Everything about this place was excellent!”
This hotel was a very tasteful restoration...everything down to the light switches was well thought out. The staff had a wonderful energy and sought to make my experience memorable. And the massage I had was the best I experienced in Asia!

Luxurious with fantastic staff”
Hotel is more pricey than the others around the area but considering the luxurious room and surroundings, I think I got a good deal. Top notch service, beautiful room and facilities and felt really pampered. Hotel sits right at the edge of Inle Lake so we got a fantastic view. Only downside is there is nothing interesting nearby, so just be prepared that you have to drive and cab to get around.

Perfect tranquil retreat. ”
this hotel is amazing. The finest causing. the finest of accommodations. the finest of staff. I could not ask for more pleasurable experience. We had three rooms reserved for four nights Feb 2018 . Downside no proper gymnasium however you can walk next-door to the Novotel.. I’m glad I decided on this property even after using the gym at the other property. I would definitely recommend it as a five-star resort. Plus there is no noise from the constant traffic. Traffic referring to boats. Obviously it is an amazing life style. Enjoy I highly recommend it, S BOGART

Inle Resort”
Perfectly located resort on inle Lake. Peaceful and stress free. Staff could not do enough particularly Mr. Yan Noung. Arrange a pick up from the airport to Resort via car and boat - amazing experience.

Exceptional ”
The hotel is gorgeous with a peaceful zen feeling. Relax by the pool gazing out past water inlets to misty green hills. The staff are dedicated and eager to deliver exceptional service. Facility is maintained spic and span. (One morning I noticed a staff person polishing the railings of the balcony over looking the courtyard.) Excellent cocktails in the bar. Meals were tasty. We adored this hotel.

Wow”
Inle lake is a must if you are visiting Myanmar and the Sanctum resort is the best and most beautiful place to stay. We had three nights and enjoyed a boat tour of the lake, a bicycle (complimentary) through town. While we ate at the resort restaurant we also found a little spot just a little drive away called the "Bamboo Hut" that had a great evening meal

Almost perfect!”
Lovely property with amazing staff that exudes warmth. We had a beautiful junior suite (provost) thAt overlooks the infinity pool. We booked a tour of Inle Lake leaving from their jetty. Just wonderful. The only glitch in our stay was the lack of hot water for showers. Highly annoying for the price charged. But assuming this was an anomaly, I would highly recommend staying here. The Operations manager was on top of the problem and hopefully it is resolved for future guests.

World Class”
Beautiful resort located set back from lake front. Rooms are huge and gorgeous, we had two connecting rooms 510 and 511 which is in the main building so close to pool and restaurant. Wonderful food and service, could not fault the staff - very attentive to every need. They have their own jetty and a boat tour of the lake can be organised easily. We used the spa and it was small but very relaxing and reasonably priced. Overalla very pleasant couple of days - I would definitely stay here again.

Bliss (but even better if ....)”
We booked this hotel as a 'splurge' to round off a two week holiday in Myanmar and to chill after a trek from Kalaw and it lived up to its luxurious billing. Great rooms, and service. As a family of four with older 'kids' our three night stay was just enough but if its trying to appeal to such family groups it would benefit from a tennis court, table tennis table, or better off road bikes etc to keep teenagers / those with more energy occupied. If you want peace, tranquility and a touch of luxury you will not do better than here.

Stunning hotel ”
This is the second time I stayed at the Sanctum. It has the best customer service of any high end hotel I have stayed or worked in Myanmar. The place is exceptionally clean and well finished. The staff are friendly and attentive. The hotel is also set on the shore of the stunning Inle Lake with a great view from the hotel or poolside.

Serene, tranquil, relaxing - a great resort”
By any standard, Sanctum Inle delivers an excellent experience from the meet, greet and transfer at the airport, the welcome on arrival and buggy transfer to the room and through the whole stay. A lot of thought has gone into the design of the resort which is only 2 years old. It exceeded our expectations, which are quite high. Our room was at the far end of the resort on the top floor with a balcony providing excellent views across the lake including great sunsets. The room was excellently appointed and spacious with good lighting which is often a weakness of hotel rooms. The food at breakfast and for evening meals was excellent - fresh, well presented and well cooked but the menu could be a bit restrictive for a longer stay. The infinity pool is a good size and great for relaxation. The highlight was undoubtedly the boat trip around the lake - we were circumspect abut floating markets thinking we had 'been there , done that' elsewhere in Asia. Inle Lake is different - we chose a half day tour and covered a lot of villages and crafts - silversmiths, cigar making, lotus weaving, boat making, umbrella making, as well as the inevitable monastery and pagoda. It was relaxing, there were no hard sells and the whole trip was memorable and a real pleasure.. Our boatman was excellent and took great care of us. You could probably find a cheaper boat trip from the nearby village but I am not confident that you would receive such an excellent experience - USD25 total, not per person, was brilliant value. If we had stayed longer we would likely have eaten more in the nearby village, where there are some good basic restaurants - e.g. the Inle Palace restaurant (bright green and yellow painted bamboo structure) halfway across the wooden bridge in the village. Overall, the staff were exceptionally attentive, friendly and helpful; the one exception was the GM of the Hotel who seemed disinclined to engage - which was surprising as the foundation for such a great se

Beautiful environment, kind service staff and cozy room. Only one thing can be improved if it could create more activities for guest like ball games, fishing or other facilities so that it would be more like a resort.

Perfectly Named”
I came to Inle Lake searching for some solitude. Sanctum provided this perfectly. I truly didn't want to leave. The breakfast was delicious! The service was above and beyond! The room was wonderful! The grounds were lovely to explore! The staff were amenable to an (extremely) early check in and cared about my wellbeing far beyond the norm. Truly a wonderful experience. Acknowledging the cost, I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to treat themselves. It was perfect.

Excellent peaceful hotel”
We stayed here for 2 nights and it was one of the nicest hotels we've ever stayed in! Lovely clean large rooms with their own balcony, beautiful pool and decking area to watch the sun set on the lake and lovely facilities and gardens. We meant to venture into the town for meals but the food and setting of the hotel was too good to actually leave. Would highly reccomend to anyone wanting a oeaceful retreat!

Absolutely fabulous, never wanted to leave. Staff, location, accommodation and food all exceeded expectation. Only negative feedback would be the price of alcohol.

What a wonderful place”
We travelled into the Inle area, like most people I guess, for the first time and didn't know what to expect. Myanmar is so diverse but we thought that Inle would be the most 'touristy'. The hotel is a few miles down the lake from Naungshwe. There are a few big hotels and developments along this stretch of road plus some nice houses, businesses, farms etc. My initial thoughts were that it was too big and looked like the condos you see everywhere on Spain's Costas. I was wrong though. The Sanctum Hotel is new and designed by a European. The GM, Philippe, is a very experienced, well travelled hotelier. Why was I wrong...well it is exquisitely designed with the theme of a monastery. The least austere monastery since Henry VIII took to raiding their coffers! Everything down to the cups and saucers works (looks/feel/function). Hats off to the designer; and construction team who completed the job. However to me a hotel is more than bricks and linen. It is primarily how well the staff do their job, and customer handling in particular. The Burmese are in the main very, very welcoming. Philippe has taken this and added efficiency and style. I could not fault one thing they did for us. I loved every second I was there. If the Myanmar tourist industry needs a playbook to follow, talk to Philippe. I look forward to hearing more about the boutique hotel they are planning for Yangon
