Excellent Location with Most Value for Money - Sand Sea Resort ”
Resorts connects both Railey East and West. Beautiful View from the Resturant at Railey West side. Morning breakfast with a view. Very therapeutic to hear the sound of the waves while having breakfast. Excellent Pool facing the beach. Kids were playing from beach to pool. Less than a minute Short walk to Railey Walking street. Many restaurants to choose from. From Front Desk at Railey East connects to many attractions ie. Princess Cave , Rock Climbing Walls, location is prefect - short walk to everything. I walked to a DIY Laundromat from Railay East. So it was helpful that Sand Sea Resort has an excellent location.

I stayed here for a NYE's wedding. The proximity to the beach is unparalleled. You have meals facing the water. There are three swimming pools, and I loved the ones further away from the beach because of their privacy. The breakfast is good - lunch and dinner take a while so plan accordingly. I stayed in three different rooms while I was there because of wifi issues, and the staff was eager to help and moved me without any complaint. The rooms were all spotless, spacious, and had what I needed. I'll stay there again! Thank you, Sand Sea!

This hotel has a great location. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was delicious. We saw monkeys, squirrels and a monitor lizard right from our room door. Room is large and beds comfortable. Would stay here again!

The location of the resort was awesome. We got the bunglow at the sunset point side where the restaurant and railey market was nearby. Resort was clean and the staff was also helpfull. They also arranged early drop for us even after informing them late night. I would recommend others to book this resort and ask them for a room near to sunset point.

The best place on the beach at Railay”
We loved our stay at Sand Sea-so much we extended our 10 days for another 10 days! The staff are impeccable, the breakfast is substantial and right on the beach. Our bungalow on Flower Road was so spacious, with a shady verandah and the most comfortable deck chairs to watch the monkeys, squirrels and toucans pass by. Morning swims before a buffet breakfast was absolute paradise. I am refreshed.

Sand Sea Resort is formerly Sunrise Tropical.”
Bother resorts still exist but Sunrise Tropical is currently being rebranded into the existing Sand Sea resort. The property now sprawls from Railay West to Railay East. I stayed on the former Sunrise Tropical side but ate breakfast on the Railay west side. The room was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was enormous. The grounds are meticulously maintained, and the staff was kind and generous.

Great location! I didn’t realize that you needed to take a long tail boat to reach Railay beach when I booked, so I thought I had made a terrible mistake, but it was PERFECT! Only drawback to the resort is the lighting in the room, too dark for putting on makeup (very minor issue) we loved it here! So much to explore nearby!

Beautiful relaxing Oasis”
We were a small group of four and were treated like family at this resort. Upon arrival, they upgraded our rooms to adjoining suits, because they remembered me from a previous time and were honoring the loyalty. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, and even though I speak Thai, their English was Excellent! The rooms were clean and fresh. The food delicious! They have everything you could want, from two pools, beach front, kayak rentals, massages, exercise rooms, late check out facilities, such as showers if you want to stay longer, they will keep your bags. Nearby there are all kinds of local restaurants. Including the most delicious Donor place that specializes in many different foods, shakes, and roti's. There are coffee shops, and delicious Indian cuisine nearby. You can kayak to other beach fronts where the water is crystal clear. I almost hesitate to give such a rave review to keep it uncrowded with tourists. But everyone should experience this bit of paradise on earth!

Island-like Vacation”
This beautiful resort is set on a peninsula of Krabi, Thailand. You have to take a short boat road to reach the island, but it is so worth it. You can find good deals on Agoda to definitely make a cost effective trip, with breakfast included in a lot of the deals. There are two pools at the resort, a variety of options for rooms. Massage, a gym, kayaks to rent right from the resort, with gorgeous scenic view. There are a variety of delicious food options on a small walking street, shakes, coffee's, etc. I do recommend you buy snacks ahead of time if you are so inclined, because most things are twice the price as a 711. My only complaints are with smoking tourists, and boats sounds coming in and out all the time. But if you go at the right time of year, you really can't go wrong.

Best beach option on Railay ”
Sand and Sea is on the west side of Railay which is the best to stay. The east side is not an attractive sea front especially at low tide. Our bungalow was great. Comfy bed. One minute down a beautiful path to beach and restaurant. Great breakfast buffet. I deducted one star as their bathrooms need updating. They’re fine and clean- shower is separate. Just outdated compared to other places. After the day crowds leave it’s quiet in the evening and morning. Very close to walking street with many restaurants.

The location of the this resort on this beach is top class! You don’t need to go anywhere! It’s a mega size resort- so it connects East side to west side of the beach! Buy you need consider few things in few rooms/ bungalow cause it’s situated in a very remote location and this is one of the oldest resort in this area. They are actually a classic type huge size resort. Very close with nature… has east and west both sides of the island! Very nice complimentary breakfast! Location of this resort will give you the best experience of this island! I am recommending this resort. Nature, peaceful, just perfect for a vacation!

Our stay was most memorable. The hotel's site is at an excellent location. The breakfast was incredible, hotel staffs very very friendly. The only criticism we have is the water force in the bathroom shower was very low. This should be improved. Else everything was simply great.

Railay is a wonderful peninsula that feels like an island. The hotel did a great job of maintaining this feeling. The place was clean and well ran.

Very smooth transfer!”
We opted in for the airport transfer and it was so worth it! We got on 4 different types of vehicles to make it to our hotel but it was ran so smoothly. They were very organized and on time, we were very impressed! The place was clean and located centrally on the island, easy to walk everywhere! We would stay there again!

This is so far our favorite place and hotel for that matter in whole of thailand. The staff will make you feel welcome and safe. The place gives you experience by meeting wild life everyday. Location is also perfect, sunset in front of the resort, sunrise 2 minutes walk at the back of the resort. Breakfast was great, the family room was perfect for us with great bed. The resort offers 2 pool and we always used the one inside the resort aS it is more secluded and relaxing for us. Resort has a well maintained garden, making you wish you have that kind of garden at your own place. Railey beach in general has surprised us. We can stay here for months. We will come again and again that is for sure.

very good overall but internet problem”
It could be because our room was right at the back of the property, but for the 2 nights we were there I had essentially no internet, it would come on now and then (quite infrequently) for a minute or so, long enough for me to read a menu and click on something, but then gone for another hour or 2 or 3 - I phoned the front desk a few times Friday night, they said they'd have their IT guy look into it, but it never changed, so I went those 2 nights (and days but we were doing stuff in the day, but I like to spend some time on the net in the evening) with no net. So if you need the net and are booking one of the cheaper rooms near the back - watch out for this (otherwise the rooms are very very nice, very good value for money)
