This place is perfectly located next to the purple / green metro line. You can get to all the sites by metro if you know the stops. Ask the staff. More importantly you can metro to the Sants Estacion, the train station. The area is eclectic and has obvious police strolling and patrolling area. In all of Barcelona watch your bag. Pick pockets are everywhere. I was in the church and a lady asked me to take a photo of her immediately as I entered. As I was adjusting my bag I caught the pick pockets hand half in my purse. If we weren’t in the church I would have broke his fingers. I made a big scene and he and his female partner exited the church. I told the staff as he was walking out and they said they are not the police and there are many thief’s in Barcelona. I said maybe they want to at least see who was preying in the people coming to church but so be aware they don’t care. Don’t let this keep you from visiting Barcelona is amazing. Toledo is more amazing!!!

my husband, my 9-year-old son and i stayed at the eric vökel gran via suites in barcelona, in the first week of july. we arrived at the suites after a 15 minute taxi ride (26 euros) from the airport. we were warmly welcomed by alex, one of the receptionists, who informed us that although we had booked a 2-bedroom apartment he could "upgrade" us to the 3-bedroom penthouse suite (at no extra cost). the penthouse (on the 8th floor of a fully renovated 110 year old traditional spanish building, was impeccable: very clean, stylishly furnished, very comfortable, with 2 terraces with a great view of the city (specially the sagrada familia in a distance), 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen (nespresso machine, microwave,dishwasher with liquid), iron & ironing board, washingmachine and washingpowder. the location was also to our liking as it was not in the very overcrowded touristic quarters but instead gave us an opportunity to experience the "real" barcelona. only within a couple of minutes walking distance is the plaza espanya where one: -can get on the metro and reach all touristic attractions within minutes. -like to visit the fira, font montjuic and the national museum. -can find numerous options for eating out and shopping. overall we were very satisfied with our stay at the eric vökel and felt that it was a great alternative to staying at a hotel.

We have just returned from a four night stay in the Market Hotel in Sant Antoni, Barcelona. This boutique hotel is situated in a lovely part of Barcelona within easy walking distance of La Ramblas etc. There are two Metro Stations close by and the Aerobus stops are two blocks away. There are some great bars, cafe's and bakeries very near to the hotel. The hotel rooms are lovely with large comfortable beds and probably the best shower we have ever experienced in a hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the hotel is very popular for eating and serves excellent food at realistic prices. Bar Rosso which is part of the Hotel is a relaxing bar and a great place to chill with your favourite tipple. Tourist maps and guides are available from the reception desk and it is definitely worth buying a Hola BCN metro ticket for 2 or more days as the metro is a great way to get around the city and explore the fantastic delights Barcelona has to offer. We had no issues on the Metro and certainly no attempts by would be pick pockets occurred. In fact Barcelona is probably the most friendliest city we have ever been to, We would definitely return to the Market Hotel and it will be interesting to see how far the old Sant Antoni Market hall (which the Hotel is named after) is coming along during it's refurbishment. It will be stunning once completed. Just a pity we had to come home.

This is the second dailyflats apartment for the trip. Therefore, we were already familiar with checking in process (at the office in another location nearby). A little nicer apartment compared to Dailyflats La Ramblas. They have the smallest elevator I have ever seen in my life, fits 1 person ONLY. Had to do a few rounds with our luggage before we all finally made it to the unit. There were 2 elevators each going to different unit. We got it wrong the first time. Although indicated on the rent contract, it would be nice if office had informed us earlier. Apartment is nice and decently decorated. We booked for a 2 bedroom but the unit we got was a 3 bedroom - 1 double bed and 2 single beds. Theres also a sofa bed in the living room. As in all other apartments, its well furnished (with a washing machine but we could never figure out how exactly the machine works). Its near to many shops, markets, restaurants, cafes, etc (there seems to be plenty of electrical shops nearby and on the way to plaza catalunya area).

We stayed 4 nights at the HCC Lugano Barcelona. The standard room was of a reasonable size, very clean and new. The hotel is in a good location and a short walking distance to 3 different metro stations, which made visiting all the different attractions in Barcelona very quick and easy. There are many restaurants and tapas bars nearby. We had very good tapas at Pulperia A Gudina, which is less than 5 minutes from the hotel. A lot of attractions are also nearby like the MNAC, Joan Miro Foundation, Magic Fountain of Montjuic and the Montjuic park. Overall, I would say the hotel stay was good value for money, considering the expensive hotel prices in Barcelona

Whilst the hotel met all our expectations. It seemed a little dated and the decor was tired. No tea or coffee making facilities. However, you could not wish for better, more accommodating staff who represented the company splendidly anf the hotel was handy for all the main tourist attractions Barcelona was extremely disappointing in that the city was filthy, graffiti ridden and the beggars were a nightmare.

The room is big and location is pretty good. But please consider below, contact them to get the door code when you arrive in Barcelona, make sure you have a credit card Visa and Master with “PASSWORD” for machine check-in. In the apartment, make sure that you got a hot water for taking bath when first entry, Cleaning room policy is MUST, unless you want to pay or stay over 5 days. Hope this information help.

We stayed here because it was a really busy week in Barcelona with a telecoms conference, so there were hardly any rooms left in the city when we came round to booking. But as hostels go I was really pleasantly surprised! The rooms are large and clean, we had a small balcony overlooking the Main Street which we liked. The staff are the real jewels here, every one of them we came into contact with were so polite and smily and couldn't do enough to answer all our questions or help,us when needed. Location wise it seems off the beaten track at first but there is quite a straight road that leads down to Ramblas in about 10 mins, so after you have made the journey once, you know where you're going. Really not bad at all for a budget choice. Also security seems to be good and you feel safe in the room.

Automated machine for check in was very difficult! Everyone we saw trying to check in had trouble with it. Wished we had been given code to get in building after payment was made. The local phone call was a real hassle, we had no local service, and could not get the public phone at the airport to work. Not one English TV channel. Lockers inside building were fantastic! Great location, Thanks!

We had a very pleasant experience. There was a little misunderstanding (on my part) as to the location of the apartment at first. But once we got to the place and met up with Jennifer (the contact staff person), everything was perfect. Our friends had an evening flight and Jennifer was even nice enough to allow them to have a late checkout at no extra cost (of course provided that the apartment did not have any other bookings on the day of departure). We highly recommend this place to all our friends.

This is the best hostel for me which I have ever stayed. The location is quite near the City Center and there is a incredible restaurant with exceptional taste comes with very reasonable price - named Xone which I get recommend from the good receptionist. All the receptionists are very friendly and helpful. The room clean, nice view and provided locker for each bed. I can't look for more with very value for money and good hospitality with Pars Tailors hostel. Thank you all.

The room was large and attractively decorated. The large floor level only had two other rooms which meant that the large shared kitchen and seating area felt that it was homely personal space and very unlike a hotel. This wasn't the only so called 'bed and breakfast' accommodation that we stayed in that was in fact much better than most of the hotel rooms we had booked. Perhaps use a less misleading title? Even though their was no reception our late arrival was no problem.

Me and a friend stayed the last 2 nights of our trip at Hola B&B - compared to all other hostels/hotels with comparable prices this place was definetely the best one. When we arrived in front of the building we weren´t sure where to ring - as there was no distinct sign on the bell - but then one guy of the staff directly welcomed us down there and showed us the room, the kitchen etc. Our room was at the top floor, in a flat with three other guestrooms and two bathromms, and had a balcony- so we had a great, authentic view over the street and the buildings. It was colourfull and very comfy. The only thing we missed was a small lamp next to the bed, to have some more indirect light in there. The wifi worked well and the bigger bathroom was in absolutely clear, timeless style. I didn´t use the other bathroom, as it was really small - but it looked nice as well. The kitchen was quite plain equipped, but offered everything we needed. It eaven had a sunny balcony. Furthermore this was the first place in Barcelona where we found a free water dispenser for drinking water. All in all it´s noticeable that this place is equipped and furnished by someone with a good hand for modern and homely style. The People from the staff were absolutely kind and thoughtfull and showed true interest of the satisfaction of their guests. All in all, we were really happy that we finally found a place like this, after a lot of loveless arranged rooms in the 10 days before.
