A Good Memories on Honeymoon”

My wife and I have our honeymoon at Siem Reap in January and lived in Sarai Resort and Spa. As a 5-Star Resort, Sarai gave us so many surprises which gave us an excellent full-stop of our honeymoon. Starting from the delicious lemongrass welcome drinks, huge fruit plate, especially the free upgrade to the awesome president suite (it has an individual swimming pool on the roof top!!!), the environment of the resort is just like a paradise. Also, the package has also included free 30 minutes massage and free escorting service to the airport. Staff were nice and helpful and not annoying. Good! Wat Damnak Village is near to the town (The Hard Rock Café). As a resort, it's quite convenient. However, sometimes the road condition around the village was not very good. It's better to travel to outside by Tuk-Tuk or by car. If you don't want to spend a lot dine in hotel, nice food near the village and the price is reasonable. Both my wife and me have nothing to complaint to the resort coz it was out of our expectations. Just hope that we will have chance to re-visit Siem Reap and enjoy this superb resort again.

Elegant Hotel and Great Value”

the warmth and charm of the hotel staff; the delicious included breakfasts; the beautiful decor and pool area

It was 39 degrees Celsius when we arrived at Sarai Resort and Spa and the welcoming staff members seated us and quickly brought us a fruit juice drink and lemongrass-scented, icy-cold moist towlettes. We wanted to rise early, so we chose to have our first dinner in the Sarai's Goat Tree restaurant. The food was outstanding, however a bit pricey for Cambodia and it seemed that the other guests had discovered this fact since the restaurant was pretty deserted. Unfortunately, so few diners made the servers overly-attentive, to the point of making us a bit uncomfortable. Our primary objective was to see the temples, and since the weather was so hot in the heat of the day, we arranged to go temple-viewing at 5 am each morning. The hotel offers a box breakfast of "bread and fruit" and we found that the boxes contained whole fruit, excellent chocolate and butter croissants and (a bit strangely) 2 pieces of plain white bread. It would have been nicer if the fruit had been peeled and cut with picks provided for eating it, but we were grateful for our breakfast. Also, some hard or cream cheese and perhaps sliced tomato would have been welcome between the slices of bread, but the croissants more that made up for the dry bread slices. The staff had also provided us with bottled water and consistently offered it each time we left the property. Really, the only small problem that we had with the Sarai was that the towels had a charcoal, burnt wood smell to them. It was not strong enough to notice until you raised the towel to your face, and the room certainly did not smell of it, since the rooms and lobby are always fragranced with the lemongrass oil that is heated in strategically-located electric burners at floor level. (Nice touch!) We really enjoyed our stay at Sarai and will highly recommend it to anyone we know who is looking to book accommodation in Siem Reap. (P.S. I like a soft pillow and a pillow menu would have let me know that one was available.)

Amazing hotel with the best staff”

The Sarai Hotel Resort & Spa is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. The moment you walk in, your senses will be overwhelmed with pleasure. Everything is so rich and spectacular. The courtyard, lobby and pool area are absolutely stunning, the stuff you see in Moroccan style hotel. This is not my first stay in Sarai. I came back to this hotel for their outstanding customer service. From the front desk staff, to the bellboys and pool guys and bartenders, to the spa staff, every single one of the staff greets you in the warmest yet most professional manner, and they go out of their way to add to your experience. During my check in process, i was assisted by Philip. His gorgeous smile goes from ear to ear and he is always so eager to ensure we have what we need. He is the epitome of excellent hospitality. Sarai Resort & Spa is a big part of why I fell in love with Siem Reap. Whenever you're here, please enjoy their spa packages, cooking class and Siem Reap tour provided by the hotel.

A prefect touch of paradise..”

We spent 3 wonderful nights at Sarai Resort, and I wish we could have stayed longer... Right from our very first minutes at Sarai, we couldn't have felt more at home and well taken care of. We had initially booked elsewhere, which didn't work out, so checked the reviews online, and Sarai stood out by mile. The staff were so welcoming (Liza, you are amazing!) The rooms are well appointed and very tasteful. I personally loved the window seat overlooking the pool, which doubled as my own personal 'lounge room' during the evening when my partner watched tv (he loved the wrestling - no accounting for taste!), while I emailed family at home. The pool area was lovely, and the service was second to none. Who needs to leave with complimentary fruit skewers or peanuts? And the simple things, like power points all around the pool area... Keeping you in touch, or charged up, to email and contact family, all while relaxing. Heading into town is effortless, as the staff arrange your tuk tuk, and advise you of the price to pay - no one is going to get ripped off here! Breakfast is also wonderful. Lots of choice, but with the 'extra' toast, croissants, fruit and yogurt... Who needs to actually order? And other simple luxuries I loved... Complimentary water... Not 2 bottles per day, but as much as you needed.. I've never had that anywhere else. They supply your room as usual, but you can help yourself to as much as you need in the lobby. My partner loved the gym, I loved the peace... And don't be scared to go for a walk.. There a few very lovely locals down the road who have anything else you may need while being away If you're going to Siem Reap, don't stay anywhere else!

Fantastic hotel!”

We loved staying at the Sarai Resort and Spa during our recent trip to Siem Reap. We came for the temples and right from the beginning the staff at Sarai were helpful, informative and engaging. The level of service here has to be up there with the best service we have ever had during our many travels. We took our 8 month old son with us and they catered amazingly for him and us. Although the room wasn't spotless, it was still clean enough for us to feel comfortable keeping our baby in there. The location is great, close enough to all the activity but far enough away to escape, facilities were exactly what was needed...a pool to cool off, a spa which was excellent, and the Goat Tree served amazing local and international cuisine. All in all, a brilliant trip that was made better by staying at the Sarai. Would recommend to anyone given the value for your money, especially those travelling with young children. We'll be back again.

wonderful stay!!!”

Room, staff, food

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Sarai. We booked through AGODA because i read their good reviews. I am glad to write that all the good reviews are true. Our booking with agoda did not include airport pick up. I tried to contact the hotel because we will be arriving late at night. They replied immediately that they wikk pick us up at no charge. Philip was there with our name on a board and a van waiting for us. There was cold water and cold towel. The hotel was about 30 minutes away. On our way, Philip asked for my booking details and check us in through his tablet. So when we got to the hotel, the front desk asked for a copy of our passports and after signing was given the key to our room. The room was big. The bed and pillows were soft and comfortable. There were toiletries, hair dryer, robes and tub. Breakfast was a selection of western and asian. Plus bread, fruits and yogurt, and your choice of coffee or fruit juice. The staff were all polite and gracious all the time. Whether its early morning, mid day or late at night. Every thing is one tuktuk away at $2. Mr vanna , tuktuk #5 was very helpful. Dont bother changing your money at the airport can pay in $ in Siem Reap. Special mention to Ziffan from the front desk who did not tire of our questions on where to eat and go. Oh tickets tothe national museum is available at the hotel with free pick up. Sokunthea of the goat tree restaurant majes good drip coffee. And to Philip. Thanks guys for making our siem reap vacation a wonderful experience. Angkor wat was magnificent!

Amasing relaxed resort with top level service!!”

This hotel is the best hotel experience I have ever had.....& I have travelled around to many countries. First of all, congratulations to the owners & managers of the hotel for hiring/training staff who are exceptional at customer service. Reception staff are so friendly & will assist without even being asked. Each day coming back from sightseeing we were greeted with friendly faces who would ask how your day is & offer you a nice tea to cool down! I was pleasantly surprised at how thoughtful & genuinely caring the staff were!! The hotel is immaculate - the architecture, decor & pool made us not want to leave for our temple tours. The lovely souvenir store inside the hotel had a great selection & we didn't need to look for souvenirs anywhere else. Our daily breakfast was amasing. This is the only hotel I have stayed where you receive toast, croissants & danishes at your table, along with yogurt & fruit, & you can still order your breakfast meal from the menu!! The food was delicious & kept our energy going throughout the day. There are also lovely restaurants nearby for a quiet dinner. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Siem Reap!! Well done to the team at Sarai Resort & Spa!!!

The only place to stay when in Siem Reap”

The whole hotel. The Food. The Excellent English Speaking Staff

Sarai has the best atmosphere from the time you cross the entrance of the hotel. The staff and management go the extra mile to make sure that they provide all guests with the best service possible. I stayed there for 3 nights and had my best meal in siem reap at The Goat Tree restaurant. The staff remember the names and rooms of their guests and I was treated as a guest not a room number. The manager was friendly and accommodating. It is quite small but the atmosphere created by the staff and the beautiful architecture of the hotel created a wonderful atmosphere that made my stay at the resort absolutely perfect. This is definitely the only resort hotel I would recommend to friends and family visiting Siem Reap. Great job to the management and staff of Sarai Hote

Interiors, Service and Location

Our stay in Sarai was an absolute dream. Once entering from a long flight, you are greeted by the gorgeous interiors and the view of the lovely pool. The rooms are so comfortable and the size is just right. We booked a terrace suite and it was a grand time just hanging out on the balcony for those lazy afternoons. The next thing that I want to talk about is the staff. Their service is impeccable and they listen to every single detail of your requests. They were absolutely great. I would definitely stay here again the next time I go back to Siem Reap. Sarai Resort and Spa deserves a 10 out of 10 for sure!

Stayed here for a few nights, and the staff were very helpful in the lead-up to our stay in that they were able to help us organize a trip up to see Ankor Wat on a moment's notice. The hospitality offered (through drinks and food) was excellent and world-class. Relaxing by the pool after a long day out was another highlight. Amazing boutique hotel!”

Location, comfort, staff

The Sarai was absolutely fantastic in every respect. I emailed ahead of time and received complimentary airport pick-up. The room was beautifully designed and very comfortable. The main pool was stunning and perfect for lounging around all afternoon. All of the food and alcohol was extremely fair priced and very good. The staff was beyond helpful at every step. They helped us arrange a car to go around the temples all day for a very fair price and with an amazing driver! Always greeting us with cold towels and water after wandering the temples. The hotel itself was about 5 minutes from the night market and 5 minutes further to pub street - perfectly located in a quiet area but very, very close to all the action. Overall the experience was wonderful and I will definitely suggest this hotel to everyone I know going to Siem Reap!

I stayed for a night before I leave Siem Reap. I was pleased with how warm and welcoming the staffs are. I was warmly welcome by Phillip and Menea. They upgraded my room to suite (maybe because it is my Birthday or I am just lucky that day). The hotel is clean and room is spacious. It has great view of the pool. The pool is superb. I feel like I am in Greece because of tge design of the hotel. You get the value for money. One thing I wish they had is the bidet in the toilet. Other than that, this hotel is the Best in Siem Reap. High performance-to-price ratio”

Front desk service;dining;location

Actually I've stayed lot amounts of hotels, but nothing like Sarai resort and spa impress me so much. The hotel is not very big, but the service is greatly sweet. I think it's a highly recommended hotel due to its high quality to price ratio. The location for the hotel is nearby the old market, a 2 usf dollar can take Tuktuk car every down town I want to go. Especially the front desk boy Mario, he's like a gust of chilling wind into my heart in such hot weather there. He cares for every customer in the hotel and provides the sweetest smile for me.

Serene with wonderful service”

My group of three stayed 3 nights towards the end of October 2016. The hotel is modern in every amenity, and unlike other hotels we passed in Siem Reap, was more Moroccan minimalist in decor than Asian. Service was incredibly smooth, starting with a complementary roomy SUV pickup from the airport to the hotel, where we were greeted with cool towels and a local juice. We had a fantastic terrace room, which had a loft level that we requested a 2nd bed for and a spacious patio with a lounge swing and padded wall seats that was a nice place to get some quiet time. Breakfast was included, and always opened with a selection of local fruit, before we proceeded to select ala carte Asian and Western options, always tastily cooked. The staff was always warm and solicitous, especially the manager, Mr. Sokhon, who made sure to check in with us often. We did book 3 private tours with the hotel, and they gave us a wonderful English speaking guide, Nuth Sophea aka Pierre (Cambodians seem to like to use nicknames - he can be found on Facebook as Stony Sophea), who gave us a great perspective, both ancient and modern, on all the aspects of Angkor Wat, Kamphong Phluk and Beng Melea we toured. His stories of the Cambodian people since the ancient times through the period of the killing fields up to today gave us a rich look at a resilient and warm culture. We toured Thailand thereafter also with private guides, and we felt that Pierre was our top guide in all our venues. We toured in the hotel's nice AC SUV with a really pleasant driver, Bunthong, who always gave us cold towels and iced water bottles after touring our venues in the pretty hot and humid weather. The spa at the hotel was a lovely oasis, as good as the top spas I've encountered in the US and in Europe. Our group had massages and body scrubs, and our consensus was that all of the technicians we had were great. We didn't try the pool, which looked lovely, but would do so if we come back. Pefect Hotel ”

Everything at Sarai is perfect and almost flawless. The place is near to good restaurants. The resort itself is quite unique and very artsy style. Very pretty resort i can say.. and oh the breakfast is perfection.. everything is great.. you should consider this hotel when u plan for a visit to Siem Reap.

most remarkable hotel I have ever stayed”

The pick up was very convenient. All staff were extremely welcoming. The pool view was relaxing and looked exactly the same as what the photos here are showing. The breakfast was of a good variety and high quality. The resident manager would usually chat with us during breakfast. He did give us some good suggestions on our plan. I had also tried the 90min full body Khmer massage at its spa. I didn't check the price of other spa and massage service at the area, but I think Sarai's worths. The cleanliness in room was nice. There would be some mosquitoes near the door some time after clean up, but I guess it was unavoidable in siem reap. The stay was really great and enjoyable.
