Great place, courteous and helpful staff, will come back!”
The staff made me feel very much at home, they are all very friendly and courteous. The place has a very calming quality to it as it is located on the mountain. One could rent a motorbike from the resort which makes traveling on the island very easy. However, you must be very careful when you drive as many people injur themsels by slipping off the road (beware of sand on the road). Aow Leuk beach is a short walk away and in my opinion one of the nicest beaches on the Island. It's not free though, 100 bath entry fee, but longchairs are available, the water is beautiful and the snorkling great.

Hideaway”
Seaview is a remote resort, which lies on the hill with a beautiful view and plenty of fresh air. If you can ride a bike than it's no problem at all, if you want to go by feet be ready to go for 45-60 minutes to reach beautiful beaches which Steve will recommend to you. Wooden bungalows are just amazing, very cosy and have balcony. Kitchen is very good, especially fried rice, and at affordable price. The only complaint is that there is no smoking free area on the terrace (restorant) so it's hard to eat when somebody smokes just right next to you. Anyway the place is good, we'd like to come again.

nice view ”
View, beach, moutian .
The location is on the moutain. it's quite far from pier and party area but it's among natural area. you need to rent the motorbike to get anywhere or you can rent it from them. They also provide picking up- drop off service (from - to pier) Anyway, dont call before 7-8 am because no one pick up your phone. The room is not clean. It's simple hut , if you don't mind .. book it! and becareful giant mosquitos. The best is you can walk to attractive Ao tanote. it's worth to visit there. Staffs are nice and friendly ... Enjoy your holiday!

Well it's budget but... ”
Best three... You can rent moped from them, view and friendly staff.
My stay was ok, but let's face it, the bungalowes are quite out dated. At least where I stayed. My pillow smelled like damp grass and the other towel was damaged and stained. I know it's quite cheap, but C'mon. Kitchen was closed during my stay, so can't say anything about that.

Worth a stay just for the view”
The view
We only stayed at seaview for one night. The bungalows looked lovely and the resort itself is extremely attractive. The view was amazing from the balcony of the bungalow, which I think made us overlook the actual quality of our stay. The bed was comfy but we didn't get any sleep because, the roof for some reason banged really loudly all through the night in the wind. It sounded like someone was sat in the roof banging their heels against the walls. It was pretty terrible from the point of view. Whether it was just that one bungalow, I dont know. If we moved to a different bungalow and it didn't bang then we would definitely stay again. BTW If you're not fit/active then I would recommend a taxi as its a very steep walk for about 20minutes. Killer!

Great hotel but a bit remote”
Great view, good room and nice staff
The resort was nice but it was to far away from the main attractions on Koh Tao. If you are not going to hire a bike then do not stay here. It is a long walk or quite an expensive taxi to get anywhere.

The hotel is not worth the nightly rate!”
The seaview - not more to say.
The hotel has long since left his best days behind. in accordance with Thai ratios not worth the money. The rooms were not clean and for every service you had to ask for (even for the toilet paper). The location of the hotel could have been nice without the road below the resort - it is traveled almost night and day with mopeds and pick ups and bring raucous tourists towards the city or in any backpackers hostel in the last corner of the island (okay, to be honest, this is not in the responsibility of the hotel ...). The staff is totally uninterested in his guests. As guest you almost had the feeling to be a burden to the staff. In our view the hotel is only to use for making easy money. We only stayed four nights instead of five paid nights. The nights on the ferry have been more fun than the nights at the Seaview Resort.

Backpackers quality for five star price”
Only the view
This is the worst place i ever booked for this kind of money. The only good thing was the view. The staff was very good at making their problem (taking care of customers) your problem and laughing in your face when asking for anything. They did not clean the room for all four days. No water was given (can only buy). The room is called de luxe, but is worn down. TV don't work. AC works but cannot make comfortable temperatures (somewhere below 25). The shower gave only cold water. There was an old wooden baththub which leaked and took hours to get some water in. Tthe room was dusty and the bathroom dirty and stinky. The curtain almost fall down if you touch it. The balcony is a area and should only be entered if you like dangerous places. It is very remote on a dangerous road. To take you down they charge 200 baht. I can go on and on about this place, but my advice is to only book here if you want to pay deluxe prices for backpackers quality. Its a shame. Ko Tao is a beautiful island and you can make great dautrips, but don't stay here. Oh i forget to mention. The only that worked for me was the WIFI network.

okay, but wouldn't recommend it”
30 minute walk from the pier. great view. lots of stars
this place is tucked up in the hills about a 30 minute uphill walk from the pier. you better rent a scooter or pay $9 each way for a taxi. an hour walk to sairee beach. it's not a resort, it's bungalows, so don't let the name fool you. it's on a hillside which is pretty. check in and staff are pretty useless and seem bothered when you ask for something. we spent 5 nights there and had our room 'cleaned' once. there are many better options to stay on the island, so if suggest looking other places.

Nice, but expected more for the price”
View, room design, nice staff
We had the honeymoon deluxe apartment. The view was terrific, the room itself was nicely designed and we got picked up for free from the ferry terminal. There is nothing bad to say about this hotel, however I felt it was not totally worth the money we paid, compared to other resorts. The area is also quite remote.

Oerpriced and poor standard of accommodation”
Quiet location and nice view
We booked the 'family' bungalow with two bedrooms - the second bedroom was in the basement and felt more like punishment than a holiday. The bungalow was advertised as having a king sized bedroom and a twin bedroom. In fact, both had double beds and the request for a single bed (as my mother and brother were sharing a room) resulted in us being brought a thin and squeeky old camping bed. The bathroom door in the double bedroom did not lock or even shut. Only after contacting the manager did a member of staff come to fix the issue. We have since discussed with the manager the issues and he told us he would address them as best as possible. I CANNOT recommend staying at Seaview, it is overpriced and the accommodation is not a good quality. There are plenty of other options on the island that are in just a quiet a location. The manager however was apologetic and seemed genuinely concerned that we did not enjoy our time.

Basic and ok for a one night sleep”
Staff, view, staff
The bungalow was basic, some work could be done on the bathroom (toilet seat broken, not so clean, etc), however the view from the balcony was stunning and staff is amazing. Really nice, they also do free pick ups and drop you later when you leave.

Relaxed, friendly environment away from the crowds”
Location, view, staff.
Very good staff (thanks Paul and Pin). Paul is an avid Nirvana fan, and he even lived in Seattle for a while. Away from the crowds, they have good views, and its a great place to get away from the busy areas near the pier and sairee beach. Close to the BEST snorkeling beach on the island called AO LAK. Rents scooters for cheap. A must for anyone staying on the island. Wonderful views and sunrises. Located on top of a mountain. Near the highest point on the island. Away from it all. Rooms basic but nice. Hammocks on balcony. Good value for money.
