Quiet location, charming rooms & pleasant staff”
The compelling reason for choosing this hotel was it's location. It was far away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Bangkok which was much welcomed after spending several harrowing days navigating the traffic, dust and touts offering to sell every imaginable product / service. It was a 5-minute walk to Suzuki Avenue which housed a variety of chic food and beverage outlets, a well-stocked supermarket, some cute boutiques and a small night market. We were a 10-minute cab ride away from the nearest MRT / BTS station and Chatuchak weekend market. A word of caution for guests who have mobility issues as the rooms are located upstairs and the breakfast nook, sun deck and swimming pool are located in narrow places. The rooms were spacious and cosy. Beds were clean, soft and comfortable. Pillows and comforters were fluffy and didn't trigger my sinus allergies. We were provided with 4 complimentary bottles of water each day which is 2 more than your average hotel. There was cable and excellent tv reception on the flat screen tv. We were served a simple but sufficient breakfast of toast with butter and marmalade, a couple of eggs sunny side up, sausages, orange juice and coffee / tea every morning. Nothing fussy and definitely no wasteful buffets (yay!). One weird thing: the orange juice was salty. On our last day, there was a power outtage and water supply was cut. So that explains the big clay water container in the bathroom and torchlight on the dresser! Otherwise, we loved this place. The friendly staffers were a delight and certainly very helpful in providing us with travel tips and advice.
Lovely guesthouse, nice garden ”
We had a very nice stay at Serene Bangkok Bed & Breakfast, enjoying the friendly staff, spacious clean rooms. Childlike, sweet decoration on the walls, happy with the balcony (easy smoking!). We were happy we had choosen this spot, very close to Weekend Market, instead of a non personal hotel. With its lovely garden, it seems to be a small oasis in the midst of busy Bangkok. The only thing that wasn't that good was the breakfast. We would have preffered to pay some more, and than get fresh juice instead of this one. Also, one of the ladies of the reception was really really sweet, the other one seemed to be less interested. But those are the only things that could be better. We will certainly go back here. Good price/value.
Home away from home”
The hotel was cozy and the staff especially the owner was very friendly. I was just booked for a day and was uncertain if I will be able to contact my friend for the rest of my 3 days stay in Thailand. The owner was very accommodating to sy that if I will not be able to contact my friend she will help me find another place which is also of the same rate with Serene Bangkok. And, the breakfast offered was really filling. It would really power you up through out the morning and beyond. Reasonable price overall.
Relaxing surroundings away from Bangkok bustle ”
we enjoyed the large, clean and comfortable rooms, a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and the ability to make the place a home away from home. open decks and courtyard enabled enjoyable out door evenings with local take away meals. the adjacent serene massage added to the relaxing ambience. for the golf enthusiast there is an adjacent driving range. very accessable to local shopping and markets(catuchak)and public transport with bts sky train providing rapid access betweem mo chit and siam square in central bangkok. local taxis drivers appeared to have diffuclty finding the hotel.
Our stay at Serene Bed & Breakfast was nice! You have to have your eyes open not to miss the entrance of the hotel since, it is a little tricky! But, when you arrived you are meet by the nicess and helpful staff! They went out of there way to make our stay great. The room are very nicely decorated! The only bad point is the AC in our room wasn't facing the bed so, it was not than cool to sleep.
Comfortable, feel like home, is a Thai ”
We stay here for 2 nights, 1) Best traditional thai massage we ever had, a traditional thai massage which hidden in a garden with a very reasonable price 2) different design of rooms that make you feel like a home. 3) very friendly and helpful staff can assist whatever you need 4) This boutique hotel surrounded by garden and with a lovely swimming pond Conclusion, we definitely will come back to this hotel again , see you soon Noong , Lisa and Serene
lovely hotel, friendly and peaceful”
stayed for two weeks, my second time of using this hotel, despite the business of bangkok this is a peacefull oasis with pool and shaded gardens, rooms are just so good and pleasant and staff where just so helpful always, and being bed and breakfast you are free to use the room and facilities without being disturbed, the staff were happy to fit in cleaning the room when you wanted, perfect for anyone who wants peace and quite
Serene, green heaven in metropol”
Serene B&B is a great place to stay if you like to get to a small, green scenery after being in the business of Bangkok. The girls who run the B&B are willing and helpfull, though don't have lots of idea's and tips to explore the city. Lovely to swim in the morning, though to small to actually make lines. The breakfast was not to impressive in my opinion; just some toast, juice from a corton, 'fake' meat but great fried egg and lovely coffee! The room was great; lots of space, great beds and levely airco. For me, it was no problem not being in the centre, by taxi to eg. the palace was a 30min ride.
Lovely hotel and very great service”
Our stay in Serene Bangkok B&B was wonderful. Despite the hotel is a little bit far from the city, it is lovely and relaxing. We had great breakfast every morning. The food is very good. The staff is willing to help. The room is well designed and is very clean (thumbs up for the bathroom :))!
lovely place with great service”
We find Serene to be an excellent place to stay in Bangkok. It is convenient to several malls and not far from the hospitals. It is quiet and clean and the staff are very friendly.
Great B&B, Just like being at home”
arrived not knowing what to expect. found on the internet and mahad a poolde the decision to stay because it had a nice looking pool in a pleasant setting. arrived and quickly found i could not have chosen a better place. the service was great, loved the room and loved the casual pool area where we had breakfast every day and sometimes lunch. needed a quiet place for a week and found the perfect place. great restauants, shopping close, night market (mostly for ladies). told the owner whenever we are in bangkok we will stay again.
What a nice hotel, very nice people! A+++++++++”
The hotel is one of the best I have stayed in for a long time. The owner welcomes you when you come, the staff are so helpful. The garden is very very very nice. Its the best I have seen in Bangkok. I have been working in bkk for about four years, and this would be the best hotel I have stayed for my price range.
Taste of serene in Serene Bangkok ”
the hotel itself is very clean, cozy, spacious and well-maintained. each room is individually decorated with a theme. the bathroom is lovely decorated into a thai style, very pleasant. breakfast is served in the wonderful yard which will definitely wake up your appetite.5-minute walk will get you to a shopping center with super market and chain restaurant. the downside is the location - it seems quite a way out of central bangkok. to get into the centre, you need to take a taxi to the sky train.we had troubles in getting back to hotel at night since most taxi drivers refused such a short ride.the staff are friendly but can hardly offer trip advice in english.
Very cute and different kind of place”
if i'm not wrong, serene bed & breakfast is named after the owner's kid daughter, and the whole place has a child-fantasy kind of atmosphere to it. the hotel seems to be converted from a huge 3 or 4-storey house with at least 8 rooms, and each room is hand-painted with a special theme (i stayed in a room where the walls are painted with a forest scene, with two bunnies, ladybugs, and other small creatures). it definitely makes you feel like you're in a different place, in a good way. :) the rooms are huge too. breakfast is prepared-to-order by the cook and served in the reception area. can be a bit slow so it isn't suitable for someone on the go.
i would absolutely recommend this quaint b&b to anyone thinking about taking a relaxed trip to thailand. the environment is lovely and very relaxing, the staff is extremely warm and friendly (if not always proficient in english), and the rooms feel very personalized. breakfast is delicious, albeit very simple, and is served at any time, in any part of the hotel. there is the major avenue shopping mall with fantastic food and a night market and an imax theatre less than five minutes of walking distance away from the hotel. the hotel is also 20 minutes away from jatuchak. unfortunately, for travellers on a tight schedule, or those more interested in seeing central bangkok, the hotel is located some distance away, and many drivers are unfamiliar with the location.
a peaceful retreat close to the heart of bangko”
i keep going back to serene b&b. loves the personal service with a smile. great food. i enjoy having breakfast by the fish pond while reading a book. i can spend hours!
stayed one night due to a delayed flight. so im not the guy to give it review but the staff was very friendly and the room was good.nice hotel, with a nice backyard but the entrance was bad. near the chatuchak market and ok hotel for the price.
quiet spot in the city”
We are very impressed with the overall cleanliness and excellent service that we have received both times we have stayed at Serene. The staff will go out of their way to help you and accommodate your requests. The garden provides a quiet respite and escape from the city. We have no complaints at all.
Lovely hotel and service”
a very lovely and friendly place. we felt, as it should be in a good guest tradition personally welcomed. garden and rooms are maintained with awareness and care. the rooms are individually painted by an artist of the owners family. a nice hall for traditional massage, frequented by locals and foreign guests is part of the complex. a temporary (?) bad smell from the sanitary installation in the sun flower bath-room should be eliminated. bad smell is bad energy and this definitely not belongs to this lovely place. we and our children enjoyed the stay in serene b&b
It was very comfortable”
Its really Good hotel to stay for 4-5 days, Netural Surrounding. Chatuchak Market is just 5 Km Away, Taxi will not charge more than 60 Baht, 3 Mc donalds & KFC are at walking distance, Nice mall & Imax walking distance. Stay for 4-5 days is very confortable, but for more days i will not suggest to stay here as there is no restaurent inside the Hotel, No laundry facility.
Free Wi-Fi in all rooms!
