Little piece of paradise”
Sea sand sun is a fantastic little beach bungalow resort. The beach is 5 metres from the closest bungalow and not hidden behind a bar, sun loungers or restaurants like some resorts on the same beach. The rooms are clean and functional, with a decent size bathroom. Great value for money, although I will see we stayed in low season, although the prices are still comparable in high season. Location is also good, it's a 5-10 minute walk to the many shops and restaurants on the road that runs parallel with the beach. The swimming pool is also nice, and a bit bigger than the other ones we saw on khlong khong beach. The best thing about this hotel is the staff, they literally couldn't do enough for us during our near 2 week stay, from providing umbrellas when it rained, change of towels any time we needed, all the coffee I could drink and booking any transport we needed, they even only charged us for one days scooter use when we had for 3 days. The gardens are also nice and very well tended. One very minor gripe, the breakfast is not really worth the additional charge, and does not compare well with other buffet breakfasts I've had in Thailand. Overall though I would recommend sea sand sun to anyone and will definitely be staying there again on my next trip to Lanta.

Great stay at Sea Sand Sun”
We initially booked two nights, but then extended our stay by several days, as we found this resort being one of the best at the beach. Whereas many other resorts have a bar or restaurant blocking to view to the beach and sea, Sea Sand Sun does not. You can directly relax on the deck chairs at the beach or swim in the small pool with a nice view to the sea. Breakfast was very good, the rooms nice and clean and staff okay. As we stayed here during low season, some construction work was going on, but we saw the progress every day: the resort and garden had been improved with many details day by day. We will definitely come back.

Wonderful place for couples and sweetest staff”
Our stay at Sea Sand Sun Resort was planned to be only for two nights, but we loved place so much that we decided to stay there for 4 nights instead. At the time place was very quiet, near the beach located place. Only small con was the rocky beach which wasn't the best for swimming, but pool was enough for us. Staff was so helpful, smiling and nice that we can easily recommend this place for couples anyday. Special thanks also to wonderful massage therapeutists Arn and Master-Banban (Banzai) who made our stay perfect.

We had a great stay at Sea Sand Sum resort. The manager Nok is amazing and definitely made our stay really enjoyable. She is a great attribute to this resort. She is always willing to help, organised trips, hospital, diving course etc. Thank you for everything and we are looking good come back to Sea Sand Sun.

An absolute paradise!”
My mother and I stayed at sea sand sun for eight nights. When we arrived we were greeted by happy Thai women who welcomed us. The bungalows were good sized and very clean. They had a Thai feeling with the wooden and whites. The ocean was next to us and we had all are meals on the hotel restaurant on the beach. Good food and friendly people. The staff helped with any enquiries and personally drove us a couple of time on their scooter. Shops are close by.

We had a very relaxing enjoyable stay. Koh lanta is more chilled compared to other parts of Thailand. So this hotel being right on the beach is perfect also had a nice clean pool and the owner is very helpful and goes out of her way to help you and make you feel very welcome. Her rates are cheaper for the tours too! The hotel is also perfect to watch the sunset. We preferred to eat out of hotel some nice restaurants on the road side rather than the beach. But preferred to drink in the beach bars very pretty at night with all the bars lit up by lanterns.

Lovely Hotel with excellent service”
We stayed one night in a villa in this small-size resort and definitely enjoyed it. Excellent service was provided by smiling and very helpful staff, at the welcome desk as well as at the restaurant. Breakfast served is acceptable, but no buffet is available. Hotel is ideally located at Khlong Kong beach, with rooms 20m away from the beach, massage premises and very close to a motorbike rental outlet. Rooms were very clean with old-fashioned furnitures.

It is a good base for visiting beaches to the north and south”
We stayed in a first floor room in the block near the entrance, rather than one of the garden bungalows. The upstairs rooms have more privacy than the ground floor rooms, whose balconies open straight on to the walkway, not that many people go past and it is a small, friendly resort. The room was a pleasantly sized. The air-conditioning was a dream, the quietest I’ve experienced. Breakfast and Wi-Fi were included with our booking. The breakfast is basic, but all you need. It included various egg options with ham or bacon, toast, tea, coffee, juice and some fruit. There are plenty of cafes surrounding the resort.

Low season let-down”
Guess it didn't start great since they didn't even know we were coming and there was a sign in Thai that I am pretty sure said closed. The cleaner was nice enough to help us to our room and check in and even rented us a scooter for 150 baht. Had trouble getting the internet password but eventually found a paper with the info, painfully slow however so not really useful. Also, there was no breakfast as stated in the booking since the restaurant was closed. We were the only ones there and think the other places around us were all closed as well, next door (where else resort) looked like they had a raging party about a month ago and had yet to clean up. The beaches were shamefully littered but it was the entire beach that had rubbish up and down from plastic bottles to cups, anything. Anyways, the place is a bit isolated in low season and took about 10 min scooter ride to get to town and restaurants, nice enough though and clean. Everything worked with a/c and tv (no channels in English tho) but didn't have an electronic safe. All in all, not bad for $30/ night but who knows, don't know if I would revisit koh lanta in low season, I like it quiet and not too touristy but this was eerily quiet.

Good place for those who do not expect much comfort and cleanliness”
The location on the beach with trees shading over the sun loungers is the best thing. The place is a little worn-out though. Our room had been cleaned and the bed was clean and comfy but as soon as the aircon was turned off, unpleasant smell came into the room (which resulted in us leaving the aircon on for four days nonstop). The staff was helpful, however in certain "thai" art - we didn't really have the feeling that one truly cares for us, unlike in other places - this might however be due to the language barrier, which is common in Ko Lanta. The worst part was the food poisoning from breakfast, which (without going into details) made our stay to hell for about 24 hours. More than at other places, one should really be careful what to order and eat. Wonderful recommendation by the caretaker was to do the snorkeling trip to Koh Rok, which was definitely the highlight of our stay at Ko Lanta. All in all, okay experience and for low-to-mid budget travellers definitely not a bad choice.

Cozy room ”
Nice, clean and cozy rooms right on the beach. This is also a Startour resort, so expect only swedish and danish people here. Standard breakfast at the restaurant in the morning overlooking the ocean, which is beautiful. It's a rocky beach, but you can easily swim in the ocean during the high tide during the day.

Don't let the pictures fool you!”
We came to Koh Lanta expecting an island paradise and were instead met with a beach COVERED in trash as far as the eye could see. During low season locals apparently do not care enough to pick up a single piece of trash resulting in a completely unusable stretch of beach owned by this hotel. Rooms were decent, but I have given the hotel a one star rating for cleanliness for the reasons stated above. You can't host guests, have a full staff sitting around all day doing nothing while the draw of this place (the beach) looks like it did. Pool was nice, breakfast was good. Koh Lanta during the low season was a total bust for us, and was only furthered by the impression we received that this place simply didn't care about the quality of our stay since there were so few guests at the time. FRUSTRATING!

Very nice hotel with friendly staff”
We had a really great time, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff dealt with any and all of our requests very quickly, nothing was too much trouble. There are a number of restaurants nearby but the area is fairly quiet. A great place to relax and be quiet but maybe head somewhere else if you are looking to party!

Great food at the restaurant!”
This hotel was nice but wasnt suited to our needs as a couple who wanted to be located close to shops, a clean beach and local bars and restaurants. we left after staying one night as there wasnt anything to do other then use the pooldrink cocktails and watch the sunset. In saying that our stay wasnt bad at all! We had a lovely dinner (some of the best thai food we have eaten!) and enjoyed the cocktails by the pool and a massage provided in our room staff are lovely also!

nice clean room and super friendly staff. they will do everything in their power to help you. they are cook, cleaner, reception, bar, and host at the same time, running their legs of to help. rather unprofessional but kind of funny.it is very clean and right at the see. the ocean is rocky at low tide!! if you are with little kids i would advise to take long beach.

Great spot for a break”
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, the villas are nice, the pool and garden area is lovely and it's right on the beach. Lots of bars, restaurants and massage huts within a few meters of the resort. Minimart nearby. Service is a bit hit and miss but that is typical of south east Asia.
