Located on the quieter northern side of the island, Sareeraya Villas & Suites Hotel is near the airport as well as the popular Chaweng Beach. The island is easy to navigate - best done on a rented motorcycle - or you can just as easily hop on a tuk-tuk to take you to your next destination. Guests at the hotel can also walk over to the offshore island during low tide when the sand bar becomes navigable. Enjoy fresh seafood and other equally delectable dishes overlooking the beach, or for a more intimate meal, order in your room at any time of the day or night. A whole range of water sports from diving to kayaking are available on the island. For those who wish to remain on land, there are several golf courses, world-class spas, and sports to keep you busy. If you are traveling during the full moon, you shouldn't miss a trip to the nearby island of Koh Phangan, renowned for its full moon parties. Personalized service in exotic surroundings is what Sareeraya Villas & Suites Hotel promises guests.

Excellent Hotel with lovely staff and location”
Picking a hotel in Koh Samui was a tough call but I am really glad we went with Sareeraya. While located on the North part of Chaweng, it is walking distance from the main market yet tucked away enough to have a peaceful stay. The rooms at Sareeraya are one of a kind. I would suggest to book a suite instead of a villa as the view is much better. Service is excellent, with reception, housekeeping and room service all prompt and always friendly. Our stay included breakfast and they had a live eggs, pancakes and waffles counter which was very good. The beach cleaned every morning by the staff so that we always had an immaculately clean stay!!
An amazing hotel with quality staff. The location is a 7 to 10 minute walk from the centre of cheweng strip which was perfect for us. The room service for food was good with a decent menu, and arrived within 20 mins. Mini bar prices were reasonable. The hotel restaurant chefs table was good for lunch and breakfast although not much variety. The evening romantic meal for 2 is not to be missed. It was the best meal of the holiday and we ate in many restaurants in town. We stayed in a villa with private plunge pool which was amazing but I reccomend to request a sea view room, which we did and they gave it to us. The other villas don't have much of a view if you don't get the sea view one. We will definitely be returning next year to this hotel. It was our first time in koh samui and we loved it. Thanks sareeraya!
I found another great Thailand hotel”
we rented the presidential villa. it has a private pool and a private beach area right in front of the room. i travel to thailand several times a year and this place is now on my list as one of my favorites! when i find a great place i tend to come back often....i had considered not writing a review becasue i do not want the room to be booked when i come back, or the price to be higher...but they are doing such a great job with the presidential pool villa at the sareeraya villas and suites hotel that i decided they deserved a thumbs up! btw, when i write a review, i call them as i see them and most hotels are middle of the road...but not this one.
wow!!!!!! perfect everything!”
Top notch hotel! Loved staying at this place. so many things to list on why to stay here. First, when checking in the welcoming staff was great. While our room was being prepared because we arrived early, we had some drink at the pool. The pool was amazing! By far the best pool we had during our entire stay in Samui. Overlooking the ocean, right on the beach and clean. We spent the majority of our time at the pool. When checking into the room, we were amazed at how pretty the room was. The view was PERFECT! Bed comfortable and room cleaned every day and had no worries about anything being lost or taken. The location is great. Just a short walk from the entertainment area but far enough away to just chill. The beach was clean and water was clear with no seaweed. When walking north, the seaweed began to collect on the shoreline. but this wasn't the case for sareeraya villas. to finish here, I would like to say thanks to the staff that worked there. They were wonderful, so helpful and always super nice. We made good friends with the bartender and when leaving took a picture with him. Overall, the place is a 5 star and i highly recommend stay here anytime. Ill be back for sure!
Beautiful Boutique Hotel in great location”
we loved the sareeraya villas. we stayed for 11 nights and had the most wonderful relaxing time. for the first half of our stay we were in a room with a swim up pool. the room was massive and the swim up pool was lovely and convenient. the second half of the holiday was in a jacuzzi room on the 2nd floor. the room was a bit smaller, but we had a nice view. both rooms were really good. the breakfast is the best!! eggs, eggs benedict, pancakes, waffles, crepes etc, etc all cooked to order. the staff are amazing and the location is at the nice end of chaweng beach. there are fantastic and cheap restaurants on the beach about a minutes walk from the hotel. i highly recommend this hotel.
best hotel in koh samui”
this was the tenth time we had been to koh samui but the first time we had stayed at sareeraya hotel we stayed in the outdoor jacuzzi suite it was perfect it was up to an american standard hotel the pool was great breakfast was lovely it is just the perfect place to stay. would highly recomended it to couples probably not for singles. the price is a little bit but well worth it. only a small 5 minute walk to the centre of the action
Awesome hotel, facilities, location and service”
It was indeed a memorable stay despite the constant rain. My partner and me were impressed by the service extended and of course the room was just amazing. It was huge, comfortable and we had a private jacuzzi area with things like bath salt to go along. It was fully equipped for travelers as they had items like umbrella, hats, beach bags, beach slippers and even had a huge selection of DVDs for us to choose from. It allowed us to be entertained despite the rain. My partner and myself walked down the entire stretch of Chaweng beach and we still think Sareeraya is the best in that stretch. Should we go back to Samui again, this will be the hotel of choice without a doubt.
We stayed at the Sareeraya for 7 nights for our honeymoon and loved it! The location was perfect - the hotel was situated at the quieter end of Chaweng beach away from the hustle and bustle but not too far to walk to the main strip. Our room was lovely and we got good use out of the jacuzzi. The breakfast included in our package offered a wide variety of choices (american breakfast, thai food, pastries etc) it was delicious. We ate dinner in the hotel for the first two nights, it was quite pricey so we ventured out and ate on the beach near by or on the main strip. The hotel staff were very friendly and ensured that all our needs were met. We had a fantastic time at Sareeraya and will definitely come back.
Sareeraya Honeymoon Hotel 7-19 April 2010”
Sareeraya is a wonderful hotel with very friendly & helpful staff throughout. The main problem is the beach outside with brown, seaweedy stagnant water trapped in an esturary. Just 800m to the south along the beach is perfect swimming water with a 'proper' sand beach leading into moving water. To walk there every day just to swim is rather annoying. (The hotel staff do try to clear some of the seaweed each day, but they are fighting a loosing battle due to the location of the hotel.) We were staying as part of our honeymoon & had an absolutely fabulous time. April is the hottest month of the year (& very humid) & walking into town each evening caused significant perspiration - and required a beer to cool down! The staff of the hotel and the standards of the room (particularly bathroom) are the greatest asset of the hotel. This would be a reason to return. The hotel offers a good standard of food & themed evenings. However, the price of the evenings & food / drink in the Sareeraya is expensive - especially when compared to surrounding bars & restaurants. I would advise people to try the food there, but to sample the delights from other restaurants along the beach which are significantly cheaper, but still having a high standard of food. In summary: Hotel & staff - wonderful. Price of food / drink - expensive. Beach - awful.
Very romantic place for couples”
I am absolute totally like this hotel . I and my wife will come back again. Thank U for the warm welcome with the flowers and ginger tea .I like the decoration of the room , the pool , the food , the romantic and authetic of this hotel . I love U Sareeraya villas & suites Hotel
Highly Professional Hotel - Great Value”
I have stayed with my family (myself, hubby, 4 year old and 6 month old) in Sareeraya for 10 days. The suites with jacuzzi are very lovely, lots of space. Baby cot was provided and my 4 year old was using the room sofa. The room had all the necessary facilities to make you feel comfortable. There is strong rainshower and a bathtub. Lots of place to store your things - closet, drawers. The stuff is highly professional with good english and great attitute. Every issue was solved promptly without hesitation. The infinity pool is fantastic. It may seem rather small in the pictures, but it is quite large and is enough even for a good exercise swim. The sunbeds inside the infinity pool are the best! They are so comfortable and the location of the chairs is perfect. You have the infinity view, the pool bar is right there and there is a constant sound of waterfall. And let's not forget the gorgeous palm trees. Amazing experience. Breakfast buffet is nice with the omlette counter where they make all kind of other things like waffles (with icecream), pancakes with banana french toasts etc. Everything is very tasty. You can request regular coffee or ask for capucino or latte free of charge. Being with two kids, expecially with 6 month old, I felt very welcomed and the stuff always smiled and tried to help as much as possible. We used the babysitting services once for the total of 4 hours. The babysitter name is Ann and she was very lovely. Took a good care of the kids :) The hotel lacks night entertainment. I wish they had a bit more of music, live band and maybe even a bit of dancing. On the other hand, the location of the hotel cannot be better. You are right in the heart of the main street. 2 minutes walk and you have all the entertainment possible - restaurants, laundry 40 baht per 1 kg, bars and disco clubs. Whatever your heart desires. Overall, a great hotel
Great resort - great staff”
It's not often I eat at a hotel I stay at, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food I had at Sareeraya. We had dinner on teh beach, and ate at the hotel restaurant a few times, and I must say that the cuisine was of the highest standards I have come across in Thailand. We loved the location of Sareeraya, being right on the beach. Every morning you would see the staff preparing the beach area ready for guests to enjoy a hassle free day of relaxation. The rooms were just right, and we were fortunate enough to enjoy an upgrade to one of the villas for our last 4 nights there - and that was just superb. All in all a great experience, and would strongly recommend this hotel to couples and families.
A wonderful stay”
We stayed at a suite [i.e. room rather than villa] the Sareeraya for 13 days with our 1yr old daughter and we had a wonderful time. The hotel is very quiet and has an intimate almost family feel about it. I had been a little worried about the proximity to the airport previous to arriving, but that proved to be no issue at all, you can hardly hear the planes. Further down the Chaweng beach this can however be a little disturbing (for example at The Library) The staff is very friendly and the Thai people love babies so we got plenty of extra support and attention. The hotel provided a baby cot with mosquito net at no extra charge and there was a high chair in the restaurant. There was also plenty of toys for use around the beach and the pool. It is very difficult to get around Chaweng with a baby buggy and after a few times we gave up and carried her. If your child is small enough for a Baby Bjorn that is the way to go here. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and were happy with our choice of accomodation. The reputable Amari resort is just 50m further along the beach but we were very happy not to have stayed there as it definitely seemed to have more of a "big tourist complex" feel about it - more facilities but many more tourists too...
Couldn't have been better!”
We loved our stay at Sareeraya! We could not fault the hotel at all. The room was beautiful, with amazing beach views, and the bathroom having a large window so you can still see the beach view whilst having a bath! The decor of the hotel had a javanese feel to it, which was nice. Nearly all the staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast each morning had such an extensive variety, and the quality was there! Really looked forward to the breakfast every day we woke up. The pool was nice, with a bar built into the pool, which we enjoyed a few times! The beach at the back of the hotel was maintained daily by the staff, and was clean. Chaweng beach itself has soft white sand, and the water was clean enough. Looovveddd this hotel, and before leaving was already talking about coming back!
beautiful hotell.. saved our holiday”
Special thanks to the Sareeraya.. we had originally booked at the Imperial hotel, and were so disappointed/annoyed at service, we walked away from our 6night booking, and changed hotel to Sareeraya. They changed our hotel and turned it into a happy beautiful experience. Highly recommend.. great location! I'll definitely be returning, and will only stay there! We loved it so much.. we returned to stay longer after our Koh Tao trip.
fantastic hotel... highly recommend”
we loved our stay so much, we changed our holiday plans to return and stay again later. staff very friendly, the rooms were beautiful... new facilities. We'll be returning definitely.. highly recommend... if your going to Koh Samui, stay here! We plan to return in 2012. Thanks Sareeraya for a beautiful holiday experience.
Will not regret going to Sareeraya”
This hotel is located in the quiet side of Chaweng beach. We went with our 1year old baby in the end of November and the weather was good - it did not rain for the 4 days we were there. We had a cot FOC, 2 sun hats, 1 straw bag, complimentary fruits basket with bananas and thai orange. We love the views from the 3 floor and the outdoor jacuzzi. The bathroom had a glass wall with curtains for privacy, and we love the overhead shower. They also had complimentary toys for small children at the poolside/beach front. They thai people really love children, and will play with our baby. Food at the hotel restaurant - Chef's Table - was good compared to most of the other restaurants/cafes along Chaweng beach road. We saw a few negative comments on this hotel but my own experience was very very enjoyable. We're glad we went in Nov due to the low peak season and its not crowded anywhere in Chaweng at all. But Ko Samui has more mosquitoes compared to Phuket. Go armed with mozzies repellant or patches.
this is absolutley the best hotel i have ever stayed in. the location is perfect, its right on the beach were the sand is powder white and the sea is turquoise and as still as a pond. it is luxury and tranquility itself, however, just a 5 minute walk down the road and you are in the party zone!!! so, you can be in or out of it as your choice!. the room, well, we stayed in a suite with jacuzzi and it was magnificent. biggest bathroom ive ever stayed in. we ate twice in the restaurant and had 2 lunches and the food was to die for. we should only have stayed at the sareeraya for 4 nights and then moved onto another hotel on another part of the island but it was that nice we couldnt bear to leave so extended our stay for the full lenght of our 10 day holiday. we need to say that all the staff couldnt do enough for us from the lads round the pool putting towels on the beds to the waiters to the reception staff who heldped us check in on line. but a big thankyou to 'a' who was just the most lovely man ever.
Incredible lovely hotel at beach front”
Our couple were have really great time at Samui, because incedible villa with lovely private pool, stunning beach front, awesome firework and show on new year eve ever! We totally fail in love with other more at Samui and Sareeraya. Thanks for freindly and helpful staff. We will come back if we have a chance again.
Paradise - this place has it all.”
Our 3 nights in the Sareeraya were perfect. Service was exceptional - all staff had a genuine interest in ensuring out stay was flawless, you only had to glance their way and they were willing to assist however they could. Breakfast was fantastic with a wide array of eggs and pastries which were made to order, as well as the usual buffet that was overflowing with options. The quality of the returant food was exceptional - we without a doubt had the best meal of our trip here, and experienced the beach bbq which was breathtaking and delicious and a must do. Rooms and bed was HUGE and pool access and view of the beach it was brilliant. Complimentary fruit and water each day. Beautiful pool with pool bar with large selction of drinks and cocktails overlooking to beach. Opposite one of Samuis hospitals, 10mins from airport and a short 5-10 minute walk to the main shopping and restuarant area.
