Serendipity Beach hotels & places to stay

I found good two double Bed rooms so all family is able to stay close ( within one room) . Pool is good but in the center of the all the rooms and no chance of sunburn. Close to serendipity beach and a good fire show at Rocky bar at night. Excellent Halal food and Breakfast variety However Parking space is limited. walking distance from beach. Internet wasn't the fastest one treadmill doesn't support over 114 KG but staff is good, smiling and supporting.

We moved to Beach Club for one night to escape the action on Sihanoukville's Serendipity beach. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the beach, which is nothing special. The pool at the hotel is nice, the room comfortable and the spa very good. Well worth a stay. If you are visiting Sihanoukville for the beach then head further down to Otres Beach, a paradise so far unspoilt.

Good value for money in the peak season. The staff were really friendly and the cleaners were always there to help. Rooms had nice fittings and were immaculately clean and bed very comfortable. Fridge, TV, kettle, water, tea, coffee provided every day. 2 fresh towels per person every day, shampoo, shower gel, comb, toothbrush all provided. Location is good - there are some great restaurants in the area, Serendipity Beach is across the road, and you can get to the main strip of Serendipity Beach in just under a ten minute walk or a minute in a Tuk Tuk for $1 per person. The beach is right opposite and was nice with a good atmosphere - it would be nicer if the beach was cleaner, but that's not the hotel's fault (although when we left, we noticed the beach had been cleaned up)... Overall - as a hotel this is a very professionally run establishment with easy going and friendly service - I certainly recommend it.

I was a bit perplex both before booking & then starting my stay, with all the negative reviews around. First I was lucky enough to stay there once most of construction work was over. Still got some noise from 7 / 8th floor while staying on 6th, but upon request it was stopped immediately! More generally the staff would take the time, sometimes a long one, but get the things done. Because the view wasn't so clear in Agoda's description, I had asked them to confirm with the hotel beforehand. Full sea view was guaranteed. Upon check-in it's NOT what I got ... Showing the e-mail and insisting a bit, smoothly and patiently, I then got it! This was likely an upgrade then. Room was then large, brand new, beautifully constructed, mostly silent. Only slight issues (unique towel, second window lacking plain curtain)s were fixed easily. No room service in the arvo was solved upon request. Limited breakfast the only real let down! Likely a bit over-priced but this is the trend in Sihanouokville!

Pros: Amazing view of the sea. Super comfy beds. A personal patio/balcony for each room. Good water pressure and heater. Mosquito net. Safe deposit. Super friendly and nice owners and employees! Good food at the bar. Cons: Aircond wasn't cold but that was made up for by the sea breeze that was generously entering our room via the window. There was also a weird smell from the bathroom sink but only at certain hour of the day. It's a real steal! This is hands down the nicest money-worth place you can get at Serendipity! Only 5 bungalows so it's not one of those overly populated or cramped place. Loveeeeeeeddddd It!

I stayed at @home for a week in September 17 in a ac room on the 2 floor ... paid AUD$21.60/night ... @home is basic hotel that has seen better days ... it's European managed with Cambodian staff and a few minutes walk from the beach and the island ferry jetty... my room was up 2 flights of 12 very steep stairs ... people with any sort of mobility issues would need to specify the ground floor ... basic amenities eg old style tv, on-the-bathroom-wall type of hot water system (that sometimes tripped the RCD) ... the cleaning staff did not offer to tidy/clean my room in the week I stayed there ... the manager was very friendly and helpfull ... I did not use the restaurant

the Miiya is a nice little hotel in a very good location close to the main tourist areas of Serendipity Beach. all rooms are looking towards the main pool and have a little seating in front. With that the rooms not have a great privacy, but since the hotel is not that large it is fine. the rooms itself are small, but look nice. the bathroom is very dark (no window and black tiles), but all looks very neat. staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast was ok. small buffet and an egg station. for sure one of the nicest hotel in that area, but not really a 4* hotel as advertised.

This was a lovely place. The view of the ocean was spectacular. It is a few mins walk from the main street in Serendipity area and close to the bars and restaurants. There is a nice area to relax and chill out with great ocean views and you can snorkel right outside the front. The only negative was that you could hear the beach front bars and clubs further down into the early morning playing their music. We booked late and got it at a discount so for us it was good value for money and a relaxing stay.

My stay was perfect. I practiced music every morning, enjoyed a lovely shower, had a filling and reasonbly priced breakfast with delicious Khmer coffee, could walk to areas of interest, and end days with a relaxing swim at the pool! The whole guesthouse is compact, but very functional. All the rooms are either situated around a perfectly sized swimming pool or around the back of this courtyard type set up. Rooms in the back allow for slightly more privacy. The owner, Mr. Kim is very friendly and helpful as are all the staff. You can also rent basic bicycles and motorcycles here if you wish to vary your adventures from those that require a walking speed. Each room includes a refrigerator, where you can store your bottles of wine and snacks, and a safe box...good for peace of mind should you want to go hop on a dive boat for a day or two or go hiking to other beaches or, in my case a local microbrewery. A one minute walk to the beach takes you the edge of the more commercial Occhateal beach with its many shore side Khmer restaurants. From here you can either walk down to Party at Serendipity, catch live music at the Led zephyr, or walk to the more backpackerish Otres beach with its laid back restaurants and bungalows. I was never disappointed with my days and nights in Sihanoukville because of this bungalow - even on the two days I did not set foot outside Makara!

* Very good location - 2 short blocks to Serendipity beach and still quiet enough to sleep * Huge pool (though on weekends children start playing in the pool at 5:45 a.m.) * Breakfast choice were extensive and the food very good * All staff (front desk, restaurant, housekeeping, pool) were very friendly and helpful/ * On the street behind the hotel we rented motorbikes which allowed us to get a good feel for the city and other beaches. We particularly enjoyed those quiet beaches even further away than Otres. * Rooms had everything we needed - comfortable beds, good working A/C, nice refrigerator, good water pressure, good TV and the bathroom had very current style fixtures. * Would recomment

Malibu is a lovely gem that takes you away from the madness of Serendipity beach. The best part for us was how sweet the family running it was to us when we stayed there. Chen is the manager - his mother and wife do the cooking (which was the best we had during our stay), his father drives the tuk-tuk (yes, it is a short ride to the town, but Chen's father was our personal chauffeur the entire time! He was so sweetest man - full of smiles, we loved him so much!), and he does so much for the property. They were all so nice to us during our stay. Chen's english is great, he was able to answer all of our questions easily. The location is awesome - little bungalows about a private (small) beach. Amazing views. I would recommend getting a room with a/c if you can afford it - it makes the stay much easier. Quick walk to the beautiful Sokra beach too. We did an amazing boat tour through Sun Tours to Koh Rong that I wouldn't miss either. Overall it was a great stay and we were sad to leave! This hotel is located very close to Serendipity beach, but also near all the restaurants/shops on the road for when you want to get off the beach. The pool is quiet and the pool access rooms are perfect for kids. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are wonderful with a rain shower and a large bathtub - unfortunately the hot water was a bit hit and miss. The rooms have a great vibe. The ladies at the desk are friendly, but it tends to feel like everyone that walks in is a criminal - and definitely don't forget to have your entire family's passport, they will ABSOLUTELY not let anyone check-in without it. Even our 5mo. old baby needed her passport. Beautiful rooms and perfect location (especially for the great price) - just needs to regulate rules with a little more class.

we booked sunday guesthouse simply to have a place to stay on our arrival in sihanoukville. we found the staff very helpful and friendly. we had extremely heavy luggage and they helped us not expecting a tip! the room was much better than we expected.. it was clean and comfortable with a nice balcony and view. we were so satisfied that we even booked a second night!! the only downside would be the hotels location, it is within walking distance to serendipity beach but at night time i would recommend taking a tuk tuk back to the hotel, we never had any problems but the road is a bit dark and secluded. if you want a nice room with a/c near serendipity i would recommend sunday guesthouse!

We were placed in small dirty twin room. It was dark and felt very uncomfortable. It was outside the wifi range so we asked to be moved closer to the front, which the receptionist happily did for us the following morning. Would highly recommend an aircon room as it gets very stuffy all day and night, hard to relax. Just minutes from the beach, and around a 15min walk to the market area which was amazing for food and sight seeing. It wasn't a terrible stay but it certainly wasn't value for money.

The hotel is situated a few blocks back from Serendipity Beach. Our room was a suite and very large although not quite finished (don't think they have any intention of completing it). For instance, the bathroom was not painted. There is a hairdryer, but this has not been fastened to the wall making it very difficult to use with the base loose and the curled extension chord pulling the light base out of the plug when you are using it. On the up side, the bed is super comfortable the bathroom is large and the spa in the room is luxurious. The staff seem to be very helpful and the shuttle to Otres and facilities by the beach like the sun beds great! They just need to remove the stage from New Year's celebration (from over a week ago) which was blocking the view of the ocean.
