Way better than I feared”
After reading some horror reviews online after it was too late to cancel, I was worried about booking Sansi Diputacio, but I guess I was lucky! The staff were all kind, the WiFi worked somewhat, and the location is amazing! The room was compact but clean, with a large window and comfortable bed, while the bathroom needed updating but was sanitary. I would stay here again if the rate were a little lower!

I had room 210, which overlooked a charming tapas place on a tree lined avenue; very pretty and great for watching Barcelona life. Great price point for sucha central hotel, but be warned that the internet can be spotty.

Room was a good size and bed was comfy. Can walk to Ramblas in a short time and close to the main shoping area and passieg de Gracia station which has direct trains to airport.

Good hotel, bad facilities”
The wastafel is stuck, the water not flush well, the lift its stuck too.. we should push to open the door of that lift... but the staff, cleanliness was very good... i think it should be renovation to make it better

There are many negative comments here about this hotel... But for me, staying alone, it was good hotel. The size of the room was enough, the reception was friendly, and location was good for shopping and sightseeing. The hotel in Europe are generally old and small, and expensive. The price is reasonable in the big city!

Averagely acceptable”
It was fairly good in staying in this hotel. Except the facility is little bit off. Air Conditional is available (very old and noisy) but not working. Requested to change another room but still air-con was faulty. Interior design of room was looking old. Apart from that, staffs were lovely. Very helpful. Location is best

Unsatisfactory”
We arrived to the hotel around 9 pm, and found out that our reservation was canceled on the arrival day. Only thankfully to the personal initiative and kindness of the gentleman on the front desk we were not left on the streets late at night . It took a lot of effort and time on his part to find for us another hotel in the same price range.

1. rooms are not big but contain anything you need, looks recently renovated and no rugs so dust is to it's minimum. 2. bathroom is good, clean and comfortable. 3. hotel is located on diputacio and balmes, just 5 minutes from placa de catalunya. it's also not far from passeig de gracia the metro and train station so you can take the airport train and avoid the costly taxi prices. 4. the street is well lighten and wide in case you arrive or go out late 5. staff was nice and polite but not very helpful when it comes to tourist attractions, better go to the tourist information at placa catalunya. price is a bit high for this small hotel and 4 stars hotels in barcelona might not be what you are used to but overall we enjoed our stay and might be back on our next visit to amazing barcelona

GREAT LOCATION! ”
We were touring Spain and returned to Barcelona for one day! This was the perfect location for us. Great for touring, close to restaurants and shopping and gay bars. The hotel is very clean and modern. The bathrooms are roomy and have a tub. Which is a nice addition and not found in most European hotels. The rooms are large. The only draw back is no on site bar.

The hotel staff was quite friendly and suggested lots of interesting local sites to visit. They were willing to help at all times. The room bathroom looked a bit old but in the end it was all that we needed. I would recommend this hotel to visit the center of Barcelona.

Great location, and value for a money. The only downside was that the internet access to hotel WiFi was poor and not possible to connect. Our room was on the 1st floor and with a view to internal "space" within the building therefore lack of light and internet. However the room price and it's comfort outweigh these inconveniences. Would stay again. Ps we arrived at the evening and the sign above entrance is not very visible some light would definitely make a difference ;).

Good hotel, but not a 4 star”
I booked this hotel with only 1 day in advance and was able to get it for an excelent price. The hotel is very neat and clean and I had a very good first impression. Unfortunately, it didn't go all the way. Don't get me wrong, we liked our stay very much. Bed was very good, room was very clean, bathroom was nice and all, but I think this hotel cannot be classified as a 4 star one. I've been to many 3 star hotels that had the same or even better facilities. The rooms were quiet but smallish. Our room window gave a a direct view to our bathroom, which wouldn't be a problem if the bathroom door wasn't made of glass.... Also, I understand hotels have check-in policies, but this was the first hotel that I went to (and I have been to many) that wouldn't even consider the possibility of an early check-in. For example, I went to a 3 star Mercure in Lisbon 5 days ago. Check-in time was at 14h, but I arrived at 8h. I asked at the reception and we were lucky that our room was available, so they let us check-in. At this hotel, I arrived at 12h, check-in was at 15h. The receptionist told us to come back at 15h, didn't even check the room. They did offer to keep our luggage, which was great. But then we arrived at 14:50 and they asked us to wait 10 more minutes before checking in! Really??? In 10 minutes she would have done our check-in and at 15h we would be at the room. Also, our key card didn't work EVERY TIME we tried to open the door. We had to go to the reception and ask for a new key every single time...

City Traveller”
The check in process was very slow. I arrived at 2:30pm asking to check in but they asked me to come back at 3pm. I waited in the hotel and approached the reception at 3pm and it took till 3:30 till I got my room key. Very very slow.... If you want to check in before time at this hotel forget it! Plus they asked to see my passport at check in and check out. I asked why they needed my passport at check out and they said the passport details are not in that system. Seems their admin procedure for check in is not very efficient if you have to present your passport at the end of your stay again.... bizarre and confusing. Nice room though and big in size and close to centre of city.

Plaza Catalunya is very close, university area”
Although I couldn't check in until 3, the staff was extremely friendly and gave me all sorts of recommendations and a free drink while I waited. It is a great area if you want to try something different than the Gotic or Barceloneta. Very close to Barcelona university, Plaza Catalunya, La Rambla. I would definitely stay here again. Maybe just a bit pricey for what you get, but overall a good stay.

Hotel has ideal location, within walking distance to most tourist attractions. It is very close to the tourist bus pick up point and within walking distance to the metro and bus stations. The room is above-average in size, very clean, plus the staff are very pleasant and helpful. One of the staff Della is especially helpful and nice. Will definitely recommend this hotel.

We have stayed for 4 nights, great location, very close to Plaza Catalunya & Universitat. If you are staying here you must try the restaurant opposite the hotel. Very good food & sensible prices. We had 3 dinners & a breakfast.
