Surrounded by several of Jakarta's more exclusive residential neighborhoods, hotels in the Senayan area offer a variety of dining and entertainment options, including a golf course, Klub Golf Senayan.
Plaza Senayan is a three-storey shopping mall with two interconnected department stores that is currently one of the most popular spots with Jakartan hipsters. The city’s large expatriate community is also drawn to the mall for its excellent facilities and proximity to the city center. The Marygold Clock is the first musical clock of its kind in the city, and performs every hour. The mall is just minutes away from the business district, and will soon be served by the Jakarta Monorail upon its completion.
The new 48,000-square-metre Senayan City complex is another shopping mall with two office and apartment towers. The sprawling, seven-storey development attracts a more up-market clientele to its designer boutiques and mid-level clothing stores.
