Exceptional”
I've been living in Vietnam for over 10 years, and I wasn't expecting much as there are many properties with dubious photos and reviews in Vung Tau; but I got happy to see the hotel was nice and neat, with a great view to a local Pagoda from our balcony; staff was super helpful and was easy to get a VAT invoice too. I would recommend it, location is great too in the quiet area of Bai Dau

Best for photo”
The location is quite far from the city center which is also a plus as you have more privacy and quiet. The hotel has 3 great views, one for the ocean, one for the pagoda, and one for the pool with the confetti. The room itself is a decent size with old traditional decor. The staff is quite friendly. Most of the time you will feel you have your own place. Highly recommend if you wanna feel different vibe f

Very good”
I recommend this with some qualifications and reservations. Our visit was not without its problems and we will not return. For starters, the pin on Google Maps is not in the right place and it took quite a bit longer than anticipated to find it. I took a shower when I arrived and the towel ripped/fell apart (the hotel quickly replaced it). Karaoke-type music being played loudly through the hotel sound system was not to my taste (and a reason why I won't return), and then the breakfast buffet was pretty much gone by 9am (supposed to be open to 9:30am). I didn't find the value for the price paid was particularly good, but nor is it a bad hotel. For others this may be a good experience.

Payment is not convenient ”
Hotel does not accept credit card which is weird. It is not convenient for guests at all.

It possibly could be much better”
I've been here a few times before since it still owned by the previous owners and it used to be one of my most favorite place to stay in Vung Tau. But since the new owner came, it was changing rapidly in decoration and the way they do the service as well. They built the new restaurant + karaoke which you can even here the noise when stayin in the room. The staff was not as friendly as I used to know. Back to this trip, it was my very quick trip so I just book the place that I stayed but in a bungalow which I've never tried at this resort before. When I arrived, it was around midnight, I know it was a bit late but there was no one but a security guard who was sleeping outside. I was told that this place is under maintenance (again?) and the bungalow area is 300m away. And following his instruction, I came at the bungalow to which the reception locked the gate and sleeping too. The bungalow has nothing, no minibar, no snacks etc. And it's not as clean.

Terrible”
The room was adequate but not modern. The location is not good - no good views. We thought it's be ok until... we tried to order some drinks but that seemed to difficult for the staff. We then went to the pool to relax but the pool water was green... it was disgusting!! After this we checked out immediately and went to another Hotel. I would never book this place again.

Decent place, pricy for weekend stay”
First I must disclaim that we often stay in 4-5 star resorts so our review can be a little harsh. The hotel is probably around 5-6 years old. Not everything is in perfect condition, but overall it was good. We stayed in the Luxury room, the highest grade based on the staff's advice. The room was good, the air-conditioner was working well, staffs were very nice. The location is a bit off, you can see the beach but cant walk over because the hotel is on a high ground. You will have to travel around 5-10mins to a public beach. There is a small swimming pool in the compound though, but we didnt you it. Breakfast is probably the thing that the hotel needs to improve the most. We came up for breakfast at around 9am, all of the self serving food were cold. The only thing warm was the soupy noodle, which must be prepared and served hot by a staff. For a US$80/night room, I would expect it to be significantly better. But I guess food is always the hardest part of a hotel operation. Overall, I think hotels in Vung Tau are too expensive. it could be because they cant really sell it during weekdays and hence have to hike the price up during weekend. If you are to travel to Vung Tau, book early and you may get a fairer value. That said, Valley Mountain is a good place to stay

Nice quiet location with clean air.”
valley mountain is in a very quiet part of vung tau (mulberry beach) with low key resort restaurants and scrappy beach nearby. very freindly and helpful staff and comfortable modern rooms. view from the breakfast terrace on the roof is the best in the hotel. well appointed rooms, small balconies (ours without sea view), small gym and great pool. all in all a very pleasant surprise after the hustle of touristy vung tau. taxis not easy to find around the hotel so have them phone for one. just a pleasant 30 min walk into town if you are in the mood.

A lovely hotel with a very good customer service”
Being at Vung tau many times so I want to find a new thing here and lucky me, I found this hotel via Agoda. I got the high impression when saw the photos on web, so I want to try a different place in stead of leave next to beach as usually. And I do not feel regret about my dicision. We had a great time and enjoy so much when being at Valley Mountain Hotel. When I back home and post photos which taken here, my friends are jealous with me and keep asking where is it all the time. We will come back soon.

Wonderful hotel with a nice pool”
Valley Mountain hotel is located in Vung Tau at Mulberry beach. It is set away from the hustle and bustle and is a lovely quiet setting. It is set back from the road closer to the mountains. Most room have a balcony and the rooms are spacious and clean. The pool was lovely and a nice respite from the city and touring around. There are two really great seafood restaurants with n walking distance or they had tandem bikes that were possible to use for free. They helped us to rent a scooter which was only $7 a day, much cheaper than elsewhere. I would stay here again.

New experience staying in VungTau but small rooms”
We booked Deluxe A room but it's rather small so we changed to Studio Room with extra , for me Vung Tau hotel and resort seems at unreasonable cost. Buffet breakfast is only available on Sunday morning and very delicious. From the roof top restaurant (on 5th floor) you can take a panorama sea view. The beach is near the hotel, just around 3 to 5 minutes walk, but look not so clean so we spent most of the time at charming and neat outdoor pool. There is a gym room on the 1st floor with great pool view, we spent few happy hours here.Hotel staffs are very helpful at any service offers. We really have a 2 memorable nights at this hotel but I will consider not return due to its uncompetitive price.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff ”
This is a great hotel in a peaceful location away from the centre of Vung Tau. There are superb sea views and the staff are very friendly. Slightly limited choice at breakfast but everything was of very good quality. Swimming pool is clean and big enough to swim properly.

Pleasant, quiet and very close to nicerestaurants”
We wanted to get out of Vung Tau centre as our previous hotel was very noisy, and there were more rats than cockroaches. This hotel is very near to Bai Dau (pronounced By YOW!), 2 very big seafood restaurants (Ganh hoa and Cay May) and a lovely bar The Haven. Still only 65K VND in taxi into town. Hotel has a nice pool, is quiet and clean, pool tables and table football, bar and restaurant. Well worth it I say.

A beautiful setting ”
I've been to vung tau many times, but always staying closer to the beach resort area. This time, I was looking for more fresh air, rather than beach view, and I found it at this hotel. A nice quiet place for those that want to be surrounded by trees and drive a little on the open roads to get to the beach. Still, a nice ocean view from another side of the hotel for those looking for that. Nice and simple rooftop restaurant too.

A most enjoyable weekend”
I could not fault this hotel at all. The attention to detail was superb, and it was a lovely quiet hotel, off the main roadside. The setting was lovely and staff were always working to maintain the inside and outside of the hotel. Breakfast was inclusive and there ws a huge range of western and asian food and we were treated like royalty. The hotel is not in the major part of the city, but to me, this was an dvantage and it was close to the attractions Vung Tau is famous for. Should i trvel to Vung Tau again, I would definately stay here again. A suggestion: soap dishes in the shower would be useful.

Nice hotel at seaside”
This hotel is about 2 km away from Vung Tau city, paid 50,000 VND for a taxi ride. Very disappointed when the hotel staff gave us a deluxe room with an extra bed but we booked and already paid for a family standard room with two queen beds. The lady staff at the counter said the hotel is changing the owner, the hotel name will be changed to "SEA MOUNTAIN HOTEL" started from 1st of June. There is one building of hotel under renovation, therefore we were given a deluxe room instead of family standard room. Anyway the lady staff at counter was very helpful, she could speak in simple English, she gave us a guide about the famous spots at Vung Tau. Hotel is very near to the area of "Front beach", 100 m walk from hotel, across the road, can reach the "Pineapple beach",but the beach was quite dirty, we have to take taxi and pay about 75,000 VND, went to a more beautiful beach, called "Back beach",the beach was beautiful and more local people were swimming there. Nearby there is a famous tourist spot," Jesus statue" on the top of a hill,we have to walk about 500 m to reach the top area.

Relaxing & very pretty hotel”
This hotel is an excellent choice for those who want a quiet, relaxing stay in the busy Vung Tau. We were greeted with delicious icecreams, breakfast was yummy at rooftop restaurant, infinity pool was very clean and taken care of. At weekend it got busier there were quite a few kids screaming, but by dinner time they have gone away. The game room with fussball table & pool table were awesome. They also have bicycles for guests' use. I think this is the best and prettiest hotel I've stayed in Vung Tau. A bit far from the beach but Vung Tau beaches are not that pretty anyway.
