short stay but glad we did”
We were already in Bali staying in Seminyak. We decided to extend our stay & move to Sunur. A friend recommended the Segara Village Hotel & we weren’t disappointed. It was clean, tidy & the staff friendly & helpful. We only stayed 2 nights, wish were there for longer. We found it to be quiet & relaxing while having much more to do than Nusa Dua. Will definitely be going back & next will stay longer.
Well laid out resort”
A very good stay, very friendly staff, close to good restaurants and local markets. We had a Delux room, which was well presented and clean, very poor lighting was the only fault. The reception staff were not very informative, no signage around the huge resort, got lost a few times. We asked several times where the best restaurants were and where were the markets, only reply we got back from the reception area, was a poorly printed map, which we could not read. Be very careful with the Money Exchanger at the corner outside the resort, they had ripped off a few others from the Resort, and also tried it with us. Dont let them touch the money once you have counted it When I reported it to the Reception staff, they replied " yes they have had reports of their underhand dealings previously". This information should be advised to all visitors on arrival . Overall a good relaxing resort, close to everything and only a AUS$10, 30 minute taxi to Pataya.
Great location on the beach. Rooms are spacious and clean. Only let down in my opinion are some of the staff. The Byrdhouse bar staff are asleep most of the time and service is SLOW. They don’t let you know if it’s happy hour. Getting a drinks or food menu, might as well go and get it yourself. Tried the patisserie and found the cakes are stale. I think the cream cake decorations are mock cream. Why not use fresh cream? Because the cakes are at least 2 days old and fresh cream wouldn’t survive. I didn’t eat at the hotel as there are several beach cafes that serve great food at reasonable prices. Overall the Segara Village Hotel is in a great beach front location. What lets them down is sleepy and unwelcoming staff. Not all staff but too many for me to give them a better review.
Stayed at Village 2”
We stayed at Village 2 for 5 days. Loved it. No kids under 12, we could always get a lounge by the pool. Breakfast is in the Byrdhouse and cocktails and canapés between 5-7 each night. Fabulous. Have booked to stay here again.
We went travelling to Nusa islands and stayed at Segara Village Hotel afterwards. It was a great stay. Fully recommend staying at Segara. Took the bungalow (which had a separate pool away from the 2 main pools, yes they have 3 pools!). Room was clean, bathroom spacious and clean. Staff were really polite and helpful. Bfast spread was good. Neighbouring area is relatively safe, we walked around the area at night, (there is a 24hr McD 5 mins away!) Would stay there longer if we could.
Segara Village is located at the north end of the beach so it is great as a starting point to explore Sanur! Just head south and you will cover most of the stuff. There are a few swimming pools, tennis courts, table tennis table, pool table, playground for kids etc. They had a movie screening at the garden when we were there as well. Great food nearby too, highly recommend staying here!
Lovely hotel would love to stay again just a bit too expensive.”
Lovely place to stay just wish it was More affordable so we could stay here all the time not just sometimes. Also what’s the name of the pet rabbit?
A great place in which to relax.”
Always I feel at home at Segara Village. The gardens are well kept and the options for eating at the site, plus in the vicinity, are great. Pools, relaxation, helpful staff and gardens, next to the beach... what more can you ask?
Staff at check-in desk and restaurants were not courteous. Maybe they need to be trained. Other than that, a great place to stay. My children enjoyed this place a lot because of the easy access to the Sanur Beach.
The Segara resort was beautiful, clean, and lovely to stay in. I have to say though, it lacked a bit in the customer service area with many areas not being staffed around the beautiful pools until you went and found someone. The Le Pirate restaurant on the beach was absolutely terrible however, and the resort really needs to either fix it, or get rid of it.
Always Relaxation at Segara Village! ”
I find myself always relaxed when I am Segara Village. The gardens are beautiful and well-kept and the staff are friendly and helpful. The pools are just lovely also, even when it rains! Make sure you enjoy the beach front and the view of Mount Agung, especially when it is ‘sleeping’!!!
Good resort with complete facilities in Bali”
Couldn't fault the resort - been staying here more than twice and as always, we enjoyed our stay here. Staffs are friendly and the hotel itself has a vast ground complete with its Balinese atmosphere. Totally enjoyed our stay here.
Romantic short stay”
Pros - the resort is fully self contained and self sufficient and always had a relaxed but vibey atmosphere. (Other resorts and restaurants appeared dead) Beautiful pools and grounds! Lovely staff! Breakfast and cocktail hours for the Club guests is AMAZING and made us feel special! Cons - tea and coffee making facilities in the Club rooms could be better. Club rooms should also have the Nespresso machines. The Village2 area needs it's own dedicated attendant and bar area there at all times for drinks/food orders etc, - needs something a bit like the jacuzzi bar so you don't feel like it's a forgotten area after initial set-up. Stand-outs - the special anniversary cake, chocolates with turn down service and general service and attentiveness given to Club guests!
simply perfect! ”
we were upgraded to a room private villa with a private pool shared between about 8 villas. Huge room, Huge comfortable bed and even huger bathroom. also had a private courtyard out the back. was everything we wanted and more. Staff were incredibly friendly and help with everything. onsite spa great massages but you can also get a lesser quality cheaper one just on the sand at the front. No hawkers hassling you unless you go into one of the nearby shops. Perfect location right on the beach. The two guest pools were great, additional to our private one, and there is a spa with a swim up bar. food was lovely, good choice for breakfast! loads of street style food and great coffee just steps away!
Hotel with private beach”
Just awesome, love the private beach and it's not too crowded. The bungalow is nice, big bathtub, comfortable bed. Wifi is reliable. Location along the beach where they have lots of restaurant, plenty of options to choose from.
Great beach hotel”
We went with our two year old grandaughter. She loved the pools and the box of pool toys that were available. The gardens were attractive and a gamelan band played during breakfast. There were also bikes with baby seats so we could cycle along the path with her. The room was small but comfortable. We took the upstairs room and our family had the room below with an outside sitting area where we could all relax at night when our garndaughter was asleep. The bar was a pleasant area to have a drink. The hotel is on the beach but also close to the market and local restaurants. The staff were extremely helpful and email queries were promptly answered. It is also a good location from which to catch the ferry to Lembongan and is an easy 30 minute drive to the airport.
Too short! We booked in en route for Nusa Lembongan and we're sorry we did not stay longer. The location was excellent. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Bicycle hire and seats for toddlers were available in the hotel. They even had a basket of pool toys but he pool which our grandaughter loved. It is on the beach too. The room was comfortable and a cot was put in without us requesting one. The staff were very helpful and answered emails promptly organising transport for us and answering queries. We will go back.
Great hotel, and service with many smiles”
It was our fourth stay at this hotel in as many years and each time it gets better. Our room was not ready when we checked in but this was no problem as we were upgraded to a better one. The meals were great if a little pricey for Bali and the drinks were on the expensive side but the proximity of other restaurants made alternative choices easy.
best stay ever in sanur”
this was our first stay at segara village hotel and it wont be our last LOVED this hotel , its in a great area close to plenty of resturants the staff where great and the grounds beautiful we stayed in 2 room types a cottage room then we extented our stay and booked a bungalow room. both where clean and well equipped the bungalow room was larger with a shower and a bath the 3 pools are lovely
Beautiful tropical garden”
We spent there two nights and loved the tropical garden with the different kind of fontains and sculptures. Great variety of plants. Very interesting is the illumination at night. Nice pool nearby the sea. Restaurant with view to the sea. Wide choice at breakfast buffet. Nearby the centre with many shops and restaurants.
