Breath-taking view”

we stayed at Serenus for a night and enjoyed our stay. The view in the morning was breath taking. every photograph we took were like pictures from post cards. we stayed in the triple room and got the view of part of Gregory lake and mountain view. The room was comfortable, there was no air condition because the weather up there was very cold. The staff were very accommodating, friendly and pro active. we felt very comfortable staying there. The only minu point is the drive up the mountain which took us about 2 hr + but seeing the view , it was all worth it. will definitely come back one day.

it depends”

It depends which room you choose. The location and the view is good. The triple room is recommended but the double room on the base floor is really smalln with no window. The front desk boy is not nice and others are good.

Not worth the price”

There is no hot water for such a price, is the worst condition for a hotel compare with all other we lived inSrilanka. But the staff is very patient. If you do not mind live in ground with horrible smell, than book the room for two. Otherwise do not book the hotel. The toliet is very small as well.

Exceptional”

We enjoyed our stay..we felt like we are at home.. Amazing view Manager and staff very helpful..they provided us with a heater Loved the Shisha room and the style. Everything was perfect

Wonderful villa with stunning views”

Everything was great about this place especially the staff who were incredibly helpful with everything including driver accommodation and a packed breakfast for Worlds End, wish we had longer here.

New place, nice setup. ”

The manager of the hotel is excellent. The place seemed new and is quite a nice setup. Hot water was lacking in the morning and breakfast was poor.

Better options”

We booked a triple room expecting to have three beds. Actual had two beds. A king downstairs and then a queen bed in a loft ( with a very vertical ladder ). Room was full of mosquitoes, spend about an hour killing them with a towel when we first arrived. Room has no A/C ( heat or cool ) and no fan. So for mosquitoes you need to close the window, then there is no air movement and it is stuffy. I asked if there was a fan, the response was a blank stare and a no, like noone had every asked before and it was strange for me to say the room is stuffy. Because there is no air movement is the room is also musty and you can see they have painted over mold on the walls. No mosquito nets so we battled mosquitoes all night. Breakfast was western and pretty good. We could wait to leave in the morning. Hotel is on a VERY steep narrow road, our driver had trouble getting the van up the hill in the rain. There are better options.

Avoid room 3”

Bad night because of the barkings dors outside, and no View on the lake from room 3, and not calm at all. But very nice place and nice staff.

Very ugly and basic”

Staff were very friendly. The hotel and rooms are very ugly and old. No amenities. Extremely basic breakfast, wasn’t the best. Beautiful view of the lake.

Lovely Place”

The place was lovely. The view is great. The staff are very kind and friendly. I would consider going back there.

Nice place”

Nice and quiet place to chill, with a beautiful view of Gregory's Lake. The room was quite comfortable and bathroom was good. We were only there for one night while passing through to Ella. The only downside was the continental breakfast - we didn't feel it hit the mark (e.g. poached eggs were way overcooked). Would have been better if they offered a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast menu as well.

Excellent View ”

Best place to stay in Nuwara eliya. Mesmerizing View of Gregory Lake. They arranged our special Bonfire n Sheesha session. Excellent food n great professional behaviour. They provide space to live in for Driver also. Keep up the good Hospitality.

Worth for money with nice view”

Hotel is located at a elevated land facing the Lake Gregory. Which will gives you a nice view through day and sspecially in night. Friendly staff, comfortable beds, cleaner bathrooms. Food selection is limited but taste is good. Overall nice experience.
