Find hotels near San Juan in Siquijor Island, Philippines

We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed the stay. Resort is huge with wonderful path through gardens and palm trees and great swimming pools. Snorkeling in the marine sanctuary was also nice, but count with small jelyfish during the low tide. It's better to take free of charge kayak and dive from the plaform. You don't have to go outside to take a nice walk to the restaurant and bars. I was very surprised that prices inside where the same or lower than outside the resort. I haven't had a cheaper san miguel beer during the whole stay in Philippines.:-) If there is a bbq dinner at Sunset restaurant you have to go there. Tuna steak was simply amazing and you get the best service ever with beach fire performance etc. We had the 4th flour room in CasaCoco which has the superb view over the sea. Hotel staff was super nice. The only cons where lack of wifi in the room and very used (often crashed) bikes for higher price. They should renew them.

White Villas is a unique and special property. It's well located in San Juan, within a short drive of Siquijor and "downtown" San Juan. The beach is superb for walking, day or night. The grounds are clean and modern (though unpaved), and the bungalows are newly constructed and comfortable. The restaurant serves very good food at reasonable prices. The bar is good if you're not too demanding, but there are others nearby if you are. On balance, this is a lovely place to stay for a few days, or even to use as your home base for a week or two.

I rarely leave reviews unless I have an exceptional stay, and this was a real treat. We were looking for as private and non-touristy a place as possible, basically the opposite of Boracay, and we arrived at this lovely resort that we had all to ourselves for a few days. We had planned touring the island but for the first two days just stayed in the resort and swam / snorkeled in the marine sanctuary below. The owners are very nice, helpful, environmentally conscious and are very thoughtful and detail oriented when it comes to customer service. The staff are very attentive and sweet. There is a nice pool and lounge chairs overlooking a cliff and the marine sanctuary below. To tour the island, we rented motor bikes. Sometimes I book 5 star resorts and am disappointed. This was one time I booked a 3 star resort and got a lot more than I bargained for. If I had to pick one downside, it would be that there is no beach. But having a marine sanctuary right in front makes up for that.

The location is great - San Juan got the nicest view of sunset in Siquijor. It is still a distance from Paliton Beach (2.5 km) but can just rent a motorbike to roam around or ask a multicab to bring you there. Paliton Beach is one of the best beaches in the island (aside from Salagdoong). It is in a secluded area. The hotel room is really huge (even the bathroom) with a nice balcony or terrace. We requested for ground floor room. LCD TV is also big. There's long table to put your things. Basic toiletries. No beach towel, though. And not a place to dine. The internet connection is only available at the restobar, which opens at 7am so if your tour is early you are probably need to have breakfast in another resort (perhaps in Coco Groove). Because there's no internet inside the room. I used my phone data instead. This place got no power generator in case of power failure. It did happen when we were there (just a few minutes) but they said it's rare.

I stayed several days at the Gold View and found it a very chill place. Amazing facilities but I tend to be outside most of days myself. Scooter rental at correct price, the first one they gave me broke down on the road so left it at another resort who contacted them and good service it was replaced on my return from Apo island day trip. Staff is very welcoming and lovely. Breakfast was top notch. Room was clean and spacious, shower worked well. No real downside except a little further away from San Juan and its restaurants compared to other resorts perhaps but I am being picky here. That said you can book it with full confidence and a fantastic stay at Gold View!! Thanks to all the staff 🙏😃 Olivier

This resort is a bit isolated from the others like Coco Grove, not that it is far but it is located in a place where there is no other resort (but still along the San Juan beach) and a few neighbor houses. The place is very quiet, an aspect that we liked very much. The staff is very friendly and helpful (they deserve 5 stars as well), they rent motors and will call neighboring tricycles for you (you still need to negociate the price with the driver). While it is isolated, you can still access nearby falls, and San Juan, the nearest village, is 15 mins away (there are bars, restaurants, diving center, etc.). The restaurant on place provide great food and drinks (though a bit expensive), the wifi is working, the beach is there (2 bungallows are available directly on the beach), it is nice and quiet, and you even have a fishermen village besides, which provide a bit of interesting animation at times! If you like peaceful and quiet place to stay, I can only recommend you this resort!

According to the staff and our tour guide the months of June-November are the non-recommended months to visit San Juan. The reason for that is, the beach isn't pristine. There were a lot of seaweeds and the waves are too strong. So, they said that during these months, you have to book your hotel in Siquijor, Siquijor. Now, from December-May, you can surely book the resorts in San Juan. As for the resort itself, the room is okay and the pool is okay too. They serve American breakfast but if you want to request for them to cook you something else, they can do it too. We requested to have fried rice and dried fish on our second day. We gave them money to buy the ingredients and just gave them extra for their effort. The staff are really lovely and I would stay here again and make sure it's not between June and November.

This accommodation a in the best location in San juan, very close to restaurants, street food area and some Bars. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are big, clean and in a nice garden with swimmigpool. You have a nice sea view from the balcony and also In and around the Pool. The poolbar is great as well. Real coffee available (try the homemade icecoffee) All in all highly recommended.

Very nice hotel, in a very picturesque cove. There is entrance going straight in the lagoon with crystal clear water and with excellent snorkeling and swimming. There was a bit problem with checking in - the hotel was under renovation and they didn't expect any guests from Agoda (I have booked long in advance), but all was sorted out. The rooms are very new and fresh, almost like in 4* hotels in Manila. The only issue - it's quite far from main area of San Juan restaurant and dive shops. You must rent a bike and able to drive it. If you comfortable with riding a bike - that's the best hotel that can offer for solo traveler or couple.

This was one of the best locations we stayed in whilst we were in the Philippines. The rooms are basic but clean and are located next to a beautiful beach, the gardens are well maintained and the staff are helpful. There is also a good restaurant across the road. We tried to book an extra nights stay at The Bruce but it was fully booked, so we stayed next door at Coral Clay which was also lovely.

Bungalows are right in the beach. Only 3 rooms so it doesn't get too busy. The rooms are equipped with a kitchen however ours only had one pan with a broken handle. So we couldn't do too much. Wifi is shared with one router which kept on being moved around so sometimes we had a connection and sometimes we didn't. It's close to San Juan town and has quite a few restaurants and BBQ places close by.

Located in the tourist district of San Juan, amazingly the place is peaceful and quiet. They have fan rooms perfect for those beach getaway vibe as the accommodations are located a few steps from the beach. Tubod Beach and Marine Sanctuary are walkinh distance and it's a short tricycle ride to the public market for your provisions. The only improvement I would recommend are: if free breakfast can be included in the room rates, and wifi access within the rooms as wifi can only be used in the bar/reception. Overall, this is a perfect place for backpackers and travellers on a budget. The staff are nice and accommodating. I would book this hostel again if I will visit Siquijor again in the future. 😊

Cute guesthouse a little outside of San Juan (but amazing restaurants eg. monkey business, tomate&basil, luca loka close by). The bathroom is spacious and I never had to wait to use it. Only cold showers as per usual in the Philippines. Nice dorm but not too much space for the backpacks. The only negative thing is that I always had to ask for toilet paper and that the water refill costs 10pesos. Other than that, would totally stay there again. They also have peivate rooms and the garden is amazing!

we stayed here for 4 nights in one of the really nice bungalows. we were 3 persons, a extra bed is no problem. the dive equipment is brand new and we had a LOT of fun with the staff and the owner! if you need something they will definitley help you with bookings, transports and everything else. And the food was outstanding! thank you for one of the best stays so far :)

Finding this gem really made our Siquijor trip amazing. We had the upstairs unit (with only 1 other unit- downstairs) and were instantly surprised at how amazing the place was. Gorgeous beachfront location and a pretty yard and water views to look out onto from the balcony. The unit was very clean, plenty big enough for the 2 of us, with a dining area, kitchen, bathroom, queen bed and wardrobe. Lots of kitchen utensils to help with a cook up. San Juan has markets and only a 5 minute scooter ride away. Salgdon beach is gorgeous, but really not good for swimming. There is algae in spots and quite shallow even at high tide. Nonetheless I witnessed some of the most beautiful sunsets form this beach with the mountains of Dumaguete in the background. The manager was lovely and very easy going. Wifi is available in the reception area most of the time. It wasn't working a couple of times so the manager fixed it for us straight away. JJ's Backpackers is next door as is One Sunset View for some cheap food for when we didn't feel like cooking and also for a cheap beer and nice sunset spot. Scooter hire is either next door at J's or 2 minute walk to the left up the road for P350 per day. If we ever come back to Siquijor we will stay here! Can't recommend enough.

This is a quiet little hotel, of maybe 5-6 cottages? Located across the street from the waterfront. About a 4 minute walk to Baha Bar. That is the only thing you can walk to though...in Siquijor it would be preferable to have a scooter because there is no centralised area. This hotel is cute and quiet. It is not super ugly as that other reviewer wrote, but is decorated in a quaint Grandma-ish way, which is sort of home-y. Don't forget your flashlight for brownouts around the island and just general lack of street lights. You can really see the stars in Siquijor.

The hotel itself has a very high potential, it's pity that finishing work is not done yet, so we were enjoying the view with the mountain of cement in the middle of the garden. However the room is spacious and comfortable, but it didn't include the daily cleaning... so I would say overpriced for the non-service included. The owners should take out also all the ads mentioning the scooter rental price which seems not longer be the right price and their ads about diving activities which doesn't exist, it's really confusing for customers. And be advised Agoda customers, the lady owner seems to not appreciate to have Agoda guests, so just make sure that they don't invoice you for something that supposed to be included in the rooms price that you already paid. We didn't appreciate the fact that the invoice was in the middle of the others and they didn't even judge that we need to be informed... So nice hotel, nice place but still missing commercial gesture

This is one of the best hostels till yet. The owner was was very kind and helpful, the drinks in the room are really cheap and even to rent a scooter in this hostel is cheap. You almost can ask everything for help , where to go , wat to do and with the scooter , you can visit every point on this island. If you think to stay on this Island, please this hostel is the place to be.

A simple yet beautiful place to stay by the beach. It's literally few inches from the beach. The room is neat and simple with basic amenities like AC, heater , electric kettle, towels . The best thing is not inside but outside the room. You wud want to spend most of the time outside, such is the view from the place. There are many bars and small restaurants nearby. Walking distance to supermarkets and money exchange. They have their own bike rental and other packages. I would suggest you to stay here if you aren't looking for some grand resort like ambience.
