The room was large and comfortable. The hot spring in the room and the private patio/garden made for comfortable evenings -- pick up a couple "Better Beer" brews to bring back to the room and relax. The grounds were lovely and the chocolate, quite good!

Deluxe Family - Spacious but No View”

Had booked a deluxe family room and expected good view only to find that the deluxe family room is situated on the 2nd level of the main building, totally different from the normal family room with is situated on the ground floor facing the strawberries farm. Was quite disappointed as we had booked this room assuming that it'll come with a living rooms like the pic provided... and since it's more expensive , we have expected better views. The room is made up of 2 levels, with a super king sized bed on each level.... very spacious & Clean The bathroom on the lower level comes with a very spacious SPA bathtub. Bathroom on the top level comes with a very tiny toilet, with no bath area. Breakfast a simple buffet spread.... Kiddo had a great time feeding the fishes, ducks and swans...and picking the strawberries from the farm just beside the accom, not to mention the Choc DIY.. Overall, quite a comfortable stay.... however...will recommend the normal family room over the deluxe for the price.

F&E Family Tour in Taiwan”

Enjoyed the peace & quietness of this B&B. It is actually quiet a distance away from the shops & stores so if you do not drive, it can be quite inconvenience. Not much choices for food and breakfast. We saw that other guests who booked directly with resort are given complimentary dinner & DIY chocolate session apart from the usual breakfast. It was good that our family room was on L2 so our balcony was facing the fields. We will not come back again as I think a day trip visit is good enough.

We stayed here 3 nights in early March and were overall impressed. Our young children enjoyed making their own chocolate, feeding the fish and black swans at their pond and picking strawberries at a farm behind the resort. Breakfast (included) is western style (sandwiches, pizza, eggs w/ chicken drums etc). They all come with salad and sliced fruits. You don't get to select what to eat but they're all delicious with good portions. We had afternoon tea and dinner there and both were good, although a bit expensive by Taiwan standards. Our 4-person room was surprisingly spacious, new and clean. Bottled water and chocolate were resupplied every day. One time they even folded our clothes that were lying around. I only wished that some of the younger staff, especially the food servers, were friendlier to their customers. In summary, we've enjoyed our stay and would recommend this resort.

Breakfast is fantastic. Can do some simple activities in the resort like chocolate making etc. Kids love the place very much especially it was surrounded with strawberry farm. May not be suitable for older travellers as u need to climb the stairs to reach your room. Inside the room also need to climb up the stairs to reach your bed.

Comfortable getaway resort”

Beautiful resort with comfortable room and private bath. Located very far from any attraction, and at least 15-20min work from room to the nearest mini-mart or any food options at all. No Wi-Fi provided.

Excellent”

Spacious and neatly maintained. We had a 2-person bedroom. The bed was huge enough for a family of four. The outdoor tub was the highlight of the stay. Remember to bring your hot spring bath salt when you visit. Suggest dimmer bathroom lightening. Cindy

the hotel clearly did not train service staff very well .. can't trust customer services staff at all .. 1. wrong directions in recommendation for strawberry farms opened for plucking 2. attitude of staff overall standard poor 3. recommended to take bus instead of taxi to hsr but timing checked was not correct resulted to almost missing the bus . in addition did not tell us must carry the heavy luggage up the big n narrow walkway bus ... bought a lot of chocolates though. .. ..

先講優點：環境清幽、空間寬敞、巧克力很美味。 缺點：不夠精緻，不夠乾淨，服務人手不足。 雲莊的部分，可能有想要打造一個主題景點、類似北海道的白色戀人工廠。 建築物也是那種童話城堡風格，有巧克力故事館、主題餐廳、DIY等等...... 不過不夠豐富不夠精彩也沒有太用心維護。 咖啡館人手不足。 我們到訪時時星期五，除了得不到服務（大概站在那邊五分鐘都沒人會理你）跟等很久之外，就看到那幾位可憐的員工忙得跟無頭蒼蠅一樣都快忙昏了。 餐點很不錯，熱可可非常香濃不過甜、草莓超多又新鮮、巧克力蛋糕也很高水準。 民宿的部分 （我住四人房型床在二樓） 房間很寬敞，但有歲月感。 Check in 時房卡就不是太靈光，晚上要回房時一度開不了門試了七八次才開。 一開門就有舊房子的味道跟潮濕味。 有些櫥櫃有薄薄的灰塵，打掃不是很仔細。 浴缸很大是可以全家一起泡澡的。 不過淋浴的水會一下很燙一下又很冷。浴室水垢很明顯。 樓中樓床在樓上全家一起睡，小孩很喜歡。 床跟被子還算舒服。 不過隔音很差。 總結我認為來大湖可以來吃一下巧克力，但民宿不推薦。
