Disappointing”
After seeing so many positive reviews, I was quite surprised from the moment my boyfriend and I arrived at our 'homestay'. Overall, we felt rather ignored and burdensome. Pros: -cooking was excellent. there was a plethora of food for every meal, and each meal was different. - there were huge blankets and even an electric mattress cover which was very helpful given it was freezing. Cons: - Dat was very dismissive, seemed to care little about us being there. Ran the place more like a B&B. Very short in his answers and gave very little information about himself or Sapa and the community. Anytime we spoke to him, it felt we were bothering him. I saw him snap at another guest and felt really uncomfortable. - room wasn't ready when we arrived - never clarified how meals/drinks worked until he handed us a bill 10 minutes before leaving. It seemed like food and drinks were included as he never mentioned that we should keep track of what we ate/drank. - overall, unpleasant stay.

This is not in Sapa or very homely”
Pros: The heated blanket and wellington boots provided for treks were great. Cons: 1) It states Sapa in the name, but this is located 30 minutes outside of Sapa 2) It is nearly impossible to get a taxi out and you can't hire scooters within the village 3)There are limited food options around (approximately 4) and food at the homestay costs additional 4) The tours offered are only around the village, not multiple villages (like other tours from Sapa) 5) Internet is limited in the bedroom (makes planning difficult), and although it is available (on request) in the main communal area; this area isn't very inviting 6) We requested a pick up but never got one, even though we had read multiple reviews that this was offered 7) The host wasn't very concerned/supportive when we needed to visit Sapa (for medical reasons) and was preoccupied with being hungover. I found/organised with one taxi in the village, which he questioned me about, before reluctantly taking me on his scooter into Sapa.

Great Value if you like it quiet”
Heavenly Homestay is a little outside of Sapa town. If you like it quiet and have a good starting point for hikes through the rice fields, it's the perfect spot. The food was the best that we had so far, the host family was super nice. Highly recommended if you prefer staying away from sapa town which is very touristic.

Diferente”
Hace dos años me dicen que no había ni wifi pero ahora ya es un hostel perdido en las montañas encantador.
