The location is just next to AB tower and near to Pham Ngu Lao backpacker district. All within a five minute walk away! My room was simple but large. Everything worked. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English too. I enjoyed the stay!

A fair price for the room.”
good location near back-packer area - 2 blocks - quiet in comparison. Backbacker area loud 24-hours a day. On a 'busy in the daylight' street. Not fancy, but good value for the price, which is lower than the backpacker area . A fair price for the facility - only a room - no other amemity.

Dropped the ball”
Having booked a specific room and had confirmation that it was ok I was disappointed to find that the room was not available when I checked in. It was alos disappointing that my room wasnt cleaned one day (I slept in and didnt leave until 10) and that I had to request a replacement towel as one that was left in my room was covered in blood (not mine). Generally this hotel is ok and I will give them another chance

Getting Old”
The furniture is getting old and dated, The air conditioning slow and not cold. The toilet door is stuck and the bathroom has mold at the shower doors. The location though is very good although it does get a little noisy in the daytime.

Shower was busted when we arrived and he tried to replace it with another broken shower head, took about two hours of waiting for them to fix it properly with no apologies from the staff.. also they were unwilling to allow us to use their iron.. room was much smaller than the photos..

Disappointing stay experience!”
The room is old, small and dirty. I booked their family room for 4 nights and thought it will be 1 queen bed x 1 single bed as they advertised but in fact it is 2 single beds combined and they provide 1 extra bed if request. As the room is pretty small and stuffy that cannot load one more extra bed, I declined. I felt like I was cheated since I didn't receive what I paid for! Facilities are old and dirty, esp. the bathroom. After 2 nights of staying there, I got sick and had to move to another hotel and forgo all my payment as they don't allow refund policy. Their staffs are friendly but not very helpful. The bellman even let me handle my luggage on my own and just sitting on the bench playing with his phone, wth?? Never go back to this hotel. The only bonus point is their location which is walking distance to main areas, that's it.

Never Return Again”
My booking was for June 11, 1 night. Upon entering the hotel at 1pm, i could not see any receptionist. Turned out the guy smoking was the receptionist. He told me only have room at 2pm. Finally I got my room key, which was the traditional type with big handles. No key card. Room was very small, with just enough space for a bed and toilet. I was shocked. The shower head leaked water from its end No mineral water provided free in room, need pay. Wifi can only be connected to 1 device at 1 time, meaning laptop can't be connected if handphone is connected to wifi. Lastly, pillows were too high and hurt my neck. When checkout, the guy receptionist was not at his desk again.

Magnificent location, Budget hotel.”
Sen Hotel Saigon is in a perfect location in district 1 ( 300 meters from Ben Thenh Market) . A fine room costs you $19-20 / night, great value. The front desk bend backwards to help you ( their only down fall is that their English isn't great but they do try so hard & they are so friendly & happy & focused on helping you have a nice stay) The rooms are always kept clean, the cleaners are honest ( I slip them a $1 when I see them & it makes all the difference, even if I didn't the job would be done excellent ) I have stayed here on 5 visits to Saigon & will be back in February & it will be my first chose, get a floor above the 2nd floor for excellent wifi. Tiny tips go a long way in any hotel in Vietnam, the hotel staff work hard here & really do try & go out of their way to help you, be patient with them & you will enjoy your stay. Great location for cheap restaurants, only 100 meters across the road in backpacker town.
