Highly recommended ”
The hotel was beautiful, rooms enormous with nice big balcony. Not sure what keeps it from being 5-star. My only "complaint" - the hair dryers were worse than the ones in my gym. If that can be considered a complaint. We couldn't eat in the restaurant because we didn't book ahead - something to keep in mind. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Wouldn't doubt to recommend this hotel

Beautiful Hotel, Good Location, Service is ok”
Room, Location, Breakfast
We stayed at the Sandton Grand Hotel Reylof on a Saturday, driving to Ghent from London. I chose the Hotel based on the fact it is recommended as the 'best' Hotel in Ghent according to Agoda and Trip Advisor reviews. The price was ok and we chose the Hotel due to parking, but the Hotel does not have parking, instead they have a multi-storey Car Park around the corner. This Car Park costs 11 Euros per 24h Stay, however if you use the Car Park as a Hotel Guest they charge 21 Euros to your room and provide you with a code to exit the Car Park, we did this and the code did not work, the attendant for the car Park helped us and informed us that the code means nothing to him and we had to pay 11 Euros to leave the Car Park, so if you stay at this hotel, just park first and then check in to save 10 Euros. The pictures you see of the Hotel are taken from the gardens at the back, so it does not look like this from the front, however it is as nice as this picture inside, high ceilings, sweeping staircases and great art on the walls! The room was lovely and we were upgraded to a suite, with a living room, kitchen and balcony. All new appliances and quality fittings. The staff were ok, bordering on brusque, I think this is indicative of the Country and maybe not the hotel, but the check-in is late (3pm) so we had to leave our bags at reception on arrival, and things are not explained as well as can be regarding this, parking, etc. Waiting staff are also quite efficient and cold, again I'm not sure if we can say this is the service quality of the Hotel or the Country, as we experienced this in the restaurants too. Overall it's a nice Hotel, located a short walk from the main Historical Centre, with lovely building, interiors, nice tastefully decorated rooms & average staff...

Lovely stay in a beautiful hotel”
Courteous and helpful Staff, location, lovely buildings, wellness area
Generally a wonderful experience. Staff all very Courteous and helpful. Very friendly. Place was clean and the room was lovely. Bathroom a good size and very nice. Location good. 5 min walk to the core area. Some road and sidewalk work on the road leading to the central part of town so you have to watch for traffic but not an issue. We had a few tech issues ... We had an end suite with spotty wifi service. A hotel technician did come and reset the wifi router for us but wifi was still variable in our room. Bed was a bit too soft. Looks like they put a foam topping on the bed which made it too soft and the bed sheets did not fit properly. Otherwise lovely room and lovely stay. I would go back!

Stylish comfort in a great little city!”
Style of the rooms, great breakfast, and a wonderful location
This is an easy taxi ride from the main train station in Ghent, and an easy walk to the historic center of town. Not too much bustle on the street, and the rooms have more character than the more expensive Marriott.

Beautiful decor and great boutique hotel”
Bar area, wellness spa, modern and creative decor
The bar and restaurant are beautiful, delicious menu and fabulous decor. The wellness spa is great. There are many areas to relax in front of a fire and lounge about. The hotel is clean, service is good. I would stay again as thoroughly enjoyed the look and feel of the hotel.

The decor
it is a new hotel so there were still some problems when i was there such as the noise of the lift. but i didn't mind as much because it is a beautiful hotel.
