Good place to explore the East Coast”
We had a nice three night stay at Sandpiper Cottages. The cottages are located a short drive from Bicheno town centre. Upon arrival John was very friendly and helpful in suggesting a few places to visit in the area. The apartment itself was well equipped and had everything we needed. It is a good place to explore the Freycinet national park or up to St Helens. Recommended and would stay again.
Fantastic location right on Denison Beach. ”
Cottage was clean & loved the wood heater. Our wood heap was replenished daily. The breakfast hamper was a hit. Fresh eggs from the local chooks along with fresh bread from the bakery. Varied cereals & milk. Highly recommended & have no hesitation in coming back. Delightful gardens & only a short walk to the beach.
A beautiful part of Tasmania”
This property is great. Well located by the beach and close to Bicheno. Very comfortable and spacious accomodation with all the kitchen utensils/ aids you could want. Heaps of fire wood for the firs, which was huge and very effective. The hosts were very generous and helpful. We will return.
Private beach cottage”
My partner and I stayed two nights. It's clean, has everything you need and more. Washing machine and drier is also in your cottage. That's a big tick for us. You have this path straight to a private beach . And a very sweet welcome basket with breakfast stuff in it. Hearing the sound of waves from the cottage is relaxing.Driving distance to Bicheno town is 5-10min. Definitely worth of the money stay!
A wonderful and peaceful stay here - with everything at hand and beautiful accommodation - would return!!
Fantastic little hideaway in a lovelybush/ beach setting. Unit well supplied & friendly staff”

Fantastic location for beach, great cottage”
We stayed in the Oceanview cottage and it was just perfect, on the second day it rained and after going site seeing in the morning and the rain getting worse, we returned to the cottage and entertained our friends (they had booked into motel) cooked a meal and forgot about the weather. The owners were very helpful and supplied free dvd's due to the rain. Would recommend this cottage and will return.
Great location, comfortable & excellent service”
a most enjoyable environment to spend a few days relaxing. wish we had longer. breakfast was a surprise with freshly laid eggs.
Lovely place on lonely beach”
We arrived at this lovely spot in the middle of nowhere after a long day's drive from Hobart to a charming welcome and were shown to our 'beachhut', which turned out to be an extremely well-equiped and comfortable cottage in the dunes. We spent two delightful days there, only going out to shop for dinner to cook at home, much more relaxing than the restaurants in Bicheno about 10 km away. The cottage has an attractive veranda from which we watched the birds, the rabbits and the wallabies eating the grass in front. It's a short walk from a beautiful beach on which we walked for hours never meeting another person. There are a couple of seats pearched on the dunes from which you have the ocean view for which the cottage is named. That was my only disappointment, there was a dune top spoiling my view of the ocean!
