Experience Johannesburg differently”
Incredible place. Amazing experience. Don't think twice about staying there if you're in Johannesburg, you won't regret it! Staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast was good though they could add a bit more to it. Rooms are clean and beautiful. The museum/historical part of the house is very well put together. Overall I absolutely recommend it!!

wonderful stay made me want to come back to JoBurg”
Quality of service, quietness of the location, unique character of this guest house / museum
The Staff at Satyagraha House made my stay very special, feeling like at home, part of their "family". They did an amazing job recreating the atmosphere from the house of Gandhi, pure, simple, inspiring, peaceful. I will come back to Johannesburg to stay there again and explore more the city.

Rare opportunity for a unique experience in life”
History of greatness--to live where Gandhi lived, Serene beautiful surroundings--to experience the silence and spiritual retreat, Have a wonderful, attentive staff cater to your needs
This is not a "hotel" but a guest house that is part of the museum--where Gandhi spent five years of his life, where Satyagraha was born--The power of Satyagraha to resist oppressors like the S.A. government, or to overthrow the British Empire is immense. One can understand how it might have gained force here, under the peaceful surroundings and beautiful gardens. The experience is well worth the expense and should be sought out by anyone who wants to live a piece of history during their stay in this historic city.
