The place is quiet, facing the sea and comfortable. Surrounding area is clean. Breakfast was provided. The service is excellent. Staffs there very friendly, sharing tips around the island.

If you can live without key amenities like a fridge and water kettle, this one perhaps is ok for you. The common bathroom can be cleaner. It's located next to a pub with loud music, either you flat yourself out during the day or buy yourself a drink to sleep well at night.

Perhentians are more expensive than mainland. This is a no frills place that is just fine. We had aroom with bathroom and balcony overlooking beach - lovely. Rooms at back wthout bathrooms while slightly cheaper are more dungeon like. Laid back vibe. Note Beach bar right out front- music until late. Slept fine with ear plugs.

Pretty basic dorm, nothing fancy”
It was a decent and affordable place to stay. Don't expect anything fancy. Met lots of friendly travellers in the common areas, and lots of places to eat close by. There was also like a popup beach "bar" on the sand right in front of the hostel, which was a nice place to hang out at sunset. I also did a couple of fun dives with them and it was very affordable and not a big group. For my last dive it was just me and the DM so that was cool, the team was super friendly and all locals, if you care about supporting small local businesses in your travels

Best beach front”
We used to book Bubu every time we go to Perhentian but the rates now are ridiculously high. Tried this lodging. We are happy as it has the best beach front along Long Beach. It’s also the least expensive which translates to no amenities. We got room with bathroom, no toiletries. The place is worn down though clean but not really that clean. It needs more frequent sweeping or mopping is perhaps better. A fresh paint of the walls will perhaps also do the trick. If you need more comfort, perhaps better to book the lodgings between Long beach and Coral Bay, or book at Coral Bay itself which is only around 7 min walk. Then at Long beach you can rent at 10 ringgit only those beach umbrellas stuck to the ground with mats for you to lounge or lie on.

This place is great with nice location right on long beach. But you will get the unprofessional manager browsing around the entrance/common area for Nothing! Not even a single greet or thank you at all. Nevertheless we will definitely come & stay there again for Miera. Credit to her!

Staffs are extremely welcoming”
Went in a group of 4. Staffs were so damn welcoming and easy to mingle with. Cleanliness is decent for a wooden traditional house, there will still be sand on the floor and most probably in your room. But, you are at a beach, what do you expect? Don't come here if you're particular about comfort and cleanliness. For a guy like me who is fine as long there is a bed and the air is clean, no mosquitoes, you should definitely choose here!!! Something to take note, there will be no electricity in the day time after 715am if not wrong, everyone automatically wakes up hahah. You would not wanna choose here if u wanna sleep until afternoon as it can get warm in the room without fans turned on.

I would never stay here again”
first thing I was told upon checking in is that they only have electricity for certain hours... why is this not noted one the travel booking sites or their own website? The place was quite dirty, no wifi, staff seems to be accommodating to those that are taking their dive course. This was one of the bookings that I should have walked away from when I saw the place, but I've learned my lesson.

1. Sharing toilet - not really clean. 2. A lot of mosquitoes 3. No a/c. 4. No change of towels. Plus point is the staffs are really friendly and cheerful especially ariff.
