    Relax”

    Location, Room standards, food
lack of internet in rooms and then heavy pricing to use net in cafe

We enjoyed our stay at San Remigio beach club. This is not a place to come to party all night. Its a relaxing resort by the sea which is well maintained and picturesque. There is a lot to do if you wish or you can just lie back and read a book. There are english classes for foreign students (mainly young Koreans) taking place within the resort, but these are non obtrusive and the only time you see the crowds of students is at meal breaks. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but i think are not quite up to the standard expected for the price. e.g. there is no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms nor is there wireless internet. For a 4-5 star resort this is below par. Certainly other hotels in Cebu which charge far less have these facilities. I did find that there was wireless net in the cafe but at a cost of 200 pesos an hour.......not much by western standards but remember you are paying top dollar to stay!! Overall though a very relaxing and peaceful part of the world and if you want to relax, swim and take in the tropical breezes this is a great place to stay.

    Lovely place,great hideaway....”

Staff working there are great- friendly and courteous ......

Three star-with five star prices...my dislike was the servivice charges on everything( supposed to be the staffs tip but management kept it- so in my mind the management steals their extra hard earned cash) other than that its a nice hideaway...beach isn't that good...the other amenities are good......

    Secluded and quiet
No store or shopping near by

This Resort is long way from Cebu city. You need to have complete toiletries because if you run-out you will pay triple the amount of the item. No complimentary bottled water but they have complimentary wine and fruit basket on our arrival. The staff are all very friendly and helpful specially Vicenta from Cafe Gloria. She made our stays very special.

Alot of Mosquitoes and disappointed on the accomodation”

I am so disappointed with our stay in the San Remigio Beach Resort last week 25th- 26th June 2016 due to the following issues. First, When we reach the reception area "Mosquitoes" are so visible and very scary as I can feel our health is at risk in this area. It is not excuse the since the place is far away and located near some forest then it is natural to have some mosquitoes. There are already so many ways and can use strong chemicals that can kill these mosquitoes. Health is the number one you should consider for guess to enjoy our stay. If some of my family members will get sick of dengue I will you responsible on it. Second: When we reach the place and go to the receptionist I informed that I have booking under my name. But unfortunately they are not able to find my booking. So what I did I need to dig out my email just to see my booking reference number. It is not convinient for guess to do all these thing, we are in 20th century today by right you should be sync with online booking systems like Agoda.com. She try calling someone over the phone to check our booking under my reservation but still can not find. How is it possible? And also, you got internet and computer in the reception but its too difficult for the receptionist to help solve this booking problem. We get stuck in the reception for almost 1 hr just to get the room. The only booking that was fast retrieve is the one I book / reserve manually over the phone and which is the "Dormitory Room" Third: Now after the booking is settled, we proceed now to our rooms. (dormitory room and deluxe room) When we go inside the dormitory room, the mosquitoes welcome us. Same with the deluxe room. All rooms are full of mosquitoes. - dormitory room 1. The basic need like rag for feet is not provided, No kettle , no drinking container ,no glass , the floor is dirty. Looks like they never prepare the room for guess to come. At least the basic things should be there. 2. The aircon is not sufficien

    Above average”

The deluxe room was very outdated and a bit dirty. We had to request towels, soap and even bath tissue. The website photos fail to inform you that when the tide is out the ocean is only accessible by walking through the mud and that the sandy beach only exists because the sand is imported one sand bag at a time. The pool was nice and for the most part kept clean. I would recommend that the management direct someone to pick up the trash along the beach and in small piles around the resort.

Dusty room, facilities past their prime”

My 8yo has dust allergies and kept sneezing and coughing on his bed. Food tasted great and staff were very friendly. Beach was filled with trash. There's a portion of the beach that was cemented off into what might have been a saltwater pool back in its heyday but is now smelly and abandoned with some stagnant water in its corners. Pool was good, with some parts shallow enough for both small and big kids. There was even a portion where we could sit our one-year-old as she enjoyed the water around her.

    Resort is just okay”

The location of the resort is quite far and there aren't any restaurants nearby. The in-house restaurant is okay though but a little pricey. The facilities are okay but need upgrading. The Game Room looks a bit rundown and the pool sticks need replacement. The beach is not very inviting but at least the pool is big enough. My only concern is that the place has a lot of mosquitoes. When going inside your room, you need to be quick enough in closing the doors otherwise, mosquitoes will get into your room. In the parking area, there are a lot of mosquitoes especially during late afternoon.

    Off season? A dump....”

    food, pool, weather

The place was over priced even with Agoda discount. It was off season so my GF and I were the only people there mid-week. There was NOTHING to do but sit by the pool or beach. Food was good, San Miguel beer is always good. Staff was friendly and did the best they could. There is a pack of dogs that roams the place at night and leaves 'landmines'. These are not cleaned up. Several of them looked like they had been there a while. It was a comfortable stay but I'm not going back there.

San Remigio Beach Resort - Not that I wanted to go”

The San Remigio Beach Resort has a pleasant location right on the beach. The restaurant offered good food but expensive compared to Cebu Island in general. The best feature is the swimming pool which is the only free activity at the resort. The staff are very pleasant and helpful.
The standard of the room we booked was poor, no internet, no cable tv, no facilities to make tea/coffee and no hot water in the shower.

On arrival we were shown a room that completely lacked the facilities we expected (no internet, cable tv or even hot water to shower with) and were told that these were only available in a superior room at an additional cost of P2000 per night. Except they weren't as the cable wasn't working and the internet was new and not properly installed. Not a great start. The resort was totally empty with just one other couple staying the night, and they left the next morning. As a result there was no atmosphere to enjoy. Unfortunately the weather was poor, with rain falling all the time making the enjoyment of the beach and swimming pool impossible. All in all it was not a pleasant experience and not something I would recommend to any of my friends.

Overall very poor! Condition is poor.. from room to service. Room- the cabinet was dilapidated and smelled bad with a lot of small trash inside.. Room aircon a bit loud. Cleanliness- was ok.. Pool- baby pool was very dirty and smelled kaki.. and the other side of the pool there was a lot of garbage they dumped the garbage there.. tables nd chairs around the pool are not clean and they served your food without cleaning the table, its obviously that the staff are lack of training. Restaurant staff- are not accomodating! Buffet breakfast-not a lot of choices, its only egg,ham and sausage. Terrible experience during breakfast.. no more food in buffet when we arrived, i keep asking if they are still have this nd that.. Serving of food (menu card) took very long, it is not good if you are in hurry! Front Desk- I hated the most! Our first time to checked-in there, i am not aware about their gate pass during checking-out, as i settle my bill for checking out front desk didnot gave me

we asked for a non-smoking room but cigarette buts are all over our front porch. there are cockroaches inside the room. a useless broken TV in the room that is i think 20 years old already. the aircon is so noisy and too small for the room. the bathroom heater does not work. I wonder why they call it a beach club. The beach is not nice and the swimming pool has a lot of green algae. the gardens are dirty and not maintained. Our room is so pricy at 4,000 net of a lot of "promos" for this place. the only good thing here is their restaurant. The restaurant is so hot because it has no air conditioning but the food is surprisingly good

There is nothing to do here, the beach is horrible for swimming and the purported activities are non existent. The web site misleads you totally about what is really available. The rooms are old, very poorly lit, and marginally clean. However, the meals were fairly good if they had the ingredients on stock and that is a BIG IF

Live band should limit guests from singing. I was hoping for good music but band lead vocalist keep on inviting guests to perform. Mosts guests are drunk and sang very badly. Not pleasant to ears and sounds like in KTV bar, we ended up going to our rooms very early (left 9pm and show was supposed to be until 11pm).
