Far from town”
This resort is actually very far from the island of panglao. Me and a friend ended up moving to another resort the following day of our stay here. The photos appear to be very different from the posted photos and the place is not well maintained. I am not quite sure if this place is supposed to be operational.
Lovely place but need a lot of maintenance”
Filipino style but it´s been a long time since they improve or maintain the place. They are beginning to do it .... but still not yet
Location is quiet secluded. Pictures did not match reality. Rooms outdated and not clean looking. Bathrooms low local standard and not really adequate for me as a European. Other people might be ok with it but I am a little bit special when it comes to bathrooms. Staff were friendly even when we decided not to stay after all.
the resort is practically dead, dreadful, no ready food, the ordinary barriotic sea sides. Over these, the staff are ok. we did not avail of our second nite here. the first night we really didn't have a choice but to stay since it's very remote. my kids were literally crying and didn't want to hold the door handles.
Awful ! ”
I do not recommend this place, this hotel seems to be abandoned, there is no reception desk to check-in, the room was dirty, no water in the shower. Regarding the color of water of the swimming pool, I don’t wanna know how many days they didn’t change the water... Do not go to this place!
Told owner we could not even check in and went elsewhere miles away”
Very Remote, run down, unhygienic, food bought in and unsafe, dirty pool. Owner wife understanding but foreign husband propping up the bar at 11am. Might have changed owners and improved by now. No realistic food or entertainment sources nearby.
Name should be drunken filipino karaoke with cockroaches resort”
We booked 1 week stay in here but ended up to run away after 2 nights. We were the only guests in there and now we know why; +there was really nice resort just 300m away where we went to eat and spend time - wifi was... can't even give any description cause in fact there was no wifi at all. - the beach was so dirty there was no way you would liked to swim in there - local drunken people singing karaoke starting at 7am, and worst night it continued till 1am - no idea who was the resort staff and who was just random local - breakfast was maybe meant for their dogs? cold rice and cold somekind-of-half-cooked-meat leftovers - our hut was home of cockroaches. we had cockroach-poison spray and during the stay we managed to kill more than 20 cockroaches, and there was still more coming from somewhere - our bathroom was rotten, sheets dirty, and the floor was made of sharp ceramic plates, you had to wear shoes in there if you didnt want to get your feet cut - swimming pool was very dirty
Far and not good”
Far and not good
Do not go here!”
Nice setting but the accommodation is dilapidated with no shower, bathroom floor flooded, pool dirty, difficult to get food or drink and the only place in the Philippines I have barely seen a trike available. Karaoke all day and night with locals which would not be a problem for me if they weren't the only ones with alcohol. This place COULD be nice with some attention given to it but avoid until you hear it has.
NOT SO GREAT”
Hot water didn't work. Air conditioning and water barely worked. The pool was scary, based on the rest of the facility we had no confidence it was safe. With some effort and repairs this could be a really nice place. Staff was nice enough. The location is very near the beach not far off the highway.
cheap but OK”
the rooms are rather filipino oriented. Not suitable for average western traveller. The place is nice.
It's the people that make the place!”
The basic facilities are soon overlooked when you encounter Gemma and Bruce, two of the friendliest and most welcoming people you'll ever meet. There's plenty to do if you want action....they've just started a kitesurfing school....and there's a nice swimming pool and a beach for those who prefer a more sedate kind of action! Okay, the showers aren't up to much and you may have to share the bathroom with an ant or two but it's hard to beat sitting around a friendly bar in the evening having a drink or three, swapping stories and listening to somebody sound like a strangled cat while belting out 'My heart must go on' at the music bar next door. I'd happily go again!!
Small friendly resort”
Peaceful compact resort (only 10 rooms), very friendly staff, good restaurant and facilities. Good swimming pool and beach good for swimming at high tide. Lovely area to be based to explore areas of Bohol away from the busy Panglao Island areas.
the pictures and the reality isn`t the same
Great fun, Bruce, Gemma and their volunteer, Olivier are very friendly and helpful. The free airport shuttle bus is good. Nice pool, nice place. Anything you need and they try to sort it. I will return. PS. Red Horse, of course, of course
