My favourite in Laos ”
My favourite hotel I stayed at in Laos. We booked at first for two nights and knew we would extend our stay once we saw the hotel. First note that this is not in the city, it’s about a 20 minute drive, we got the bus from Vientiane to drop us off on the way or the hotel offers shuttles from Vang Vieng. This is a place to go and just relax and unwind. The staff is super helpful and accommodating but not pushy with anything. There are activities you can book, boats to rent, and bikes to borrow or you can do what we did, just relax and enjoy the beautiful room and view. The hotel and well maintained and clean and comfortable. If you get chance book this hotel, I was so impressed and want to go back.

This is the 2nd time I have been here. Made a point to go out of my way to come back. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay the best possible. The pool is one of a kind and can't be ripped. The location, lake, scenery is second to none. The rooms are SUPER nice and comfortable. Already missed this resort just after I left and went to the airport. For me, the resort is right in the middle of my company's bus trip from the worksite and Vientiane that makes it more convenient. Other than that, the place is nice and peaceful added with a very creative set of a swimming pool. The staffs are also friendly and very helpful even they need to go the market to find you bait for fishing. Extraordinary services.

Came here with my daughter's family which included small grand kids. They loved the nice, clean pool and paddle boarding on the lake. The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a couple meals at the restaurant.

A peaceful and tranquil getaway”
The service and help from management and staff at this resort was outstanding, we were really made to feel welcome here. The location is perfect for a quiet escape from the more touristy places in Laos. The resort was quiet when we arrived and the management arranged transport and a pickup for us. Rooms had a great view over the lake, would recommend the cruise with bbq lunch on the island - very tranquil. Restaurant is very good, big servings, left full every time. There are free bicycles if you want to head into town for supplies and a free shuttle into Vang Vieng in the mornings. Would definitely stay here again.

Romantic setting ”
This was a 5* facility but it being the low season, the lake was very low and there were only a couple of guests. Being alone, I felt very isolated. There were only a couple of shuttles into town so if I wanted to stay in town & have dinner l, it would have cost me $20 one way for a driver to come pick me up. 30 minutes outside of town felt too far for me. The place though is impeccable, the staff is incredible especially Duke, the general manager l. He went out of his way for me time and again & they are lucky to have him.

Great Resort to Relax ”
We are city couple and wanted a get away for a few days. This is the right place I had chosen. The room is along the lake and scenery is great! Clean and tidy rooms. Surroundings is less car and less people, unlike the place I came from, Singapore. I had a great time in this resort. Relax and quiet. The only minus point is the food is not that fantastic. I will come again next time.

Great scape from the buzz of Vang Vieng for 2 days rest”
The lake is actually a damp so it's not nice to swim but great to go on kaiking - though those could be free (are very expensive). The hotel is super nice for Lao average. Bathtub wouldn't fill up with hot water which was very annoying. Shower and bathroom are super nice though it doesn't have a "box" so it gets all wet but it dries quickly. The room is great though not with fancy details as you would expect on seeing website/price. Make sure you ask for a nicely located room - most of them are great just a few have balconies that can be seen very closely from the restaurant and pathwalk. Staff is great and helpful though can be confusing and slow when solving problems. It's all in USD not kips which makes it more expensive then anything else in Lao. Great price for wine by glass :) Good food!!!

Decent stay with an inconvenient location”
The reception staff and manager were very friendly and helpful. The location gives you a nice view, but there isn't much of anything nearby. It feels entirely isolated from Laos, which isn't great if you're trying to explore Vang Vieng. I'd say this is a good place if you're looking for a quiet, relaxed stay. The restaurant left a lot to be desired -- the staff was unenthused, the food wasn't worth its price (which is bad when it's your only option), the entirely outdoor setting makes you easy prey for mosquitoes the whole time you're sitting, and the cats that beg for your food during dinner is offputting. The resort also had a very surreal feeling, since we were the ONLY guests in the entire resort (at least we didn't see anyone else during the days+night that we were there) Overall it was an OK stay.

Silent and easy to stay ”
Sanctuary NamNgum was good place to enjoy water activity( kayaking, swimming small pool, )and stay silent bungalow. Hotel food was ok but not amazing . Grilled Fish was fresh and delicious . Garden was so nice but not that much big, then not enough for running. Hotel room was clean but unfortunately my room had garbage People had stayed before. I will recommend here if you need silence with small water activity and friendly food.
