Lovely place, quiet & a little way from the busy town”
Place is lovely with well maintained grounds and nice little bungalow with decent sized bed & good bathroom facilities. Really quiet & relaxed. The manager there is excellent & happy to help with anything. Walking roads into town takes less than 15 minutes & is fine. In parts, the roads aren’t well lit & so it’s worth taking a torch to light the way but mainly so traffic sees you! There’s a short cut through the the fields at the back towards the beach. (Take the first left pathway out of the entrance and follow it, take the left fork (don’t go right & up the hill) then go a very short way down a slightly overgrown & narrow path & through a little opening in the fence to the left then just follow the path all the way through the palm tree fields until you get to the road then cut through any where there to the beach! It’s very dark at night without lighting. We went via the road at night! If you’re diving in Koh Tao, highly recommend Roctopus (at Wind Beach Resort on Sairee beach).

Simply awesome!”
We booked for one night and we decided to stay until the end of our vacation. We got a very clean and cozy room, with a very comfortable bed. We rented a scooter from the resort, and we got a brand new motorbike, with low mileage, and we did not run the risk off being cheated in case of scratches... The position of the village is perfect! The resort is located in a very quiet beautiful valley, surrounded by coconut palms. It's few minutes walking from the beach and nightlife area, and, at the same time, very quiet, because of the palm field that keeps you away from the noise. The bungalows are not so big, but they are cute and built in a beautiful thai style. Quite new and well equipped with all the modern comforts such as, air conditioning, hot shower, satellite TV, refrigerator, coffee and tee maker and other amenities. The terrace is furnished with table and chairs, and the Wi-Fi signal is strong and stable inside the room, on the balcony and in public areas. The staff and the owner are extremely nice and helpful. Always smiling and ready to give us good advices and to solve our small issues. One day, we wanted to have a BBQ dinner together with some friends. When we asked if a BBQ was available, the owner went to buy a new one just for us. When we came back from our snorkeling tour, we found that everything was ready for our dinner. We just had to buy our food and drinks. We spent a wonderful evening in a magic atmosphere. I've been in Koh Tao several times, finally I found my perfect accommodation on the island!

Amazing place!”
The village is located 500 meters from the beach, in a wonderful valley, surrounded by palms. A hidden gem, so quiet, compared to the noisy places in the middle of the busiest area of the island. 10 minutes walking from all the bars and restaurants. The bungalows are simply beautiful and very clean. Air conditioning, hot shower (not everywhere provided, on the island), coffee machine, a big fridge, flat screen TV with satellite channels, and a very comfortable king size bed made our stay in Koh Tao a real pleasure. The staff is amazing, always smiling and helpful. They also rent motorbikes, at a very cheap daily rate. We'll definitely come back soon, since we finally found the perfect stay on this amazing island.

Fantastic village in a magic atmosphere!!!”
Since we arrived we were welcomed by a very smiling and helpful manager. The bungalows are very clean and beautiful, and there is a porch in wich we spent our morning time, drinking coffee and tee (daily provided for free by the staff), listening to the only sounds of the nature. Since the bungalows are 400 meters from the busy and noisy nightlife area of Sairee Beach, the area is very quiet (no motorbikes running around). And the best restaurants are only few minutes walking from the bungalows. We recommend SecretGarden Village to everybody, and we'll definitely come back very very soon!!

Idyllic spot not far from Sairee Beach.”
We loved our little cottage at the Secret Garden! It's conveniently close to Sairee Beach and the main area that has all the bars and restaurants but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. We were able to rent motorbikes from them for 200tbt/day. Htoo, the manager at the Secret Garden, was very helpful arranging this, ordering pizza for delivery and bringing us a new motorbike on the other side of the island when we had a brake fail on our first one. The cottage felt slightly cramped only because the bed was so big! It also had an awesome big fridge, a little desk and some shelving and a bench for storage. A few upgrades would make their place perfect: a hammock on the porch perhaps, a night table next to the bed and some better water pressure in the shower. Highly recommend this place. The beach was not our favorite however, hop on the motorbike and check out Tanote Bay and Sai Daeng instead!

Beautiful place!!!”
The room was great. Very clean and comfortable. Much more then what we needed. The atmosphere was magic, we could only hear the sounds of the nature. We spent lot of time sitting in the porch, drinking tea and coffe, enjoying the tranquility of the garden. The owner and the manager, were always smiling and friendly. We'll be back on Koh Tao very soon, and we already know that we'll stay again at Secret Garden Village! We highly recommend it.

Nice bungalows ”
Beautiful big clean bungalows in Sairee beach with AC, fridge, kettle tea coffee, tv and a nice terrace. Manager is a top man and you can buy all sorts or drinks do laundry and rent a bike. We booked two nights and ended up staying a total of five because it was so nice and relaxed. We rented a scooter to see the island but specially for the drive in and out of the bungalows as its a four hundred meter dirt track but don't be put off by it because the place is well worth it.

Fantastic place”
The village is beautiful, immersed in the nature of a wonderful valley. It’s located 400 mt from the noisy and crowded nightlife area, beyond a wonderful palm field. That makes it a perfect location, few steps from everything, but very quiet at the same time. The bungalows are brand new, very clean and well equipped with a huge and comfortable bed, air conditioning, hot water in the bathroom, a flat TV with satellite channels, a big fridge, a coffee and tea maker, and many other amenities. There is a private porch in front of every room where you can relax in the sounds of the nature, read your book and enjoy your coffe (they provide complimentary tea and coffee bags every day). Sometimes you can spot a couple of water-buffaloes crossing the garden, and a man who owns a trained monkey that climbs the palms to collect the coconuts for him. The staff is awesome, always smiling and helpful. Highly recommended!!!

Awesome place in a magic location”
Since we arrived we felt in a magic place. The owner and the manager are awesome, always smiling and ready to help you. The bungalows are cute, in a perfect Thai style, and at the same time modern and full of comforts. It's a wonderful spend the morning time drinking your coffee, sitting in your porch, surrounded by the sounds of the nature. The beautiful palm field keeps away the noise of the busy Sairee Beach. Highly recommended. Exellent value for money.

Very nice quiet bungalows ”
We had a great time here as we love a quiet place near to but far enough away from the busy area, secluded little plot about 500 metres off the road through a beautiful coconut grove down an unlit sandy track. You really need to hire a bike to stay here and the manager Htoo (pronounced 2) will rent you a brand new bike for a good price and he does not try to rip you off with repair prices as so many on Koh Tao do. I rated food 3 as I did not want to pull the overall rating down but there is no restaurant here yet, but you get coffee tea each day and a big brand new fridge. Htoo also helped with tickets and taxis and made follow up calls to make sure everything was OK for us. We would go back here again!

Worth the money and great service”
I stayed there with my best friend and we loved it. The bungalow was very nice. Th staff was very helpful. However it is called "secret" for a reason in regards to the location. It was in a middle of a little hill. Not hard to find and not far at all to the Sairee beach though. We didnt have a problem with the location as we planned to rent the motorbike anyway. So overall was great.

Good stay, great host! ”
Stayed for 3 nights originally and extended to 5 as enjoyed the location. We had issues finding the place and had to ask locals as maybe we missed the signs?! Close to Sairee beach, bars etc. Really good host in Htoo made us feel welcome, polite, renting bike, laundry, taxi and always there to help. Room was comfy and great value for money - only downside was the shower not very powerful so not 5/5! Big fridge, amazing ac, nice area to sit outside. Would recommend and stay again.

Great quiet place & amazing service”
We booked this nice little bungalow for 2 nights and decided to extend for another 5 nights. Very peaceful setting, a lil bit far from the busy road in Sairee. Had issues finding the place in the beginning because there were no signages except at the entrance, so perhaps that can be improved. This place is well maintained, comfortable and clean. The manager, Htoo, is excellent. He's a friendly guy and happy to help us with anything. Definitely would come back again!

Nice little garden with very clean bungalows. Staff was always helpful (brought us anti-moskito candle, helped to rent scooter...) Should we come back to Tao, we definitively would stay there again!!

Fantastic 2 night stay”
Upon our arrival we were greeted by the manager who showed us around our bungalow, gave us a map, told us about trips and offered us a bike to hire. Throughout our stay he was amazing. The first night we had a minor problem with the a/c but we had a maintenance guy with us within 15 mins of telling the manager and all was fixed. Don't be put off by comments regarding the walk. There are 2 ways you can get to the bars/beach etc and we found the road way safe and easy even at night and it took about 10 mins if that. The sounds of nature on the patio of a night was amazing and once in your bungalow you don't here a thing and can sleep peacefully. The bungalow was clean and nice hot shower. Can't recommend this place enough we really enjoyed our stay here.

A relaxing place to get away from the normal crowds”
As many of the reviews mentions, this place is a bit isolated from the rest of Sairree beach. However, if you're wanting some a more wholesome vacation or just some peace and quiet, this is an excellent choice. It has it's own little compound with a beautiful garden and jungle view and the bungalows are clean and well-equipped. And when you need to get into town or to the beach, it's really only a 5-10 minute walk.

The bungalows are not in central sairee, which is great if you are trying to avoid drunk touristy crowds. They are very clean and all have a terrace with a small table, perfect for a quiet, self made breakfast in the daylight. The facilities' manager Htoo was very welcoming and helpful, and our only regret was the fact that it took us so long to find this place.

Good, not amazing. Off beaten path”
We stayed here for 7 nights. It was a good value for the price. Comparable bed to most Thailand places we've stayed, good shower, accommodating staff. It was off the beaten path and it was hard to find the first day as there were no signs anywhere. Also, it has no restaurant or bar on site, so to go out at night you have to walk down a dark road. To get to the beach is a five minute walk through the jungle. Overall, it was clean, but our room had ants. Would still recommend of you're looking for somewhere near sairee beach that would be a little quieter than some of the places near all the bars and hostels.

Perfect for the price, will be back”
This is more than you’d expect at this price. The manager there is amazing. He’ll cheerfully take care of any request like it’s a 5 star resort. I got service there equal to the 20k฿ place in Bangkok. Laundry, mopeds, advice, tours, cleaning. Good deal. Often some cool people living there, and the bungalow style promotes talking and hanging out and sharing stories. It’s a little difficult to find but it’s quiet and you can get away from the downtown buzz. If you call him and say you’re at the pier, it’ll all be fine. Get checked in and have him get you a moped from his friend. :)

Friendly manager onsite”
I'd spend 6 weeks on Koh Tao previously, I tried looking for this place on my own but found it tricky to find. It's hidden away and not well signposted so best to get transport there to get your bearings. The most direct route to the beach is off the beaten track and would need a torch at night. The bungalow was nice. Clean, simple and comfortable stay. The manager lived round the corner and was very helpful, even gave me rides into my dive school if he saw me walking. You need to request for the bungalow to be cleaned. I had a problem with the electricity turning off and on during the night on one of my stays, was told there was a problem in the area. Didn't occur on the other nights. Would stay again.
