The Perfect Boracay Quick Getaway Hotel”
My stay at Second Wind BBB was awesome !! It is perfect for backpack travelers who spend most of the time in the sun and under the stars. Second Wind has that feel of being at home where the kitchen is accessible, beds are comfy, rooms are cooled even on the hottest days, walking distance to 2 beaches (White Beach and Bolabog Beach), convenience stores and pharmacy nearby, a bakeshop across the street, peaceful location (MNL Hostel has the same concept but more for the young at heart where socializing breaks the silence), the staff are like your friends, strangers become your friends, and accessible to the main road that can take you to other places on the island via trike such as Diniwid (Spider House) and Puka Shell Beach. Second Wind BBB is my second home in Boracay.

Worth every peso”
I've stayed in more expensive resorts along Stations 1 & 2 during previous Boracay trips, and though these places were along the shore, it would be too much of a hassle to sleep at night due to noise from adjacent bars & ongoing parties. Second Wind perfectly addresses this concern while enabling me to only spend 1/3 of what I usually do per night for a Double Room. I loved the super comfy bed, hotel quality pillows & sheets, rain shower head, bidet, bathroom & beach towels, hair blower, flat screen cable TV and free breakfast at English Bakery; all these for only P1,800/night. My boyfriend also stayed at a Mixed Dorm room for P490/night, and he was very satisfied with his accommodation. He met new friends from all over the world, and was very impressed that even when he left his stuff (non valuables) lying on his bed, none were lost or touched. The hostel is only a mere 10 steps from the Main Road so it's really easy to get a trike, and get to whichever part of the island as one pleases. I also got a bit hungry during the middle of the night, and it was comforting to have been able to buy fresh fruit from a small stand & grab some yummy fruit shake from Jonah's... all just less than a minute away. The place is also about a 7-minute walk from D'Mall. As for the hostel's owner & staff, they were so helpful when I had queries & requests up to the point that if they don't have immediate answers to my questions, they would either Google or make some calls just to appease. Another thing, the owner shared to us that Second Wind guests can access the beach lounge area of Ti Braz (Station 2) for free so we did just that & chilled for one afternoon on beach beds without having the need to order anything. We just showed our Second Wind keys to the resto bar staff. 😁

Good Value For Money”
Plus Side: - Receptionists are friendly & helpful & can tell U where to buy tickets to Kalibo/Caticlan Airport - Transport companies such as Island Star Express & South West all know where Second Wind Hostel is and can drop U off right outside the hostel so that U don't have to walk in from the main road and find where it is :) - Within 3 minutes of walk to White Beach - Directly opposite Kubo which is an affordable restaurant & near to other eatery places - There is a water hose right at the entrance for spraying sand off your feet and sandals Down Side: - Wifi is not available in dorm room A but Wifi is OK at the common lounge area - The floors in the dorm need sweeping & mopping - There should be a sign to inform guests to spray their sandals and feet when they come in & receptionists should also remind guests of that during check in. Otherwise they bring sand into their rooms & beds. -Staff should tell all guests during check in not to talk loudly after 11pm & enforce the rule

Great value for money and super accommodating staff”
Second Wind Hostel was a great find in Boracay. I've always stayed in rooms at the beach front but they were just plain rooms and a bit expensive. I tried booking a double bed room in Second Wind and it didn't disappoint - the room was really nice, clean and with cute interiors. The staff was very friendly and accommodating - they attended to all our needs and they were really helpful. Although Second Wind isn't at the beachfront, the short walk was okay. Location was nice too since it's almost at the borderline of Station 1 and 2. For the quality of the rooms and the service of the staff which you will get at a super low hostel price - it's definitely a place I'd recommend to friends and go back to :)

A great place to live in. Highly recommended!”
The place is surprisingly clean and the staff is really friendly. They are constantly improving the outlook of the hotel and we had free mango smoothies from the staffs while we were chit chatting at common area. They provide free and hot breakfast every morning (cook upon order)! We stay in Boracay for 10 days and we have tried 3 different types of hotel/hostel and second wind is by far our favorite place to stay in during these period! Definitely will stay here again if i come to Boracay again

Great hotel for a very reasonable price!”
Our hotel room was very clean when we arrived. The aircon was cold enough. There was even a hair blow drier. The room is spacious enough for two people. The hotel is conveniently located in Station 1, just around 2-3 min walk to the white beach. The price is cheaper compared to other hotels along Station 1. The only con that I will say is that the bar in front of the hotel can be pretty loud and you can hear it from the room. Overall, I will still recommend Second Wind Hostel!

Best Hostel in Station 1”
This is the best hostel in Station 1! The dorm type (where my friend and I stayed) has comfy and wide beds, two bathrooms, HUGE space to walk around, and cute/ efficient lockers. Pros: -Staff especially Kuya Joey is nice, he even accompanied me to the MNL Party. -Short distance to the best beach (station 1), and to main roads. -lots of cheap food around the area -you can cook and store food (kitchen is really tidy) -CLEAN Cons/ Room for Improvement: -faster wifi in rooms -more areas to hang clothes -please serve breakfast! :)

Exceptional”
good 1. clean thick mattress, thick & soft pillow 2. good location as centre to main road, white beach, bulobog beach, mount luho and budget market 3. 2 bath room in a 8 bed dorm 4. Colorful & calm paint 5. big locker and individual lighting 6. good & helpful staff 7. thick towel given. to improve 1. thin blanket (seems to be commonly use thin blanket in boracay hostel) 2. no wifi at room, slow internet speed even just to check information on Google 3. wrong address GPS shown in agoda. it's actually located in front of kubo restaurant right after the junction of main road. 4. no daily cleaning bed and toilet or towel (maybe need to request???) Definitely will go back to this hostel.

Excellent”
Checking in was a breeze. We encountered a minor hiccup when their website and Agoda stated that the room should include a television. As per the staff, all TVs are pulled out from all the rooms. I raised my concern and the manager (part-owner?) took care of our need. "Gel" offered to transfer us at their sister hostel MNL Boracay in a private room with free breakfast to boot. Kudos! I appreciate the upgrade.

Underrated but superb hostel!”
It has super nice and stylish rooms. For a hostel, I was really impressed on how spacious and clean their facilities are especially the restroom! It is a 5-minute walk from the beach if you know the shortcut. Just take the small pathway beside TGIFriday's that will lead you to the main road. This hostel is truly a hidden gem in Boracay!

just OK”
We stayed in a twin room at room no. 2, ground floor just in front of the reception area for 3 days 2 nights. The rate of the twin room in this hostel is a bit higher than what you can get in a 2-star or 3-star hotels in station 2 area. They did not provide any bathroom basics so you better bring your own or just buy outside since there are lots of convenience stores nearby. Facilities are just OK, room is clean but the bathroom stinks, the bad odor never went away even if we opened the ventilation/ exhaust fan. There are kitchen utilities you can use in the common dining area, there are also condiments for cooking so you can prepare your own meals. The location of the hostel is far from the beach, it's located near the service road. But you can walk maybe around 8-10 mins to reach White beach area and also 8-10 mins to reach Bulabog beach side since the hotel lies just between the 2 beaches and walking is tolerable. They do not provide free beach towels, you have to pay 50php = around $1. Overall our stay is just OK, it's probably best for people who travel on backpack or for those who travel solo, it's cheaper that way. But for couple or family I don't think you will enjoy this place so much. I'd probably stay elsewhere if ever I'll be going back to Boracay.

Great hotel with good location”
This hotel is very good choice to stay. It is near by the beach with 5 mins of walking, basically you need to cross the road and you reach the beach at station 2 starbucks. The bed is very comfortable, wifi doesnt reach the rooms so you need to go to the living area to use it which doesnt matter. The breakfast is just so so which they need to improve on that. Would give this hotel 4/5.

Nice place to stay”
Nice and cozy place to stay. Very clean environment and friendly staff. Can hear some very light noise in the evening because our room is facing outside where there is a bar opposite the hostel, but the noise will stop after around 10pm. Clean pantry where you can heat up your food or boil water in front of our room. Generally, great stay at this hostel. I would definitely recommend to others!

Very good for backpackers!”
We arrived late in the evening, around 11pm, and there's still someone in the reception who's ready to assist you. We booked for a 4night stay in their double room. We were initially given a room without television. So, I asked if he could transfer us to a room with a TV. He told me that the TV on that room is being repaired and assisted us to a new room. Also, I don't remember them cleaning our room during our 4 night stay. But I think you can request for your room to be cleaned. We just didn't requested it. Room has no toiletries except for a 1 roll of tissue. As I've remembered, you can buy shampoo/soap/extra tissue from them. There's a mini blower and 2 towels in the room. You can rent a beach towel from them as well, I think around P50 per towel. They don't serve breakfast during the time we stayed there. Not sure though on what season they serve free breakfast. But, there's coffee in the kitchen. And you can use the utensils there. Just wash it afterwards as a respect to the next users. Location is near D'Mall (5-10mins walk), White Beach (3-5mins walk), 1min walk to the main road where you can hire tricycle. Only bad thing is that it's kinda flooded in the corner of the street. Not sure though why there's an overflow of water.

Kind, Accomodating and Helpful”
Hotel is very near to the station 1 beach (around 5 mins walk). There is a shortcut just along the corner of the road. They also helped us to book our water activities (helmet diving) and I could say it was very helpful since there are unlicensed people offering water activities roaming around the beach. Our room is just right for 2 people (Double room), modern, clean and cozy. Money paid is worth it. :)

Good hostel for a good price”
Very good hostel, 5 or less minutes walking to the beach. I found a very good price for a private room. Clean, very good located, near restaurants and bars. Would stay hear again.

Great stay”
It rained 30 minutes after we checked in and so there was a leak in the room. The staff was very responsive and provided us with a replacement room promptly. The environment and comfort of the hostel is very good and I highly recommend it.

Great hostel”
A decently priced hostel located near all hotspots. It has a common area and kitchen. I stayed in a private room with aircon and fan. Bed and bathroom were good. There is a live band playing almost everynight at the bar across the street and I can imagine that some people would find that annoying. They usually stop around 11pm.

Enjoyable and peaceful stay”
I booked in mixed dormitory and surprised to see that I am the only occupant for my entire 3 day 2 night stay. The room was clean as well as the bathroom and it was nice to note that there are 2 bathrooms inside the dormitory. Linens and pillows were fresh and bath towels can be replaced by request without any fee. I love that there is a pantry where you can cook and the fridge as well to put your drinks and other stuff. Less than 5 minutes of walk to the beach . Will probably come back.
