Incredible experience! Staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful and informative. The surrounding is fascinating, spotted at least 3 different kind of birds just in less than an hour after our arrival! Loads of fish in the lake and soo many different kind of plants! WiFi worked perfectly through the whole time, even when it was heavily raining. Didn't get the chance to use the swimming pool but the water in the pool looked very well looked after, hope will get a chance next time when we'll be back! The food in the restaurant is good but keep in mind there's no other places to eat out next door so slightly pricey. The location is fantastic, 5 minutes walk away from the sun bear and orangutan rehabilitation center. Definitely a perfect stay for people who love the nature and spotting animals. My suggestion is to take Grab to commute there and away as it is cheaper than taxi from the hotel( we were charged 53RM for a 31RM ride back to Sandakan).

The space around hotel is totally amazing!!! Beautiful flora, nice bridges to walk around the place, you can feel like in the heart of the jungle! Breakfast was really tasty (noodles, bananas fritters, fresh papaya, sausages, scrambled eggs, bread, jams, coffe, tea, orange juice). 5min walk from Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. Room was spacious and clean, with AC, private bathroom and balcony. Pool area is big enough and clean, but they close it at 5 or 5:30 pm, so you can't really enjoy it if your stay is short :(

Great stay near Sepilok”
Great location for the nearby visits to Sepilok, Sun Bear and Rainforest Discovery Centre. Rooms were clean, dining rooms provided good meals at a fair price and the pool was a great place to relax after a day on the go. Beautiful grounds as well with some resident wildlife.

What a gorgeous find. Great location for the orangutans and sunbears and sooo much nicer than staying in the nearby city of Sandakan, which is a dump. This is beautifully appointed, in a lovely, peaceful setting. Lovely restaurant, great food, nice selection of rooms, lovely pool and beautiful surroundings. Can't fault it.

Staff were excellent. With so much knowledge. The location was unbelievable. So many birds insects in the jungle. Next door to orangutan centre and Sun bears centre. We didn't want to leave. If you love nature this is the place to go. The staff were so helpful.

Very nice hotel with a wonderful garden directly at the border to the rainforest. You will see Kingfishers, Monitor lizzards, different frogs etc. while walking in the relaxing areal - we will try to stay here again next time 😊

Very nice place to relax. The rooms are big and clean and the outside area is very beautiful with lots of plants and a small pool. Close to the orangutans and sunbears and only short walk to the rainforest discovery center, which are the things to do here.

Good location, excellent value for money”
I was hesitating given the low price but was positively surprised. The location is perfect for those who plan to visit the 2 rehabilitation centers (Sun Bear and Orang Outan) that are 5 minutes away by foot. The facilities are good for a 2 star hotel with a decent pool and nice lake around the rooms, The rooms were clean and equipped with all what you need for a short stop over. The Banana's cafe that is part of the hotel is a an option to get good food at affordable prices for lunch and diner. The hotel also organizes tours and excursions which I cannot comment upon.

Jungle heaven near Sepilok orangutans”
I loved the hotel, the beautiful tropical gardens and lakes and the restaurant with garden and lake view. The pool looked good although I didn't have time to use it. As their website says, do not expect 5 star accommodation, the bathrooms are indeed a bit run down, but who cares when you are in jungle heaven!

Great place and excellent value for money. Clean, friendly staff and location is ideal for sepilok orangutan centre, sun bears. The rainforest discovery centre is only an easy 20min walk away. (Recommend as we had the best orangutan encounter there!!) Pool was a very nice touch for chilling the afternoon after our flight. My only comments would be that the place does need touching up, even resealing the basins etc to make it a bit more presentable but keep the natural charm. Breakfast could also be improved, first day we arrived at 9am and there wasn’t much left... We had a thunderstorm in the evening and you really feel in the thick of it, jungle and all! Great atmosphere.

Great location, nice resort”
We had a good stay for two nights. The resort is walking distance to the orangutan sanctuary. Our room was clean and comfy. The resort itself is very pleasant. The restaurant is fine. Typical food for Malaysia. Overall a good experience and we would definitely stay here again.

Really great place, we stayed in the Deluxe room. It’s a little dated but adds to the character of the place. We extended our stay for one night because it’s such good location, very close to Sepilok Rehab and also RDC. The staff were lovely, the food was brilliant. Great value for money. AC was strong in the room and there were mosquito nets on all the windows so we didn’t have any problems with creepy crawlies! Definitely recommend.
