Very Happy with the Accommodation”
Our rooms at Seaport Village had a charming cottage-like feel. The location in Russell was excellent being 1.5 blocks from the main wharf. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Kitchen was a true full kitchen. The bathroom was large and ultra modern.

Great Location”
Loved our stay here. The unit had a kitchen, fridge, table and chairs, 2 cane chairs and an outside deck with table and chairs. Unfortunately it rained so we couldn’t sit in chairs as no cover but sat elsewhere so all was good. Owner/operator was very nice. Greeted us in a very kind manner. Thank you Seaport. We will be back. Highly recommend.

It had everything you need, great location, 2 minute walk to everything. Clean, a kitchenette, lounge and dining area. Very friendly and helpful manager. Totally recommend and would stay again. Awesome value for money.

The location was within a two minute walk to the restaurants and shops. Facilities were nice as well. However, the lodging is only serviced every three days and the internet connection was weak.

What a fabulous view”
We had a house directly on the promenade overlooking the sea. It was magical. It had three bedrooms, kitchen, lounge with TV, air con and ceiling fan. We felt very special sitting out in the evening watching the sun go down. It was so laid back in Russell and a great way to end our NZ adventure before returning home to the UK. We didn’t even mind some of the critters that magically appeared at night and sang to us. We didn’t want to leave.

In the hub of Russell”
Great motel very close to everything in Russell. Manager is the perfect host and went out of his way to make us feel welcome, even inviting us to join in on New Year's Eve's festivities! The only negatives are shower could have a better clean (in and around the joins of bottom and walls of shower) and the furniture needs to be moved when being dusted/vacuumed plus having to phone to get service as no one in attendance at desk. Otherwise an awesome place to stay in Russell:)

Plan to stay a few days, its quiet”
We got our booking at a discounted price that made the unit excellent value. The kitchen made holding and preparing food practical. Russell is a small town so two or three slow days is plenty to look around as long as you have a car. It would be very busy during holiday periods.

What a great impression when you turn up to a relatively small hotel and the key has been left out for you. It's so unusual in today's world to be trusted. Great start to an enjoyable stay. This place is right in the center of Russell. I'll be back......

A REALLY ENJOYABLE STAY”
We were very kindly upgraded from a standard studio to a 2 bedroom apartment with a balcony and had an absolutely enjoyable stay. Located one street back from the waterfront, the apartment was spacious, clean, well equipped, comfortable and very relaxing. The host was gracious and very accommodating and we would recommend these apartments to anyone wanting the convenience and space of an apartment over a hotel room.

A lucky find - highly recommended”
This hotel was a random choice and we couldn't believe how fortunate we were. Great service, loved the extra touches - especially the fresh flowers. Our room was compact,but certainly had everything we needed. Fantastic water pressure in the shower, and really impressed by the cleanliness, quiet and presentation. A great escape and we definitely will return. Highly recommended.

Rooms were very nicely done up, and very clean. The only thing missing is the A/C unit. Staff was super friendly, car park is a good size.. In overall, the facility is very neat and pleasing. I would love to stay here again.!

Handy Spot”
We stayed here as it was the closest accommodation to the Annual Classic & Kustom Car Show held at the Duke of Marlborough Tavern. Everything was clean, comfortable and because it is Winter, being warm was important - and this unit was just right for all our needs.

Dissapointed”
Stayed one night. Reception closed at checkout 10.am time for key return, so left in unit door. Facilities not 4 star or good value for price paid. A non working circa 1970's 14 inch CRT TV ! topped with a non working 'set top box' and no instructions! Old fashioned fixed shower head, no shower door, just nylon pull along shower curtain, Peachy pink hand basin bowl porcelain is very crazed, vintage plastic towel rail, Bathroom was dark, needed to use had light switch every time, which activated both light and noisy unwanted fan. Bedroom very cluttered with small table & two chairs at foot of bed, plus a further 2 tub armchairs and another small cane table along the window side,Freezer unit had 1 inch layer of crushed/partially defrosted ice, no fresh milk in fridge, only powdered white creamer sachets No WiFi in room.Clean,Pleasant, but over priced for this vintage Studio. A quick glimpse into an apartment unit in the main building showed a sweeping staircase and ornate interior more in keeping with the luxury 4 star hotel image/ frontage presented.
