A very comfortable stay in one of Yangon's finest hotels ”
This was my second stay at this hotel, the first one having been all the way back in 2005. Back in those days, Yangon was a very different city. Although at the time I was more of a backpacker, and thus the US$54 rate I paid was a little high, I decided to treat myself. This time around in 2019, the rates are somewhat higher of course (although affordable for a business traveler like myself) but still fairly reasonable for a 5-star hotel. As I arrived very late in the evening (11pm), I was too late to dine at my favorite restaurant and even the hotel restaurant was closed by then so I ordered room service. A little pricey (although not excessively compared to other countries) but well worth it for the excellent quality food. Breakfast was amazing and so was the pool, although being the beginning of the dry season, a morning swim in the shadow created by the hotel's old wing felt a little on the cold side. I remember swimming in the pool in July 2005 during the rainy season.

Excellent staff and hospitality”
I would like to commend Ms Khine Thinzar Htet who was not only professional in unserstand customer requests, she is well versed in English and has a great customer attitude. I was trying to ask for her help to get a room with a better view ie Inya lake view. Normally, a staff will check and tell you that im sorry Sir that we are full or there is additional charge for changing to a room with a better view. Ms Khine Thinzar went the extra length to search 2 rooms which I might like and she personally showed me the rooms. The personal treatment to make sure that I am comfortable really impresses me. I am impressed with great Burmese customer service from the example of Ms Khine Thinzar Htet. Thank you once again Ms Khine Thinzar.

Good place to have staycation ”
We went there during Christmas holidays and the facility is exquisite. The atmosphere is also relaxing and rejuvenating. The pool is wide but it was so cold to swim that time. The staff is also very approachable and helpful (I was preggy that time and they really asked if there’s something they could do to make me more comfortable). The food in the buffet was the only thing that did not really stand out. It was OK but not something that I would crave for... as preggy I love to eat that time hehehe.

Awesome Hotel Staff”
Fantastic stay. The hotel staff is so cordial & warmth that they will think of solutions for you at a personal level that makes the stay special. For such an old hotel, I must say that it is well maintained and doesn’t appear to have dated. The rooms were big and clean. The location is great as they are just opposite a large mall with lots of restaurants and shops, so everything is very convenient.

If you have a short period of time in Yangon, Sedona will give you the luxury you need to rest to minimize the hassle of traffic. The Japanese restaurant there has great steaks and sushi. The bar serves excellent cocktails.

Caring staff going the extra mile”
My mum had bad diarrhoea and vomitting during midnight. I checked with the front desk for help and they advised us to go to the emergency clinic as it is 24hrs on call. The duty manager and the porter went up to the room with a wheelchair to help me to bring my mum down to the car. The duty manager instructed the hotel driver to drive us to the clinic using the hotel transport without any charges. They just want to help out as much as they could. I'm so touched with their caring act. My mum had an injection and put on drip cos she couldn't drink and losing a lot of fluids. The whole ordeal at the clinic lasted for 2 hours and finally we can go home. The driver waited for us and sent us back to the hotel to have a good rest. Though it was quite a traumatic experience, I'm very glad that the hotel staff reacted spontaneously and there were no time wasted, they know exactly what to do. Our stay at the hotel was very pleasant. The rooms in Inya Wing are clean, spacious, luxurious.

The hotel is close to Myanmar Plaza, and multiple restaurants such as Ocean Pride and Mandalay Cafe. Rooms are nice and spacious. Swimming pool and gym are huge.

Amazing Experience”
Booked standard room for one night but got upgraded to Inya Wing when arriving. The room was exactly how it looks on the page. Myanmar plaza is across the street so I could have breakfast, lunch and dinner there. Either garden view or lake view were spectacular. Would be better if they upgrade TV to smart TV so that I can watch movies from my laptop. 9/10

Old world luxury”
The Sedona experience Yangon was a complete experience with entertainment in the cocktail/piano lobby any time you choose. The hotel is decorated in old world Teak, gold and mother-of-pearl adornments. There is the newer section restaurant, a wonderful pool and large gym. Located on the inye lake With some local fare surrounding. Oh, and there is a new plaza on one side if you need. All staff were outstanding

Still a Fancy Hotel”
Even though I’ve been reminded by my friends that it’s one of the oldest hotel in Yangon, upon approaching Sedona, it doesn’t appear to have dated at all. I stayed in the old wing, and it was still very fancy and modern. Impressed with how Sedona Hotel was able to adapt to changes through time. Location is just next to Myanmar Plaza and Inya Lake.
