Boracay as it should be”
Through the years, I have traveled to Boracay and I have seen it evolve from the quiet, tranquil island it once was to the "party place" it is now. Thankfully, there are still places where one can enjoy the true ambiance of Boracay. Sea Wind is one such place. Located on Station 1, the more upscale part of White Beach, it is detached from the noise and crowds of Stations 2 and 3, Sea Wind sits on the best part of the beach, where there are more open spaces, the shore is at its widest and the powdery sand is at its finest. It is a resort run by the family who originally developed Boracay, and they have kept the "close to nature" feel and the Filipino-inspired design of the resort, but on an updated and modern level. But more than these, it is the staff's performance that sets the resort apart from the others. Attentive, friendly and warm, they really make you feel at home. Rooms are big, clean and comfortable and the food is good. There are two sides of the resort, the beachfront, and the hillside garden, just across the road. Either way, both beachfront and hillside locations have their own charms. I had a wonderful stay at Sea Wind, and for those who had experienced the old Boracay and yearn for it, Sea Wind will not disappoint. After all, the resort's tagline is "Boracay as it should be..."
Very nice resort on the best part of white beach”
The Sea Wind Resort has arguably one of the best positions on the beautiful Boracay white beach with a very long direct beach frontage and located with the finest resorts on white beach located at Station 1. I booked the Deluxe Room and it exceeded my expectations having comfortable beds, new A/C, nice furniture and I could see the beach through the garden from the verandah on my room. The breakfast was very good with a wide selection of asian and western foods to choose from and included fresh fruits, juices and eggs cooked to your desire. The infinite pool near the beach is beautiful and the cascade pools across the road in the newer villa section are also very beautiful. The resort has a wide beach frontage and a large number of comfortable beach lounges to choose from which are shaded from the sun under bamboo huts.Sea Wind was the only resort I saw providing beach hut shading for sun lounges. Sea Wind has a very open feel and not cramped like some of the pther beach front resorts. Massages are available for a good price of 400 pesos - thanks Doree for the nice massages. Sea Wind also has a very interesting museum available for visitors to see ancient relics dug from the sand nearby in Boracay.
Nice family beach resort”
The Sea Wind Hotel is a small stand-alone resort in Station 1, on White Beach in Boracay. I like the location, it is right on the beach but away from some of the larger resorts and bars; so it is quite in the early evening. I spend four days there the week after typhoon Yolanda and while the electricity was up and running the internet was not and there were only two working cash machines on the island. Despite the typhoon related issues the Sea Wind staff had to deal with they were very pleasant and helpful. It is easy to get around the island and there are many reasonably priced activities. The beach is beautiful, the water clear and easy to swim. A great location for a family vacation.
Relive Boracay's Charm at Sea Wind”
I've been going to Sea Wind since 2005. In all that time, little has changed in the resort and yet, the rooms are always kept new and clean. It's one of the last resorts in Boracay that still gives you a feeling of being in an exotic, remote paradise with all the comfort creatures of a modern hotel. Sea Wind has managed to preserve the charm of island living, and is situated in perhaps the best stretch of white sand beach anywhere in Boracay. It doesn't have the huge, mega-hotel feel which is honestly out of place on an island paradise. Instead, Sea Wind is the closest you can get to a Robinson Crusoe experience without having to give up modern creature comforts. I dare say it's simple the best resort in all of Boracay.

Sea Wind to believe it!”
I stayed for 3 nights at Sea Wind Resort and since Boracay has so much to offer, I needed a resort that was reliable and restful after the daily and nightly activities. Sea Wind delivered and I must say that the staff was very helpful in the details of every concern. From the booking of and smooth transition of the airport transfer, to feeding me ( great food!) and printing my boarding pass for the flight out. The room I got was just right for me and I felt right at home. The interiors were aesthetically designed with wooden shutters and decorative shells whereas other places would just give you a typical room. More examples were the woven baskets, circular mirror, red marble bathroom counter, rain-like shower, clothes line in the shower, larger-sized bathroom, personal balcony with bamboo hamper and relaxing chairs. But most especially important for me is the cleanliness! I had a slight view of the beach and the architecture of the resort incorporated nature so you see indigenous plants and trees that are missing in the other resorts nowadays. If there was anything i could change, it would be the position of the aircon vent that would go directly to my face while i watched TV. I simply adapted by sleeping the other way around. The resort as a whole works so that you feel like they know what they are doing and would like to make sure you are comfortable during your stay. I would definitely come back and recommend this place.
i sifted through the reviews and chose sea wind based on previous recommendations. we were not disappointed - it's a fabulous hotel while still within the reasonably priced hotels. it is the perfect location at station #1 - quiet enough and yet a quick tricycle ride to d mall for fun shopping, dining and people watching. the website pictures do not do it justice as far as the beachfront goes. it is spacious, w/ many chaise lounges available along the baby powder quality sand. yes, the mango shakes are a must do! breakfast buffet was delicious w/ some variety every morning. the coffee was good and strong. other reviews spoke of bugs... which were nothing more than you would expect for the tropical philippines. we also enjoyed the dinner buffet on the beach one night, which was amazing. the staff bent over backwards for all of our needs, including scheduling spa visits, boat trip, etc. the first night we were in a room over the road that was noisy. the front desk was unbelievable as they gladly gave us a tour of two other options for other rooms that were upgrades. we opted for the room at the back of the hotel; more of a hike but extremely quiet and we enjoyed the swimming pool outside our door that was practically our own. all staff was friendly, quick to serve - even the guard would stop traffic for us when we crossed the street. our friends were staying in 3 other hotels on boracay and all were jealous of our fantastic hotel. i will be back!!!
Boracay magic at a tradional beach front hotel”
This hotel is not the slick, modern type now being built along the beach at Boracay so it retains it's charm of a traditional beachfront resort with white sand through the grounds for paths and tropic gardens. Most of the new hotels have small grounds and the rooms do not look out over the water but at Sea Wind, you can have a sea view room and the property has a large piece of beach front land with plenty of grounds and gardens. (Boat) Station One is the best area for a quiet nights sleep as opposed to Station Two just down the beach as this is where the restaurants, night clubs and shops are (and the noise at night). I'd highly recommend the Sea Wind as a reasonably priced option as opposed to Fridays Hotel which is much more expensive and not worth the extra. At the hotel reception there was a guy who was very helpful to the extent he offered some of his money out of his walet, to pay for my taxi (as I only had large notes) and he was happy for me to pay him back later...now that's going out of your way to help and beyond expectation and really appreciated. Such nice people.
I enjoyed my stay in Sea Wind Resort. The resort facility are clean and meet my expectations. The service was exceptional and the staff are very accommodating. All the staff are doing their best to make the hotel guest comfortable. I like the location of this resort, just a few distance from the nightlife activities of the island and if I want to relax, and excuse from nightlife the quiteness of the location is there all the time. I would stay in this resort on my next visit in Boracay, and would recommend to my friends to stay in this resort if they would visit Boracay Island Philippines.
I was a bit put off to find that we were staying in a Villa room across the street from the beach, but this was short-lived. The Villa (and Bahay) rooms are located in a shady, well-kept garden area complete with 2 pools (natural with stone waterfalls) and comfortable open-air lounges- perfect for those days when you can't tolerate the heat and need to escape for a while. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the pictures on the website do not do them justice! The Sea Wind has employed attentive, friendly security staff to stop traffic and escort you across the street to the main hotel grounds, so the garden location is hardly an inconvenience. The Sea Wind is home to the "police station" on Boat Station 1 which is fantastic- the officer is stationed in a wooded area near the beach and surveys the area- leaving your stuff unattended on the beach is worry free when you want to go for a swim in the ocean. The beachfront is absolutely gorgeous from the hotel- if you head down the beach towards Boat Station 2 the beach gets extremely narrow and the water contains more algae. It is about a 20 minute 'saunter' to Boat Station 2, but less than 5 minutes to get anywhere we went by tricycle- to D'Mall, the golf course, the kite boarding beach on the other side of the island. The blender drinks were delicious- had a 'few' in the 6 days we were there. All in all great value for the money we paid (if you book on Agoda!)- we would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Lovely time in Boracay”
I first stayed at Sea Wind in my 20s, which was in the late '90s. Last weekend, I came back to Boracay with my husband and our 8-year old son who was to enjoy the beach for the first time. We loved the station 1 location which was quiet and relaxing, away from the restaurants and loud music. We were given a room that was a few steps away from the beach and we loved it - it was cozy, just the right size, and modern yet had classic touches of Filipino architecture. The staff were very friendly and fast. My last visit was in 1998 and it was wonderful to know that the Sea Wind's excellent service, accommodations, location, and relaxing ambience was as wonderful as when I last visited. There were a variety of choices for breakfast which were delicious and which we loved. There are a lot more restaurant choices in Boracay now, so we opted to have lunch and dinner in other places. Now my husband and son would love to go back to Sea Wind and Boracay again next summer :-)
The Most Beautiful Beachfront in Boracay”
i have stayed at sea wind resort many times in the past, i have also tried out more expensive places on the island. sea wind's rooms may be simpler, but it without a doubt has the most beautiful beachfront in boracay -- the seemingly widest, whitest and most seaweed free stretch of beach in front of a boracay resort. sea wind's rooms have rustic charm, are kept clean and are complete with all the basic amenities. some of its rooms have incredibly romantic canopy beds. the staff in sea wind is friendly but professional, there is an atmosphere of family bonding among staff at the resort. i'm not a fan of its breakfast offerings however -- the corned beef is not the best quality, the bacon tough, the sausages not special.
Great location. Greater service.”
Located in Station 1, Sea Wind resort provides superb access to the white sand beaches away from the crowds. Even with a quiet, serene atmosphere of the resort, the food and nightlife of Station 2 isn't too far away. The best takeaway is the wonderful service of all staff there. From those at the counter to help cater to your needs to the security guards who look out for their guests first, management seems to be doing things right. I enjoyed the booking there so much, I extended my stay for 2 more nights on the spot. If you want to find a good value stay in Boracay, Sea Wind resort is the place to book.
Good Family Vacation Resort”
Visited with family in December. Nice beach front resort, good prices. Recommend staying on the beach front side of the resort, that's the best. Staff was always courteous and made every effort to make our stay comfortable. Morning buffet was delicious! Good choice of traditional Filipino and American foods. My boys loved all the Mangos! Sea Wind Resort is at Station 1 so it's quieter at night, helped all of us to get a good night's sleep, but still close to Station 2 with most of the dining and entertainment spots. To access all the shops, etc. you will need to ride in a taxi, trike, etc. or take a healthy walk. The rooms were good, nothing really fancy but comfortable. Only used at night for sleeping, too busy enjoying Boracay. I travel frequently on business and with any hotel, room/facilities maintenance is important. They could go through the rooms and periodically check cabinets, doors, plumbing fixtures, etc. Definitely go their again! And recommend to families.
Great vacation stay”
I've spent 5 days at the Sea Wind resort for vacation. It has truly been a great one, thanks to Boracay itself for one, but greatly supported by the quality of service I've received at Sea Wind. It was very comfortable to access the beach, so close you could walk there barefoot from your room. Deck chairs at beach available for hotel guests. Staff were all very courteous and went out of their way to make my stay a pleasant one. In two instances when the hotel rented out part of their beach for weddings, upon request I've been moved to another part of their resort not facing the party. Shuttle from and to airport (Caticlan in my case) very ok and gives you some nice views to open / close your stay :) overall very nice and relaxing stay.
Great location, helpful staff”
boracay is a small island 200 miles south of manila in the philippines. the main tourist destination is white beach, which is 2.5 miles long and divided into three “boat stations”. we stayed on boat station one at the far end where it’s less crowded and quiet in the sea wind resort. the staff was very helpful, the breakfast was good, and the beach was the best we saw in boracay. the clear turquoise water is beautiful and warm. you can walk out for a long ways, maybe 600 feet before you are up to your neck. we like to walk out a couple hundred feet and sit to get cool and refreshed. it rains everyday for about an hour in the afternoon. my wife and i enjoy it, walking in the rain, it cools the air and is a nice change… we got massages on the beach almost everyday (we splurged each). an hour of getting rubbed with coconut oil under the bamboo canopy on really comfy lounges …life is good!
Amazing resort in the best part of Boracay”
Sea Wind is my favourite place to stay at when we visit Boracay as it has the best beachfront out of all the resorts in Station 1. The staff are amazing - super friendly and will go out of their way to help you. The massueses based at Sea Wind give the best massages in Station 1 - we had one every day. Their nightly bbq buffet is awesome with a wonderful array of choices from oysters to bbq sticks to pasta - all for a very reasonable price.
Traditional hotel with great service”
i was at first a bit apprehensive on staying in this hotel as i had my heart set on discovery shores and two seasons. however, we booked our trip two days before we arrived and of course, the hotels were almost all booked. i found the seawind though a travel agent but decided to book through agoda because the prices were better. with the excellent service by the staff and the location in station one, you could not beat the price of this hotel. although the hotel is a bit older than many of the new hotels in boracay, the hotel is very well-kept. the rooms are clean and serviced daily and they give two free bottles of water a day. the decor is traditional and the room does not come with a flat screen but who goes to boracay to sit in their room and watch tv anyway. we stayed for 7 nights and enjoyed every moment of it. the hotel even provides two umbrellas each room for those rainy nights! we would definitey go back to sea wind!
Boracay has so much to offer but if you don't stay in the right place, it is hard work and no fun. Sea Wind is on the best part of the beach, is beautifully quiet but still offers all one needs, a nice pool & bar on beach with restaurant & very good staff, all in the sand ! Just a 5 min ride or a wonderful 15 min walk along beach means you are in the nightlife & shopping hub where it is always very noisy & crowded. The position of Sea Wind means you can get to so many different parts of the island easily and the open seaview is relaxing & welcome. Other parts of the beach have so many boats & water sports directly in front of the hotel that you can hardly get into the water. The peace at night, but the short distance to the bustle of shops bars & restaurants means you can have the best of both worlds. Sea Wind's friendly staff make it possible to get all the help you need to make a nice stay possible. Housekeeping was very good, my only criticisms were the wardrobe, as it was so tiny & the lack of plugs in easily accessible places for phone chargeing etc. We felt very comfortable at this resort.
beach plus nature”
staying at sea wind was great, the beach front view was great (it had one of the biggest beach front line among those resorts in station 1) the only downside to this was our room was located on the other side of the road away from the beach; this wasn't the problem but our room was located on the 4th floor so it is a hassle everytime you want to go back to the room, but the good thing about the room is that its big! away from the crowds and it's as if you are secluded from the noisy and busy boracay. the staff here were excellent, always so attentive to what you need and beach towels can be borrowed everytime you decide to take a dip. breakfast was awesome as well; had a wide range of western an choices.
