I was surprised!”
The room were exactly how they are in the pictures online. The price is awesome! like I was honestly telling my husband I feel like I got catfished because of the price and thank God I wasn't! I will be staying in this hotel every time I come to Vegas. Plus is walking distance of the strip!!!
Thank you for an honest truthful review, you are the BEST!
Nice and spacious room”
The room is spacious. Surrounding is great and the hotel is not crowded as it is not likes conventional high rise building. Its more like resort apartment and it is just opposite hard rock hotel. The staff is friendly. It has some distance from the Strip which one will be reluctant to walk. The wifi is slow too. However it is near to airport, so taking a ride service will not cost much.
We loved our stay here. The place maybe off the strip by a couple of kilomenters but you get a fantastic room and a quiet environment for halv the price of any of the hotels on the strip. We were glad we booked here.
Nice clean, new hotel”
Rumor is a very new hotel with beautiful decorations. However, many of the facilities are not available yet (eg. WIFI, swimming pool) There is no casino in this hotel but Hard Rock Casino is just across the street. Its located right smack in the middle of all the actions. One other point to note is the close proximity of this hotel from the airport which mean you could hear planes take off & land.
Staff took forever to check us in. Didn’t know the property AT ALL. Maybe the girl was new but the property isn’t that big. They do not keep up on the facilities as the hot tub was not working. This hotel has gone down hill since the last time i stayed a few years ago.
Best of times, worst of times”
I can understand that we came at a bad time for using the pool, but what I didn't understand was that the hot tub wouldn't be functional. It wasn't. It rarely had enough water to go above the Jets and it was cold, even when they did fill it up all the way you couldn't use it unless you want a bubbly freezing cold hot tub. It was also full of sand and rocks. Serene is an odd choice of names for this hotel since it lies almost directly under an airport landing and takeoff area. If you plan on sleeping bring a white noise machine of some type. Has a restaurant the property but it's only open on the weekends and no one seems to ever go to it so it can't be that good. The only saving grace of this place was that there are really good food options within a block of it of all types. Very No-Frills Hotel, not in a very good area. There is a dispensary nearby and all types of addicts are constantly walking in front of the property's lobby.
Medicare at best”
They sort sheeted by bed every night. They charged fees not explicitly stated on their website. Hookers frequently visited the estabkidhment. They only good thing was the size of the room and the fact that the Hard Rock hotel was direct across the street.
Not very clean!”
The room looked exactly as advertised but I couldn't believe how dirty the shower let alone whole room was! Each corner of the shower had dried dirt and there was a dried smear mark of who knows what next to the toilet paper dispenser. I also found a blue substance that looked to be toothpaste smeared on the sink as well. The toilet itself appeared to be clean and there was a nice supply of towels. The curtains that opened up to the patio had ugly splatter stains at the bottom of them as if someone threw up on them. The glass counter under the TV was also dirty. The walls are also quite thin so you can hear the people next door to you talking. They either must be low on housekeepers or missed cleaning the room I booked because that room was nowhere near acceptable for someone to stay in. Very disappointed. Some positives are that the staff gave excellent customer service & parking was easy & it's a great location being on the strip. I wouldn't book again because of how dirty it was
The pool and spa were closed for renovation which was not noted anywhere in the mobile site . I was not told this until after I paid the resort fee and asked about the pool hours . The manger refused to refund the resort fee. The room had a large soaking tub which was disgusting! Still had hair in it from previous guests! Pillows were cheap and uncomfortable. No coffee or coffee maker in the room . The back entrance was poorly lit and littered with trash ! Nothing Serene about my stay here!! When you read the poor reviews of this place... believe them . I wish I had!
Ok for the price”
Resort was in the perfect location as I had to work at the Hard Rock and it was right across the street. Bed was clean and comfortable. Bathtub was moldy, bathroom walls were stained and sticky. I didn't feel totally comfortable taking a shower. Couch was dirty. Overall I feel that I got a little less than what I paid for because there was a $35 resort charge on top of the $70 room charge for a resort where the pool and hot tub were completely drained. The staff were friendly.
Hi, Thank you for the review. The Hotel service is $25 and as stated on the website the pool is closed during the winter months and reopens March 15th,. we were doing our yearly acid wash to the pool getting it ready to open next week.
Hotel room was not clean not only did it have long white cat hair but the bathroom hadn’t been clean”
Only pro was location if you want to be near the strip and the beds were very comfortable. Other than that the room was not cleaned properly A previous guest had a long white haired cat there was cat hair all over the carpet as well as my husband not being able to breathe after checking in 40 minutes later 1 AM in the morning. Luckily we had an inhaler and breathing treatment. Bathroom floors and shower had not been cleaned properly not only was there some type of liquid spell but Public hair on floor and in shower. In addition there was a domestic dispute in the parking lot outside of our window between 430 and 5 AM that continued for over an hour..I tried to call the front desk to complain and no one answered..
The little things matter”
Their were no clothes hangers in the room. When asked for I was given two. Sign stating hot tub needed work to be done soon was understandable however the paper sign itself looked like it had been in the hot tub a couple of times.
Looks Can Be Deceiving”
This place is out of date and its the ONLY hotel in Vegas that has a tax on the resort fee as i have stayed in Vegas about four to five times a year in the last six years and the hotel would not wave a early check in fee of $25 despite the fact that we were staying there for 3 to 4 days. The reason me and my son stayed at this god AWFUL hotel is that i was at the Mercy of my sons budget for the SEMA convention we were with Media/Press. And all our electrical outlets in our rooms were so worn out that our plugs would just dropout or fall out of the Outlets and my so called King Suite was missing both doors to the bedroom the T.V. in the Sitting area/living room was so Small that my Monitor for my Computer (24inch) is bigger also last but not least the the bathroom counter top and Shower handle need replaced. And i will also ADVISE People/Travelers not to stay here on Trip Advisory, This place looks nice on the outside BUT far from it on the INSIDE!
If you are familiar with Doctor Who at all, this Hotel is the TARDIS of Vegas, Although on the outside, this place may seem a little worn, Inside ,The rooms are MAGICAL! The Location is great , with everything you need a few steps away. The staff was superbly friendly and helpful! Kitchen was short staffed but those things happen from time to time, we weren't in a hurry and so enjoyed a relaxing and delicious breakfast. The pool area was luxurious! Wish it stayed open later than 8 but it was October. Our whole party enjoyed the hot tub. The rooms themselves were HUGE and beyond worth the price. One of our 3 rooms had a hot tub! It was a little worse for wear but there was a note beside it saying they are currently in the process of replacing the Jacuzzi tubs in all the rooms but they hadn't gotten to our room just yet. Seriously my new favorite Vegas hotel! It is a non-gambling hotel but i love that about it. within a short walk from the strip, $15ish Lyft ride to Freemont. A++
The room is clean. Staff are friendly. It would be nice to explain how room/gate keys work. A couple of gates are broken. I wasted a lot of time trying to open a couple of gates to enter the property and eventually went to other gate to get in the property.
Over priced room, poor service ”
The room has a smell, no housekeeping, mini fridge is also not provided . Aircon leaks , requested for repair but was not attended to . Even having problem getting hot water from the hotel kitchen as they do not serve hot water !! Will definitely not return to this hotel nor will I recommend to anyone . One of the worse hotel that I have stayed so far.
give me back the deposit.”
I checked in on March 22 and checked out on March 23. I paid 50 dollars in deposit, but I haven't received any money on my card yet. let me know when the money will come in. Please check and answer.
Room is good, large bed. Outdoor swimming pool. Near hard rock hotel. ”
A little faraway from strip.
Cons: the room didn't have a fridge, the remote to the tv didn't work, and it didn't have outlets where the bedroom was.
In and out”
I came for a short conference. The hotel seemed very nice for the price. There were hotel fees for things I didn’t get to use: a pool in winter, a restaurant that was never open until I was leaving. There was a bathtub in the bedroom that needed to be resurfaced. I also took a shower and closed the bathroom door and the fire alarm went off in the hallway until I opened it back up. So the stay was odd. The staff was friendly and everything else was relatively fine.
