A Must-Visit Green Sanctuary! ”
Highly recommend. I’ll certainly return! Amazing view of rice fields, tasteful decoration, friendly & capable staffs with smiles, provides mineral water to refill my drinking bottle (critical to reduce single plastic use), tasty dishes and Arak cocktails, great massage. Initially, the room given to me didn’t look like the one I booked. The room was brand new, but I specially booked for the antique-looking room. The receptionist tried her best to find one. When she couldn’t find one, she offered a significant discount, which I appreciated, but unnecesary. In the end, she managed to find the room I was exactly looking for. I’m grateful for her effort. No water kettle in the room, but they’ll provide if you ask.
Lovely place, great view and garden. The infinity pool is super nice. Room is very clean and cute. I had my own porch. Personnel really friendly. I loved the area as it is not as touristic as most of the areas in Bali. There are openings in the room (windows and doors) so You may have for instance a frog as roommate for the night. You do have a big mosquito net so didn’t matter to me. Nice breakfast looking over the rice fields. You can book nice activities at the hotel, have your laundry done or rent a scooter to explore the rice fields. I would recommend the hotel to make it possible for guest to refill there (glass) bottle instead of providing the rooms with two bottles every dAy to reduce the amount of waste. As in this area there unfortunately is no waste management system yet and you’ll find plastic everywhere (only downside of this area) Overall had an amazing stay.
I love this place”
My third time here. If you like to feel surrounded by nature with gorgeous gardens and lovely staff, then this place is perfect. If you don't like geckos in your room, frogs in your bathroom...then maybe not for you. They put aircon in the budget room since my last visit but were able to find me a fan which I prefer. Wifi has got better. Staff utterly charming. Love it.
Fabulous room and views!”
This hotel is just beautiful in a fabulous location with great views. We stayed in a family room which had three bedrooms and large balconies. It also had a private fishpond walkway to the infinity pool! The beds were super comfortable and the outdoor bathroom was a special addition. The rooms were too hot as they only have fans (the smaller bedroom had nothing), but the fans are over the beds which have mosquito nets, so don't work well. Also, if you don't like bugs - beware, as there are intentional open designs in the brick work. These look beautiful, but of course offer no protection to insects entering the room - we probably had around 40 bugs crawling around the floor. The pool and gardens are great and the breakfast really good.
SIMPLY OUTSTANDING!!! ”
Oh where to even begin! I booked a One Bedroom Cottage (Cottage #V2) and was blown away. The cottage is extremely spacious, clean, stylish, and enjoys spectacular views over the countryside from the large, covered terrace. The staff were incredibly kind and thoughtful and went out of their way numerous times to ensure that I was comfortable and happy. Excellent WiFi signal (which is VERY important to me and sometimes a rarity in Bali), gorgeous swimming pool, on-site yoga, and on-site spa offering various treatments & massages. Room service was available to the Cottage (for those lazy evenings in) and the on-site restaurant was beautiful & food very good. What I liked most about this hotel is that while “in the middle of nowhere”, their prices were extremely reasonable. Unlike other hotels I’ve been to, they do not gauge the Guests because they can and instead price everything from food, to wine, to spa services in a manner that ensures excellent value and happy guests.
What a beautiful place Sideman is. So quiet and serene. Sawah Indah was fabulous especially the pool. The staff were incredibly helpful and MustI particularly friendly and polite. Food was good to with lots of choice and such great value for money!
This property, though on land that was previously a rice field, was developed with care and integrity to the surroundings. This is critical to ensure this valley remains what it is - a stunning and at risk fertile zone in Bali. Each room is unique and special.. It is not over built as some of the new properties sadly are. The staff and management are fantastic.
good hotel in a tranquil area”
First of all, we love the hotel and the area. It is a good place to stay and tranquil yourself from everything else. The view of the mountain, ricefield, sunshine. What else do you want for a holiday. Moreover, the natural sounds from the frogs, flowing water makes you relax at night. There are activities to make you moving: walking in the rice terrace, yoga, and for more further exploration you could go to tirta gangga or virgin beach. It took around one hour from sidemen, the beach is very worth it. But if you wanna drink coconut, you should bargain max is IDR 15,000 , not more than that.(insider tips) The surrounding of the hotel is very quiet and not many restaurant. For lunch, I reccomend to go to organic cafe, the food is okay but the view is spectacular. It is around 10 minutes drive. The breakfast is okay, they have asian and western menu. For lunch and dinner, we try the ribs , fried rice, corn fritter. The ribs is okay but for the price , its still fantastic. After a long day, the beer/wine could help to end the day while sitting in your private balcony looking at the mountain and green ricefield (depending on the months), we are lucky that everything is so green. The environment of the hotel is very nice, they put a positive remarks near the pathway. I do not know about others, but we as a family after reading these motivational quote make our day more positives. Details! What we think that the hotel could improve on: - Not all the room have a phone. This could be troublesome for the guest to call for room service. Especially if they do not have a local number to call the hotel or during rainy season. - As the concept of the hotel , I guess is, living in natural environment, I think a window string to cover up windows would be necessary. Even the bed have net covering the whole bed, the insects are a lot especially if you turn on the lights as they attracts many insects to flying around the lights eventually going in to the room. For now, insect re
It was definitely the best hotel of our trip!!! Peaceful and isolated in the middle of rice fields. Lot of animal noises at night, but for us it was absolutely not an issue. Beautiful hotel and beautiful view at the swimming pool (dont miss the sunrise!). Very nice and helpful staff. Clean and good room. Chicken satay and banana split at the restaurant are amazing. Breakfast was very good (choice between Indonesian and western). Only regret: we didn't stay one more night to try the massages and yoga classes.
Peaceful country retreat”
This was our second stay at sawah indah welove the views the staff and the large rooms two bedroom two bathroom family room is real value for money we stay here for a few days to get away from the bustle of Legian
if the hustle and bustle of Ubud is too much then Sidemen is the spot. I stayed here 5 nights..lovely..local staff..excellent breakfast and afternoon coffee/tea. The gardens and pool are fantastic and run seamlessly into fields of vegetables. Wonderfu biodiversity..butterflies..bugs..the biggest spider. Quite a lot come into the room..but not one spider..few mossies..and you have a net. I was in the budget room..just great. Room 9..the teak "garden shed"..was very pretty but you could hear the staff talking and the bathroom was just a bit too public so I moved. Yes..highly recommended.
Best Breakfast, Hotel, Views in Bali - We Stayed Longer”
The Standard room was small for family with two kids 6 & 7 but we managed fine and the hotel and views more than made up for it - we upgraded to bigger room for our extended stay! Highly recommended! Best Breakfast around. We checked all the other hotels in area and this one is definitely the best option Based on space! Gardens! Views! Food Quality! Services! Staff! Massage! Swimming Pool!
Perfect Little Gem”
My partner an I stayed here in October of 2016. It was our honeymoon and we wanted a quiet place to relax. Sawah Indah was perfect. We stayed in the bigger suite which had its own deck overlooking the garden. No AC but the fans kept us cool enough at night. The pool and restaurant are excellent. Sideman is a sleepy little town dominated by rice paddies and small holdings. There is not much to do besides walk around soaking up the scenery so if you need nightlife I'd give it a miss.
Really nice little hotel with wonderful views. Nice pool, and well decorated rooms. Pleasantly surprised by the restaurant food as sometimes its hit and miss with these secluded hotels. Would stay again!
Value for money”
The hotel is very good value for money, with friendly staff. Facilities (besides the pool) are very basic but should be expected for the price. For example, there isn't even a reception counter, which was still under construction as of Jan 2014. The only other issue is with the noise from frogs croaking at night (in the small ponds next to rooms on the ground floor), so you might like to bring some ear plugs!
Just a wonderful and inspiring stay!”
We stayed there three nights and had such a great and clean room. The stuff is always kind and friendly. We loved the breakfast and dinner there. Not too much to choose but definetly enough! The Location is just amazing and the decoration of the garden and the rooms-wonderful! We would came back in a few years when we will visit Bali again!
The place to be”
This was a great place with very nice personnel. We got a cookingclass and massage, all great. Nice view from the pool. Everything was perfect, we were sad to leave. It is so good that you need to book in time, to be sure to have a room.
Great location and the pool was very nice. We had some massages and they were very nice. The only downside was one of the staff members, the morning reception staff - We found him very blunt and not helpful. However the rest of the staff were very nice and always willing to help.
Very nice place for relax, joga with beautiffull nature
photos don't do this place justice. simply stunning; cannot fault it!
