      Well located aging hotel ”

This is and old hotel that requires some new touches. My room is on the higher floor which requires some climbing but it offers great views of Sapa town and the distance mountains.

this hotel is located in cau may street, the main thoroughfare here in sapa town. the street is lined with many restaurants including italian, french, indian, and vietnamese cuisines.it also provides travel services to almost anywhere around sapa and beyond.

      excellent position
the dining room was cold and a cosy lobby or meeting place would have been nice

We were perfectly happy with the hotel considering the price. As with everything else in life, you get what you pay for. The room was big and comfy but cold and I asked for a heater immediately and there was an extra daily charge for this. The main problem with the room was the lack of lighting which was so dim that it was impossible to read in bed. There was more light coming in from the street than within. The reception area was a bit gloomy too. I'm sure that there would have been good views if the mist ever cleared!

      Condition of building and fittings

It was cold for most of my stay so be aware that this hotel would appar to have no heating . Nights can be very cold ! The young staff here are allways helpfull and try to cope with most things including English . However , the hotel codition is at best 'tired' and at worst decrepid . This nicely postioned hotel is in real need of a complete refurbishment . Bearing that in mind it is reasonably clean and servicable as a base for exploreing the many joys of Sa Pa . My 'satisfied' rating below is on condition you get this at the right price !!

Good position in town, good bed with warm doonas, staff friendly
Poor lighting, old bathroom with hand held shower in bath, cold as no heating

Staff were very friendly but can get cheaper tours elsewhere. Breakfast was basic. I think we are used to better choice throughout Vietnam. The rooms were a good size and would have had good views if the fog had lifted. Was generally clean but tired particularly the bathroom. OK for a 2 star hotel. You pay for what you get.

      Waardeloos versleten vochtig hotel”

      Uitzicht
      Vochtig, personeel, kou
