Difficult to locate at first, tuk tuk drivers very confused. Perfect when found. Ideal for the relaxed time planned, very pleasant stay, a bit from town and main places but the resort makes up for it

don't stay here”
we left after one night despite having prepaid for three nights. awful place.
Don't stay here if you're a western tourist. The staff don't speak English, the "resort" (what a joke) is miles from anywhere and if you want to leave it takes 40 mins for a taxi to arrive. The staff hang their clothes around the gardens to dry, the curtains were shredded to bits, the doors to the room didn't close properly (mosquito's), they didn't turn the pool pump on for us so the pool water was suspiciously stagnant. Who wants to get into a "resort" (again, what a joke) pool that doesn't have water pumping around in it? Hello health hazard. I feel pretty angry for recommending this hotel. It was truly terrible.
But then again, maybe I should blame myself for booking a "resort" that did not have a single English review. Shame on me?
We paid for three nights but left after one awful night ... oh yes. I almost forgot the sounds of rodents scuttling across our room's tin roof that they told us were lizards. Sure. Lizards. Yeah right.
Basically as soon as we arrived and saw how this place was we ordered a taxi (40 mins later), went into town and booked another hotel closer to the action. We arranged for a tuk tuk driver to pick us up the next morning because we were so frustrated and distrustful of the staff at this place, we didn't want another single thing to do with them. We left early the next morning, dropped the keys off as nobody was around, didn't even bother to ask for a refund. We could not get out of there quick enough. Only then could we enjoy Chiang Mai.

Bar en bar en bar slecht”
het oogt mooi, that's it
