Not as good as expected, basically disappointed ”
The boutique was not as good as we expected it at all. We were pretty much disappointed. Booked the superior room for a night on Agoda which, from the photos, seemed pretty big and nice to stay. When we went in the room, it was pretty small and not as big as shown in the Agoda Advertising photos. There were yellow stain dots on the bed, and lots of black scruff marks on the walls. It just wasn't clean and luxurious as it seemed in the pictures. The bathroom and the shower are just too tight with the toilet and everything stuffed in there. Plus, the volume of water was a joke. My boyfriend and I put it on max, pathetically, the water was barely running out. Unbelievable. As for the value of money, it showed about a 1000 THB. However, when we payed, it turns out to be about 800 THB which was good. Because it sure aint worth a 1000 THB. I stayed at another accommodation before in Chiang Mai, and that place was about a 1000 THB / per night, which was a way better facility, cleanliness, staff/customer service, and value of money. Everything 10 times better compared to this. So yea, that's basically my review and opinion about this boutique.

Expensive for what you get”
Searched for a place with a pool and was willing to spend a bit extra and landed on this place. The pool was more like a fountain and I only ended up dipping my feet, it didn't appear very clean. The room was a lot smaller than expected and smelt like mildew. The shower was right on top of the toilet and only 3 prongs of the shower head were spraying, good power, poor spread. The nature of the shower made everything in the bathroom soaked, this doesn't appear to be a new issue as the walls and floors had mold in/on them. Interesting decor, but I found it crowded the small space even more. They provides snacks and drinks in the room, but at a fee. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they let me keep my bag with them for the day as I had a flight later in the night. Actually 24/7 at the desk. An okay place, over priced for what you get, dont expect higher class because of the price tag.

Shower hardly working”
Worst shower I have ever experienced, basically no water coming out of the shower head. Not really clean either. The staff was polite, but not service minded.

room was very small and light shined in through the flimsy drapes. when I entitled this to the guy at desk he said that's what he liked so that's the way it is. hotel like this for the price usually gives you two bottles of water a day complimentary- when I showed up at the hotel, I asked for a drink of water and he offered to sell me a 5 baht bottle of water for 40 baht. breakfast is mediocre. just overall a vibe of stingyness. a lot better value can be found. would not return.

Quaint and simple”
The Sathu was really quite lovely in a boutique way. The bathroom was typical - shower/toilet together, and the rooms were clean and quaint. I did not get the 'breakfast included' even thought I purchased it- it seems to be a glitch when booking online. Make sure it's on there before u do the final confirm. However the breakfast was terrible, so maybe not!! Also, don't be fooled - the pool was a small square with no chairs/space to lie down. It was basically there for looks The staff was accommodating when I needed extra toiletries, a ride, etc. the area was nice and quiet which was nice.

Horrible Place - checked out immediately”
Nothing good to say about this place. Requested to be picked up from the airport. they didnt turn up and didnt advise either. The most awful thing being the shower/toilet. Literally on top of each other. It is dirty, smells bad. i checked out immediately. off course they didnt refund a single cent.

Dissappointing ”
Hotel is well located. However, staff is not very welcoming and kinda made us feel like a burden. Breakfast is included but little did we know they charged for an extra coffee and for the water provided in our rooms! This was a first for us in Thailand!! Walls are very thin and if you are located next to the pool, beware of people who are swimming at night. Water will be splashing in your windrow. Rooms are ok but have a very musty smell and are quite humid.

Good location, nice manager but TERRIBLE room!”
Pros: great location, very close to night markets and easy to get around everywhere. Owner/front manager was also very happy and always wearing a big smile/willing to help us out. Cons: Our room was a disaster!!! The bed was extremely hard - like sleeping on a rock. There was visible mould everywhere and a horrible smell from the mould filling the room - I think this was due to the bathroom having poor ventilation and the whole room itself not getting much natural sunlight (very dark and depressing). The pool didn't get any sunlight either which was a shame - the photos are all very misleading for this place be warned! Didn't try the food at the hotel so can't comment on that - great resteraunts in nearby streets though. Overall, we stayed for 4 nights and by the end we were dying to get out of the room! Although the manager was nice and location was great, for the price we paid we expected something A LOT better and were dissapointed.
