"Clean and quiet, the two most important."

The restaurant next door (not part of the hotel but certainly deserving of mention) was delicious and the staff was friendly.

Superb Hotel in all respects”
You are probably staying in Fiumicino because of the airport. So you need proximity and efficiency. Seccy Hotel is 15 minutes from the airport yet free of aircraft noise. It's situation is in quiet streets, so no traffic noise either. There is a shuttle bus to and from the airport, so if you book over a web-service such Agoda, contact the hotel and they will give you details of the shuttle bus - the 15 minutes. The bus runs every 30 minutes. The buss serves a few local hotels as you would expect but Seccy is the first drop off from the airport and then last pick up TO the airport which makes this service all the better when you need speed. The price of the shuttle bus is €6. On the other hand, the hotel will organise a pick-up service for you €25 and if you wish to use a taxi to the airport, Seccy will organise that for you at €15. The hotel itself is a delight of architecture and provides comfort well above that of chains at easily half the price. 5 stars!
Great alternative to big chain airport hotel”
The gentleman at the front desk could not have been more accommodating. We changed rooms three times! And he was so pleasant concerning all of our repeated requests. It was extremely hot in Fiumicino—-the first room was too small ( we had paid for a royal double upgrade), the second one was great, but the air conditioning could not cool off the corner 3rd floor room, and the third one was just right! Rooms were immaculately clean. Only could Mali this was a very hard sleeping pillow. Breakfast was very good. And the front desk guy was back in the morning with a smile and exact directions to the car rental return at the airport. Surprised to see all of the trash in Fiumicino, as the rest of Italy seemed to be trash less. We would definitely stay at the Seccy again.
Perfect pre-flight oasis”
We stayed here prior to a morning flight from Rome's Fiumicino airport after a week in tourist-mobbed Florence. The Seccy is a gem of a quiet, elegant spot just a short walk to the River Tiber and a seaside boardwalk. We were able to relax and breathe after our busy touring. It's also just a short hop to the airport. The hotel offers a discounted rate for the shuttle to the airport, a very nice breakfast, free bottles of water in your room fridge, and pleasant efficient service.
Surprisingly pleasant stay near the airport”
We spent our last night in Italy at a hotel close the the Fiumicino Airport in Rome, expecting just the most basic accommodations in a boring location while waiting to leave the next morning. Surprisingly, we ended up staying in one of the most comfortable rooms during our two-week stay in Italy, a short walk away from a beautiful riverfront strip where the Tiber meets the Mediterranean lined up with great seafood restaurants for our last authentic Italian meal. The only major drawback is the 6 euro charge for a five-minute shuttle to the airport.
The hotel was great. There were a few issues with an electrical outlet being out of order, but the staff fixed it so that we were able to do everything we wanted. The restaurant next door (not part of the hotel but certainly deserving of mention) was delicious and the staff was friendly. Overall, Seccy Hotel was a great deal and a great experience. I certainly recommend it for anyone who wants to see the town without being too far from the airport.
Great hotel near FCO airport in Rome”
My husband and I, along with a friend stayed overnight at Seccy Hotel to be near the airport for our flight home to Baltimore in the morning. The staff was wonderful and met our every need. Extras were being able to park at the hotel and having breakfast in the morning. There is a wonderful waterfront boardwalk nearby that we enjoyed. Great meals and great gelato. Due to an airline delay, we stayed an extra day at Hotel Seccy and they were able to accommodate our needs. Highly recommend.
Need a hotel near Rome Airport? Look no further!”
Stayed 1 night before an early morning flight from Rome Fiumicino airport but wish we could have stayed longer. So much better than most Rome hotels we've stayed in, at least in our price range. This place is a great find with good restaurants within walking distance.
Convenient to Airport and a nice seaside boardwalk”
We di not want to go into Rome and then back early the next day so we tried Fiumincino for a lay over. It turned out to be a great idea. Hotel Seccy in just the right location for an easy walk to the seaside. It offers clean acomodations with a wonderful breakfast. Th staff is very friendly and although we speak Italian the staff speaks english. The shuttle to the airport is 5 km and easy.
Good Hotel very close to Airport”
I ended up at Seccy very last minute because of a flight issue. Booked it online and was at the hotel within an hour; it's a 10 min ride from airport. The receptionist was very nice and welcoming with great English. The room was very clean and comfortable (albeit a standard room is a bit tiny). They have great Sky cable TV, and a very good restaurant right next door. So for a last min stay, I highly recommend it. And honestly if I had to stay longer, I would have, maybe just gotten a larger room. If you can, try to take the shuttle bus that only costs Euro 6, otherwise the local taxi's are a complete rip off, I had to Pay Euro 20 for a 10 min ride, the guy didn't use the meter so I was highly suspicious but too tired to argue. Not the hotel's fault, just advise on how to save money on transportation.
Nice boutique hotel with spacious room”
I chose this hotel based on the reviews from other travel website and was very satisfied. It is a boutique hotel, so feels more intimate and home-like than the chain hotels. The staff members were very friendly and helpful with the restaurant information, shuttle arrangement, public transportation information, etc. The room I stayed was very spacious with nice cool tile floor. Bathroom was also quite large with nice amenities. The breakfast included many selections for the bread, fruits, drinks, etc. The shuttle service to the airport was very smoothly arranged by the staff members and the taxi from the airport to the hotel was only 8.40 euro oneway(although usually it would be around 15 euro). There are many restaurants near by the hotel including Japanese and Chinese in addition to Italian, and the next door restaurant was excellent!
Pleasant and comfortable”
Taking a last night before leaving Italy we thought we would book somewhere close to the airport. The Seccy was pleasant and the staff friendly. Similar to other Italian hotels I wouldn't bother with the breakfast but pay for a nearby cafe. The room was large and comfortable however it smelt like someone had smoked in it before us, or cigarette smoke was leeching in from somewhere else. The area was comfortable although not a lot to do with very little shops - but some nice restaurants on the other side of the river.
our stay was great thanks to the efforts of Alfredo at the front desk. even the morning after we arrived, Alfredo was still on his shift and still very helpful and cheerful. I hope this review gets him a raise or promoted because he is what made the Seccy hotel stand out and ensure I would recommend it to anyone who asks.
Great little hotel”
The hotel was a wonderful surprise. Comfortable bed, quiet location, free wifi, and included a very good free buffet breakfast. It is a 5 min ride away from the airport in a great neighbourhood. It was our last night in Italy and it was fun walking along the tiber watching the local fishermen, the area offered an abundance of good bars and restaurants - delightful area. The hotel staff were very helpful in arranging our taxi to the airport ( there is also an airport shuttle). Highly recommend the Seccy.
Perfect Hotel for being near the airport”
After driving around Italy for 2 weeks, and getting lost a lot, Seccy Hotel was the perfect choice for us. Only 3 km away and an easy drive. The concierge gave us the exact address of Terminal 3 to put into our GPS. We arrived the night before our flight and spend the evening strolling to nearby restaurants and cafes. Comfortable beds, some English TV, and parking available onsite.
Very convenient place to stay”
Our stay at the Seccy hotel was perfect for what we needed on our last night in Italy. The staff was very nice, and there was a good restaurant right next door to grab a quick bite before bed. The front desk arranged an early ride for us to the airport just a few miles away.
Perfect "airport" hotel”
Very convenient hotel with great front-desk service. Staff was able to provide advice on where to eat nearby, where to get gas fill-up on way to airport, and where within the airport to return our rental car. Very well-priced hotel given its proximity to expensive Rome. Only downside is the shower stall is extremely small, but this is a small point. Other downside is this booking agency (Agoda). Even if you specify the room is for two, the booking defaults to 1 person and you have to pay an extra 20 Euros when you check in. This is an obvious attempt by Agoda to make their pricing favorable relative to others. The hotel told us they have had this complaint about Agoda many times before.
Lovely boutique hotel in a very convenient location to FCO airport, very reasonably priced compared to all the normal corporate hotel chains. The staff was very friendly, the room spacious & updated, and the breakfast great. There are a lot of restaurants nearby along the waterfront for a drink and/or dinner. Easy to arrange for a shuttle pickup to airport at a nominal charge (figuring out where to get shuttle at the airport was somewhat confusing though).
Seccy Boutique Hotel was a very nice boutique hotel.”
We needed a hotel near the airport for the last night of our 3 week Italy trip. This hotel is 4 kilometers from the Fiumicino Airport and very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and more than willing to make their guests comfortable and knowledgeble of the surrounding area.
Perfect for airport hotel”
Our aim was to get as close to the airport as possible before flying home the next morning. The Seccy was clean, comfortable and had a friendly staff. There is not much to look at around the hotel, but there were a couple of good restaurants within walking distance - one right next door. An inexpensive shuttle took us to the airport in about 10 minutes.
Great Small Hotel Near Fiumicino Airport (Rome)”
This is a little gem of a hotel. It doesn't have a gym or a swimming pool, but the cleanliness of the hotel, the superb and friendly staff, the proximity to the airport (but without the noise), and the room price makes this hotel exceptional. The area is a bit run down, but I didn't feel unsafe walking in the area. There's an excellent small pizza restaurant nearby with great pizza and a friendly staff, and other very good restaurants are within a small walking distance and along the Tiber river. The extensive ruins of Ostia Antica (the ruins of Rome's ancient port on the Mediterranean) are nearby, and cheap to get in to and explore, and the ruins are in relatively decent shape. Breakfast is part of the price of the room, and while the hotel didn't have pan fried eggs available they had hard-boiled eggs, with lots of fruit, nice rolls, yogurt, bread and toast, an espresso-cappuccino-cafe Americano coffee maker, several types of sliced meats (but no prosciutto), and several types of cold cereal. Breakfast is from 7 - 10, and since I was leaving at 6:15 the staff gave me a to-go box of cold apple juice and a packaged croissant----very accommodating. The WiFi strength is outstanding, the best I had in Italy. Overall, of the places that I stayed at in Italy on my two week trip this was the best hotel, with decent room prices. This place is highly recommended.
