point on the beach that overlooks another island beautiful! The staff are fantastic so helpful and wanted to do everything for you. It's a great place if you want to be spoilt for your holiday. The rooms have everything you need in them not that you'll want to spend much time there as the beach is right there. Its not in a busy touristy place so it was quiet when we went and it's very close to the airport they have there own transfer car but you would have to call the hotel direct to book this.
the hotel is very neat and tidy, ideally situated right on the beach with amazing views and great food. the highlight is the staff who are more than eager to please and nothing is too much - including meeting the owner who welcomes guests by telling you "this is your home from home".
