    Amazing! Stunning! Chillaxing!”

Amazing companies! Stunning view! Chillaxing atmosphere!

I stayed in Sanctuaria Treehouses for 1 night with my friends after our sailing expedition. Brian the owner was very helpful, funny & chatty, very chatty! He arranged pickup for us from Coron Town & we arrived quite late that night, after we settled down, our BBQ dinner was ready, thumbs up. We played card game after dinner at the game room/dining room/library, we all had fun & lots of laugher, clearly Brian won as I bet he played the game for 1000 times already. I stayed at the Teepee which was newly finished last year, my friends were stayed at the Ocean & Mangrove View Treehouses. All are unique, basic facilities with comfortable bed, mosquito nets & power etc. Considering it’s in the middle of a jungle, they’re "luxury" to me as well as the shower room & toilets with flushing water! The location is perfect, 45 mins away from Coron town surrounding by nature overlooking the Busuanga Bay. The mangrove bush below was spectacular, a millions stars in the sky at night, stunning! You can walk to the nearby waterfalls, kayaking in the mangroves or just sit outside starring at the sea or whatever you fancy to do, Brian & his staff are happy to assist in organizing. I didn't have a chance to see the sunset & thousands bats flying in sky, hopefully I can come back soon! Food was awesome, I’ve ordered something off the menu for breakfast & they make it happened, the juices was good too! Prices are affordable & they’ve free Wi-Fi! Comfortable bed, great view, great companies, cold beers, rum & coke, juices, music (from Brian's phone), good food, sunshine, free Wi-Fi, shower, flushing toilet, sea breeze, what's else would you ask for? If you prefer a cozy atmosphere, great companies, have an adventure mind & don't mind to live with basic needs for a while, you will definitely finds the beauty in this place!

    Amazing stay”

We had a wonderful stay at Sanctuaria Treehouse. We came for a hidden getaway for a couple of nights and didn't know exactly what we will find at Sanctuaria Treehouse... and it was just brilliant. We stayed the first night in the Mangrove Treehouse, which was making us already really happy with a great view on the Mangroves and little balcony opened on the bedroom. But we stayed the second night in the Ocean View Treehouse and we must admit that this was even more amazing. The balcony facing the ocean is great and you can get some cushion and beer just to sit there and see the sun going down. Beautiful! We did one Island Escapade to Black Island which surprise us by the fact there was absolutely no tourist, reef was well protected (so perfect for snorkelling!) and landscapes just breathtaking. A must do! We also walked the morning after to Conception Waterfall with Santu the dog, 20mns walk and a good place for refreshing water. Food was very good, ++ for the freshly caught fish and Bryan and his staff are very kind, funny and helpful with everything! Thank you so much Bryan!! I highly recommend this place

awesome place and staff were fab! ”

Beautiful scenery, friendly staff and food was great!

Sanctuaria treehouse is about 1.45 hrs drive in a tricycle and cost us 1200php (about £18 for 2 ppl) this was organise by the treehouse. Another option was to go to Coron town (share a van with other ppl who works out at 150php each and then get either the last bus (2pm) 50php or get a tricycle for about 500-700php from Coron town to the treehouse. I would recommend to save money is to hire a moped at Coron town as the treehouse is literally out in the sticks. We spent 4 nights at the treehouse and Brian (American owner) sorted out a boat for us to go island hopping. Please note it gets cheaper if you share with other guests. Please note there's entrance fee on each of the islands. We went to calambuyan (150php per person), black island ( also 150 and highly recommend) and pas which was 200php. Be aware if you got to pas island if you sit at any table they'll charge you without warning. We went diving with Luke Williams. It was originally with Simon but he couldn't make it. He's British but can also speak Tagalog which was very impressive and was very helpful. He took us to the Japanese shipwreck and corals. Probs the highlight of our holiday. If you were to stay at the treehouse, ocean view has the best view and more room (from what I gathered from other guests) Met some awesome people and Brian's staffs (all the girls were super friendly! Especially Jane) Love Buhay (famous dog who walked us to the bus stop on our last day, waited for us and then walked home on his own) Apparently he can be temperamental but we must've have been lucky as he kept licking my leg and slept outside our porch) Also loved Jon Bon cute tiny pup! Thanks again Sanctuaria treehouse it's been great! Next time we're back will def come and stay again :D (look forward to seeing Brian's cinema pad) ;)

    Rustic charm!”

Great staff, secluded location, beautiful views

Fab stay at the Sanctuaria treehouses. It's in a fairly out of the way spot on busuanga island, but in a great location to go diving from. Brian the owner was really helpful in organising trips etc. The accommodation is basic (more like "glamping" than a hotel). There's still work to do in building - basic showers just started working otherwise, it's just a bucket wash. We LOVED this aspect of the place. It has charm and character and means that lots of like minded people come here. The view is beautiful, the food is good and the girls who work there are super friendly. I thought it was great value - only sad we had to leave before they we're having a party with a whole pig :)

    A fantastic sanctuary”

    Location, people, architecture

The Sanctuaria Treehouses were a delight. The staff (Machiko, Rosemarie, and Grace) were very supportive and helpful, and Brian (the owner) bent over backwards to make sure our group had a good time. We loved island hopping (our group was divided in favorites - some loved Black Island with the caving, snorkeling, and wildlife) while others preferred Calimbuyan, because of the laid-back vibe, plentiful hammocks, and the awesome caretaker, Chris. You are staying in treehouses (or a teepee, and soon a hobbit hole!) so the amenities aren't five star. Yes, you may be taking a couple bucket showers. But as one member of our party put it, by the end of the day you'll have had so much fun and be so exhausted, that that bucket shower may be the best shower you've ever taken. All in all, we enjoyed our stay so much we extended our trip by a couple days, and are really grateful to have gotten to meet so many awesome people. Our biggest disappointment: arriving before the hobbit hole was finished.

    Memorable Trip - Ever”

    Owner, View, Outdoor Experience

My husband and I wanted to be far from the town but at the same time near the sea, and also have that outdoors/camping yet more comfortable than camping feeling. Sanctuaria Treehouses fits that description. We had a great time talking with the owner (Brian rocks and is very informative), some of the other guests, and his friends who occasionally stop by at Sanctuaria (Simon has a diving shop - we're definitely going to try discovery scuba when we visit Palawan again)! Overall, I'd rate our experience 4.5 :)

    Fantastic stay at treehouses”

Sanctuaria treehouses was our first stop after 24 hours of travelling from Ireland and one night in Manila. It was the perfect place to recharge our batteries and get a real taste of The Philippines "paradise" we had read about. Off the beaten track from the busy Coron town this is exactly what we were looking for. Amazing views looking over the mangroves and other island from our treehouse! The staff couldn't do enough for you! The food was delicious and they kindly prepare lunch for you if you are headed off on a day trip. The highlight for sure was Buhay the dog bringing us to the near by waterfall and acting as a tour guide! Brian the owner is always around and offered us a wealth of knowledge of the island and gave advise on all other islands for our trip. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique stay on Coron island! Thank you Brian and staff :)

    Great time in Sanctuaria Treehouses”

The views, the people who run it and the peace

We had a wonderful time in Sanctuaria. The place is beautiful, with an amazing view from the bay, the jungles, the mangrooves and the stars. If you are looking for a place to relax, fell the authentic energy of Filipinas, and also be close to the wrecks and to some other features of Coron, that is the place. a fantástic guy that's probably running one of the best places in Coron. Of course you must be used to some adventure...maybe one day you don`t hace running water, or something you wish to eat, but is part of understanding the place where you are: far from Coron town, in the midle of the jungle where things sometimes are not so easy as in your country. Kaykak is available for free, the bungalows and the tepee are beautiful, food is done with love as, the chef is always taking care of the guests. Also, in the area you can meet beautiful people that will make your stay in Sagrada an unforgetable hollyday. You can rent a motorbike, dive, drink a beer in Al Faro or just hang out. Is posible to do Island Hopping from there even to Kayangan and other spots near Coron Town. By the way....is cheap to get in publuc transport from Coron, you just have to know that buses are runnin from Coron to Sanctuaria from 10 am to 1 pm. Anyway.....if I go back to Busuanga that will be my home again. Thanks....we really enjoy the time. Take care and happy 2015. All the best

    A Beautiful Escape”

Incredible and unique experience, wonderful service, surrounded by peace and beauty

Sanctuaria is like nothing I have seen before. The place has been lovingly crafted by hand and this creates a sense of place that is authentically unique. It is its own little world with a view over the trees towards the bays of Coron. The people that looked after us were incredibly helpful and really made us feel welcome and at home. If there was anything we needed they were able to find a way to help us. For example, when my motorcycle broke down they made a few phone calls and in minutes I had someone helping me out on the side of the road. Sanctuaria is well off the beaten path and is about an hour from the town. Although you can easily organise many tours from the treehouses (it has its own pier and dedicated tour guide who visits regularly), we stayed at a hotel closer to town for the first few days to do all our tours and diving around Coron Island and then spent the last few days at Sanctuaria relaxing amongst the trees, it was a perfect combination. Be sure to plan agead as travel to Sanctuaria is expensive by van and it can be difficult to find a driver at short notice as it is well away from normal tourist routes. Also, load up on cash before hand to save a trip all the way to town just to use the ATM. If you ask the people looking after you, you may be able to rent a motorcycle and have it waiting for you at the entrance of Sanctuaria. We found this perfect for day trips. To stay at Sanctuaria is to camp luxuriously under the stars and amongst the trees. It is not a conventional hotel, it is a chance to escape modernity and experience a different way of living. You will need a mind open to new experiences and a small amount of patience to deal with the minor inconveniences (insects, blackouts, one shower, walking from your treehouse to the bathroom in the rain, etc) but it is well worth it. What you get is an experience that is beautiful and authentic in a place that gives you time and space to breathe, reflect and be at peace

    Quirky, Peaceful, Stunning Views”

    view, food, solitude.

Sanctuaria is a little far out from the town. It being away from town is actually part of the appeal, for me. I wanted a bit of solitude before hitting the touristy town of Coron and I had it here. I booked a treehouse with a mangrove view but was upgraded to an ocean view treehouse when the other guests failed to show due to a cancelled flight as the weather is unpredictable during this time of the year. The view from my balcony was stunning. I don't know how long I stood there looking out into the ocean and mangrove forest watching the sunset. I had fresh salad and fish for dinner. Brian, the owner, told me that it came from a nearby organic farm, which is great! Oh, is your birthday today or tomorrow? How is the lechon coming along? Good luck on feeding the whole town.. Ha ha. And Happy Birthday! P.S. How about a covered pathway from the treehouse to the Comfort rooms? Just so the guests don't get wet when its raining and they had to use the CR.

The staff, the view, and activity arrangements

Our stay in Sanctuaria Treehouses was awesome! The staff was amazing especially Michiko the manager and Brian the owner who arranged our island hopping trip for us as well as our transportation to our ferry ride in Coron town. It's a very quaint and unique place with an awesome view and wifi! This was our first stop on our 3 week Philippines trip and we couldn't have planned for a better start. We enjoyed this secluded sanctuary, far from the busy city of Coron town. I would definitely come back and stay here again!

I booked this place for my last night in Palawan because of the pictures, which all look peaceful. The first time I went to Sanctuaria was not really for my last night stay but for a party where I met great people (like Brian, the owner). A couple of days later, I was back again, this time for my last night. It was the complete opposite of my first experience. As I was the only one staying at the place, I could only tell you guys that it was a wonderful, wonderdul, serene experiene. If you want to party go here, if you're looking for some alone time coupled with soul searching moments, go here. :)

Kudos to the owner and the staff very accomodating, the staff are always smiling , we loved "buhay the dog", they always attend to our needs and request specially that were a group of 12. The place is very cozy, i like that the hobbit house already have aircondition, and wish that they'd be able to make the other 2 rooms better (maybe with aircondition) so that it would already be perfect already, and a little renovation since the other 2 rooms are actually a little bit rusty already i think its because of the storm, i love the common area or game room, i love their bar, the dining area everything is just so perfect, its very suitable for nature lovers for people who really want yo escape the city life, we werent able to see the sunset tho, but i know for sure that its very stunning. Recommended for soul searching! Goodjob sanctuaria ! Will def go back there if given a chance

Sanctuaria Treehouses is in a truly beautiful location. You don't come here for luxury which was fine with us. The rooms are basic and clean but expect company (I.e geckos, mosquitos) as there are gaps in the walls and door frames etc (there was a mosquito net in our room). The team of staff hired by the owner Brian are lovely. It didn't bother me as it is an ideal location to 'switch off' but WIFI was patchy at best and non-existent the majority of the time. Lastly, it looks like maintenance around the property has slipped. Some of the outdoor seating is unusable with broken bits or nails protruding, the grounds appear neglected and on our last day it rained with several leaks appearing in our room (Ocean View Treehouse). Would we go back? I don't know because there were definite pros and cons.

We had a very relaxing time here. We stayed in the new treehouse which has such an amazing view, its quiet which we really enjoyed after staying only in the busy places in palawan before. The owners are really nice and all staf very helpfull. Would definitely recommend this place!!!

    Excellent”

In the midst of nature, a very idyllic place with a stunning view from our terrace, we could enjoy it from our hammocks, during the daily rain and a few taifuns we had a relaxing time in the treehouse, that's made from bamboo and other woods. There's also a cozy pool, they have a few cute cats, that they should feed a little better and a grim watch dog. In the evening colorful lamps are being lit, but by just adding a few more colorful lights in the garden and the surrounding nature, they could turn the whole place really into a magical dreamland at night, that it already looks like a little even with this minimalistic light show. The stuff was always very friendly and served us breakfast and dinner at our terrace. We don't know, how hot it can get in the hot season, but fan cooling was sufficient as long as it didn't get too hot. They have air con, but not in the treehouses. Thanks to everyone for your friendship, we'd definitely come back, if we could have a room with air con

    Gorgeous getaway”

The peace and quiet, the friendly staff and the delicious food.

We spent 4 nights at Sanctuaria and it was exactly what we were looking for. A few days of relaxation and reading and a few days of exploring the local islands. Brian was a great host, he helped us arrange our activities and had heaps of suggestions and advice and was just as happy to let us soak up some sun, drink rum and cokes and sleep the day away. The food was fantastic, the hardest parts of the day was definitely choosing what to eat.
