Beautiful Hotel!”
Sapporo Prince is a beautiful hotel. It has its own hot spring spa (which is a famous recreational activity in the Sapporo area). The views from any room are magnificent. Because it is a circular shaped building, you are guaranteed a great view no matter where your room will be facing since the city of Sapporo is spectacularly backdropped by snow capped mountains! the staff are very helpful from check-in, to tour reservation help and guidance, all the way to check-out. Free wifi and UCC coffee are nice add on touches for the guest. The only knock is its a bit far from the Tanuki Koji shopping arcade and Susukino where most of life happens in Sapporo. But considering Sapporo is a small city which you can basically walk around easily, this is a minor concern.

Exceptional”
We arrived near midnight from New Chitose Airport with the airport limousine. Just bare in mind, Sapporo Prince Hotel is the last 2 bus stops from the airport, it took nearly 1 hour 25 minutes from the airport. This hotel a bit far from JR Sapporo station but the hotel provide free shuttle bus from hotel to the station but you need to make reservation for morning shuttle bus since morning time always full and busy. Overall our stay is enjoyable. There is no gym facility inside the hotel, you need to go outside for complimentary gym.

Airport transport at door step”
New choose airport (¥1100) and Niseko (¥4580 round Trip) bus stop is right next to the hotel. Prince hotel helped to reserve Chuo bus tickets to niseko hotels. Walking distance 5 minsto Tanukikoji walking street, Odori park. Beef rice restaurant, 100yen just 3 mins away, with convenient shop across the room and In hotel. Hotel shuttle to Sapporo station hourly. Onsen/ Spa on the hotel with ¥500 tax should you wish to have a go. Overall, great value of you can get a good price.

Good location, okayish rooms, bad air conditioning”
In general, most Japanese hotels come with a hefty price tag but the quality offered in return isnt of the same standards. And Sapporo Prince Hotel is no exception to that rule. Location: Its located right next to Odori Park and with short walks you find yourself in centre of all attractions, the markets, etc. Check-in and check-out experience: smooth and seamless, I was in my room within 5 mins. Space: I had a deluxe room and the room size it indicated that it was rather a starter level room Smell: We are allocated a smoking-room despite of non-smoking room booking because the hotel had failed to allocated our room to other guests Heat: This was just terrible. The Air-conditioning was set to TOO HOT in the room. I switched it off, opened the air ventilator, started the humidifier and the room was still unbearable. The heat was so bad, that we couldnt even sleep in the room. It almost felt like summer with 30-35degrees, completely dry atmosphere. Will I go there again? NO.

Sapporo Autumn Food Festival”
My wife, daughter and I visited Sapporo mainly for the food festival. The hotel was very near the park. The hotel is also within a pleasant walking distance to all the department stores, restaurants and market we visited. Our room was on the 27th floor with a magnificent view. The room was clean and big. The supply of toiletries was very generous. The staff, just like all the Japanese, were very pleasant and attentive and helpful.

Nice hotel with friendly staff”
Although this hotel is not near any JR or train station (you will need to change train services although is it just two stops from Sapporo station), the facilities and staff attitude were very good. We left our bags two days before check-in as we were going to another location and staff was happy for us to leave our bags there, save us the trouble of bring too many bags around. There is a 100 Yen shop just opposite the hotel and about 10 to 15 minutes walk (snow condition) to Tanukikoji 7 shopping area. The onsen is good but we need to pay a small fee to use it (about 500 Yen pp).

A comfortable soft start of the travel”
The hotel location is good in terms of shopping, the main shopping street was few blocks away, can be accessed by walking. The hotel is a little bit far from train station, if taking the city metro, you will have to walk a bit (city tram or metro station). Surprisingly, this hotel room we booked was huge by using Japanese standards, it was a very comfortable stay, the bathroom was huge too, even have a normal size bathtub (normally, the bathtub in Japan's hotel are very small that you have to squeeze in). The hotel room was 24th floor, could see the Sapporo city from the window. In general, a very valuable room rate.

Great for a Family Vacation”
This was a great find for a family vacation. An easy walk to Odori Park, and easy walk to Suskino, so restaurants and times out with the fam are easy to find. From Sapporo Station all cabbies know where this place is so it is a landmark.

Value for money”
The hotel located near the subway station. In fact it is easy to walk from here to many good restaurants and the tourist attactions. We took taxi from the Saporro station to the hotel and reached here in about 10 minutes. The staff are very helpful and friendly though they are not very well verse in English. The room were so clean and bright and has a view over a ski resort. The onsen was good but we need to pay for it. We like this hotel very much and will definitely come back again.

great hotel, poor service”
We stayed a total of 5 nights, reception staff told us they cannot help to book any tours or buses to snow. I also wanted to order a delivery to the hotel and was told by reception that they cannot help me. All the other staff were great. Buffet was above average but very expensive. theres a buffet at the mall above sapporo station that was much better.

Far from the action - pain to go back and forth ”
I didn't realise that the standard room would be so small. The room didn't feel v clean even though it was neat. The location was not great either. It is quite a walk from the city center although you could technically walk but it isn't one of those places you could walk around town then return for a coffee to go out again. There is a Sunway station about 2-3 blocks down. Not fun walk when it was cold. Especially when you had spent a whole day out the last thing you want is to have to walk another 3 blocks back to the hotel from the station. The hotel is in a circular block so there is a chance you might have your view blocked by the building next door. The poor cleaning staff looked miserable every time we passed by. There is a convenient luggage delivery desk in the lobby and for about 800¥ you can send your luggage to the airport ahead of you. Be warned if you are planning to take the airport shuttle to the hotel - it us a looooong ride before you get to the Prince because the shuttle has to visit a lot if other 'subjects' first throughout the 'kingdom' after it reaches the city center. It took us another 30 mins to get to the hotel after we entered the city. It was frustrating. If you don't have a lot of luggage you might just want to take the train in from Chitose and stop at Sapporo Station, then cab to the hotel. It'd cost you about ¥1200 for the cab. If you're with a friend / friends you can buy a discounted strip of 4 shuttle bus tickets for ¥3780 - 4 one-way or 3 returns. One way on the shuttle is ¥1030(?). Check- the return shuttle to Chitose only runs till midday.

2 entrance at this hotel”
We love Our stay here. Staffs are really helpful. But you really need to ask them everything. We didn't know there were 2entrance. If u need to catch a bus to other places like ski resort during your stay there, make sure u wait for the bus at the West gate. We waited at the main gate instead. We missed and saw our bus drove off 20meters away by the time we found out. The lady staff from the front desk ran all the way to the next street to try to catch the bus for us. But unfortunately noone notice her. After that, she called the bus co n arranged someone to come in private car to pick n sent us up to the mountain. We are touched n grateful by her help which you don't need to tell them what to do next. They are very well informative if u ask them how to get around. It's better for you to let them know your itenery or u expecting a bus or anything before hand.Convenient store and restaurants are just opposite and beside the hotel. 10mins walk to the the main district/park/shopping area. We loves to walk and look around so the distance are not a problem to us at all. They have an affordable Onsen(hot bath) in the hotel and restaurant that is always packed with ppl. Too bad we didn't try both because we hv tattoo and also on tight schedule to try the food. Tattoo are not allowed in Onsen/public Onsen. We have to pay for a private Onsen elsewhere.

Excellent”
The room is a bit small. There is an Airport limousine bus to the hotel. The hotel is clean. The bathroom has a bathtub and bigger than a normal bathroom in japan. Breakfast is good and lots of choices. They have laundry area. There is a convenience store just outside the hotel. The staff can speak English and they helped us to check bus timing and where to take a bus going to Niseko since we missed the early morning bus from the hotel going directly to niseko.

Disappointed for shuttle service”
We are totally 8 people staying at Prince Sapporo Hotel on 19 Dec. for 1 night. We took the shuttle at JR station to the hotel without any problem. When we check-in, we are not informed that we need to get a shuttle coupon if we we want take the shuttle from the hotel to JR station. When we check-out the next day, we asked a staff where to take the shuttle, he just told us the location but didn't tell us to get the shuttle coupon. We were the first to queue up and waiting for 20 mins under cold temperature. When the shuttle came, the driver asked us the coupon and told us to get it at the reception. His attitude was not pleasant. Finally we got only 3 coupons and five people cannot get on the shuttle. We are really disappointed.

Exceptional”
Upon arrival, we were greeted by staff at the door which assisted us with parking/check in procedures and baggage. Very clean and well maintained hotel. Although the room was small, it was well-equipped. Our only complain is that the room heating system for the winter is too hot even after we change the temperature to 18 degree. There is a nob at the window to all air movement from outside however still not enough cold air from the window. We ended up having little clothes yet perspiring over the night.

Tired and lacking in service - not how I remember the Prince Hotel. ”
Stayed here for four nights for the 2019 Sapporo Snow Festival. This is definitely not how I remember the Prince Hotels. We travel to Japan annually and have stayed in many properties. This was the poorest. This hotel is tired and badly needs to be upgraded. The rooms are cramped, towels are rough, beds and pillows are hard as rocks, and the toilet smells like sewer. The service is also generally lacking and is difficult for communicating if you are non-Japanese speaking. Our room included daily breakfast, but when my wife became terribly sick and unable to get out of bed, they would not let me take her breakfast from the restaurant even though we paid extra for it. As a Japanese American, I found this oddly very uncaring and un-Japanese. The buffet breakfast is also not too good, although the Japanese set breakfast in the Chinese restaurant (2nd floor) was pretty good. The location is three blocks to Odori park and subway, but there are no nearby restaurants. Would not book again.
