Very Nice Place & Clean”
Near to Walking Street, easy for food.Room clean. Overall veryyy good & very recommded!
Filthy and extremely basic”
Pros: 50 meters from Payyaya beach, 150meters from walking street. Close to several good restaurants and bars. We has air conditioning. Cons: Filthy dirty, blood splatters on the mosquito net and curtains from squashed mosqueitos, floor hadn't been steeped, bin in toilet hadn't been emptied and was full, bin at front door also full, unsure if bedding had been changed, we used a liner just in case, towels threadbare, electricity kept cutting out and fuse switch held in place with a match, bed very uncomfortable., no water on two occasions, sink in ensuite not plumbed to any outlet pipe the water falls from the sink to the floor. We had pre paid €164 to stay for four nights and it was non refundable. We only slept there and spent as little time as possible in the room. We cleaned it ourselves to make it liveable. Koh Lipe is expensive but I think you will get lots of places that are better value and clean. Would not stay here again nor would I recommend
Favorite stop in Thailand”
ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW: Koh Lipe was 7 days of pure blissfuless. After speedboat ride to Koh Lipe, I shouldered my backpack and walked along a white sand beach until I reached the quaint Seaside Resort. At the reception desk I saw my name hand-written on a piece of paper. I pointed to it and said That's me to the young Thai who spoke no English. He nodded, grabbed a key, and I followed him along a shady dirt pathway to my stilt bungalow. He opened the door, handed me the key, and walked off. Nobody bothered me for the next seven days. My bungalow had a spacious bathroom with hot shower. The room was simple but perfect with a king bed covered by a mosquito net which was nice to lay beneath while the fan flew ripples into the fabric. The porch had two chairs and a hammock that I used regularly. Walking to the beach from my door took about two minutes! And you pass a nice open-air restaurant along the way. And Walking Street, where all the bars are restaurant are, about a five minutes walk!
Perfect location and good bungalows”
This is my 2nd time staying at Seaside Resort. Good points: - Located right on Pattaya beach (bungalows are set back from the beach by about a minute or 2 walk. - Walking street is just a few minutes walk away. Sunset beach takes about 20mins walk from here. Sunrise beach also about 20mins in the other direction - If you arrive by boat to Pattaya beach (most likely in high season) you won't be more than a few minutes walk away from Seaside resort. Just walk along the beach with the sea to your left and you'll see the resort. - Price is reasonable - I don't know if they have any air con bungalows as I've stayed in a fan room twice but they're fine. The hammock on the front is a nice touch. The bed has a good mosquito net around it - Hot decent shower and bathroom is decent enough too Bad points: - Wifi only works at reception but I wasn't really here for the internet anyway - Towels won't get changed or room cleaned for the duration of your stay but again this wasn't a deal breaker for me as it was just a few nights - Bed is a bit hard and you can feel the springs a little bit but its not the worst by far - They have a restaurant at the front of the resort but don't have breakfast included and don't give discount for guests staying in their bungalows - this could be easily fixed and improved Overall, I'd come back here again despite the few bad points. It's nothing flashy or 5 star so as long as you come expecting what you've paid for you won't be let down. If you're someone who loves their creature home comforts, a comfy bed, 5 star service, clean towels everyday then go somewhere else. Lastly, lots of people mention mosquitos etc like its the fault of the resort but you're on an island surrounded by water in a tropical climate. The bungalows do have gaps in the walls where bugs can get in but personally, I think it adds to the appeal of being in a more natural resort. Yes, you'll also have mosquitos in your room but the local shops sell repellents, sp
Had a pleasant stay here”
Staffs were friendly The room was clean and basic amenities provided Great location esp in the peak season the beach is just within walking distance and you can also avoid the noise of the crowd in the peak season... Close to walking street where all the shops and restaurants are located There s even a nearby cafe and massage place.. And pattaya beach is the most beatiful beach of all 3 beaches in koh lipe With soft, white and cool sand.. Don t have to go to sunset beach to view a scenic sunset..
mosquito attack ”
A lot of mosquito! The bed are hard and full of sand and you can feel the string easily by just touching with your hand. The toilet cleanliness have to improve, the toilet bowl are in black colour. The check out time written on Agoda are 12pm however as informed by the staff are 10am,however we successfully negotiated and show agoda voucher to request for 12pm check out. Outside of the room have a lot of worm and those worm size can be bigger than your finger! However, the hotel location is good as it is facing the beautiful pattaya beach.
Perfect if you're not expecting 5 star”
I'd stay here again in the blink of an eye. After studying which beach to stay at I chose this place & I don't understand why the score isn't higher. Pros: When you arrive by ferry to Pattaya beach (high season) it's literally 3mins walk away Location ~ Its 5mins from Walking street and Pattaya beach is gorgeous. Some people say Sunrise (15mins walk) is quieter but that's NOT TRUE! Sunrise beach is prettier so everyone flocks there meaning less crowds on Pattaya. The beach huts are 1min from the beach altho not on it. The huts are great ~ Hammock, hot shower, big comfy bed and the fan was enough for me as it's Dec and not hottest time of the year. Lots of reviews about all the mosquitos but you're on an island with jungle and water! Figures! You won't find a place without them on the island! Only con is staff not too friendly but you'll be checked in and left alone and if you're someone who wants towels changed daily go elsewhere. Great place. I'm def returning here
This was a perfect place to walk to any of the beachea on koh lipe, and a little removed from the chaos of walking street which is nice. The room was very simple but great for what we needed. Big bed, nice porch, and delicious restaurant next door!
It is simple bare huts, just to spend nights, relatively cheao for Ko Lipe price level (which is generally very expensive vs general Thailand prices). Choose huts with aircon. The owner is friendly. Beach in front, walking street close. Also easy to walk to Sunset beach. Good choice for 2-3 nights for people on budget. No luxury but fully acceptable.
Value for Money”
Locate along the much sort after Pattaya beach(i do hope I got the name right) which has access to almost most of my family needs. Though the resort provides WiFi, however I could not get connected at all but doesn't really matter as I wanted a vacation free from such modern day gadget. Overall I am happy with it.
Near to walking street and immigration check. ”
Overall is fair.Room facilities can b improved with some furniture to sit n mirror in d room, not in the bathroom. Can also provide a small kettle for boiling water.mat outside the bathroom n at the door should b constantly changed for hygienic reasons. Room is small with not much space to move around.
Smelly tap water”
Accommodation is expensive in Koh Lipe so you have to make some compromises. However, there is one thing I could not accept and that was the smelly tap water. Koh Lipe is a tiny island slowly being killed by booming tourism, water supply and sewage/waste disposal is a big problem now. The water coming out of the taps was clear but smelly, like drain water. It was not suitable to do anything with, not even to wash your hands with and certainly not for brushing or bathing. I am not exaggerating, it was really smelly. I had to buy bottled water to brush with and take quick baths with after a snorkeling or swim trip. Otherwise, this is an okay place, the units are under shady trees but I do advise anyone heading there to get an air-conditioned unit. The floors of the bamboo bungalows are not tiled so they are damp most of the time. The units, like many in Koh Lipe are VERY basic so don't go there expecting what you would usually get for the price paid in other places.
Cheap, but fantastic ”
we were looking for budget accomodation and stumbled across Seaside. We decided to go ahead and book it. We arrived on Lipe and got a taxi bike to Seaside where they were waiting, check in took 2 mins and we were shown our room. We had an AC room which I feel is a must. Hot shower decent wifi and comfy bed, the only suggestion is a small fridge would be nice as can be a pain to go out frequently to grab a cold bottle of water. It was only 3 mins to Walking street, and we got a great price on a snorkelling tour thru the hotel. I stayed with my gf and she agreed for what we paid this place is under rated. Would definitely stay again.
i don't like this place full of mosquito, which is big, the toilet light is dark but the room is ok, nice balcony for rest and walking distance to beach... I like the reception area available resting bed for us facing the sea.
Nice stay in March”
We enjoyed our stay at Seaside. The bungalows are in a great convenient location, just off the middle of Pattaya beach. It was very quiet and peaceful. There are a lot of trees around the bungalows, so it wasn't too hot. The bungalow was clean and a mosquito net, blanket, and towels were provided. The bathroom was really clean and the hot water worked well. There were always a few mosquitos in the room due to the fact that the bathroom was not fully enclosed and was only separated from the bungalow by a shower curtain, but it was only a small annoyance. If you want to stay on Pattaya beach and be near the walking street and restaurants, Seaside is a good choice.
Pattaya beach bungalows”
Do not expect to have a great bungalow. The only advantage is the hot water when you rarely need it. The mosquito net had been appreciated but even with the fan it was very warm. Next time I will try to get a bungalow in front of the beach or a place with ac. It's quite expensive for what they offer and not very clean.
Very bad. We booked a bamboo type of chalet but the room we were acoomodated was like staff room and located far back of the reception. Futhermore, the conditions of the room were bad. No worth the money we paid for.
Relaxing time in Lipe”
We had a very nice stay at Seaside Resort. The bungalos are set back from the water, so no view, but the location overall is very nice given the proximity to the boats and walking street. All bungalos had nice hammocks on the porch which were perfect to spend the mornings when it was raining. The owner also went around each evening and lit bug coils on each porch showing they go the extra mile to make sure you enjoy your stay. The owner was there to answer all questions and give advice on transport from the island. The massage area on the beach was a great touch and a perfect way to end a long day snorkeling or diving.
very basic even airco room”
room was very basic, just bed, fan, air, 1 lightbulb, bathroom big and adequate but need keep mosquito coils burning as the roof is somewhat open. Staff friendly, restaurant closed allready for the low season, nearby Lipe Cafe offers great food and coffee and shakes at very reasonable prices
It was a pleasant stay. The hotel is on the beach. The rooms are basic - fan and mosquito net, but considering that the island isn't the mess of air-conditioners and hi-so tourists, it makes for a nice change. Not sure how much longer it will stay this way... Enjoy the hotel and island while you still can.
